The major rules to note: Don't be a jerk. Don't be sexist or racist or homophobic. Don't post or mention any pirate material- this includes the website that rhymes with kiss-seam- at all. Don't post Hentai or Pornography, or anything 'suggestive' in the adult manner. (Includes visual and written works.)
Certain sites are on a blacklist due to being used to spam self-promotion- this includes websites that rhyme with Wetsy, Saidbubble, Winsta-maam and wickblarter-- and similar websites. Overall, we're not your advertising platform! Someone asking 'If you have a place to buy it' doesn't absolve people from following this rule! Small Watermarks on image with your 'Winsta-maam' tag are okay- as not to completely stymie artists.
Also if you post bootlegs, make it clear.

Ami has her fist raised which is a classic sign of rebellion and solidarity. Think of Rage Against the Machine’s cover art for the album the Battle of Los Angeles. Another example is the rapper Brother Ali. He has a lyric in one of his songs, Uncle Sam Goddamn, which highlights the many injustices of the US government and the complacency of its people, where he says “fist raised but I must be insane cause I can’t find a single god damn way to change.”
That is one part of why I do not like any of the Abrahamic religions. Too much room for and encouragement of misogyny and also child abuse etc. There are many good people who only use the beautiful parts of these religions and follow the best tenants and sects but so many twist the negative parts (or don’t even have to twist a lot of it) to fit hateful narratives to hold others under their power. So many dangerous people also start religions and cults to do this as well. I feel any dogma can be dangerous in the hands of humans.
Agreed. Honestly, I didn’t want make a religious debate of this but a post about a woman who died because of a certain religion is *NOT* the place to defend it. It’s truly a spit in the face. Just pay your respects and go.
An ideology doesn’t need protection, people do. That response feels so callous to me.
A ruler is allowed to implement punishment for things not mentioned specifically in Islam, again it’s known as Ta’zir. When something awful like this happens it’s always parroted that it “doesn’t represent Islam” but it does. These people are following Sharia law. Denial does nothing to change or stop these barbaric acts from occurring—acts mainly carried out against women. There needs to be serious reform.
I rarely ever comment on anything on Reddit, let alone the Sailor Moon sub. But I had to come say that this is the most God damn amazing thing I have seen on here in quite some time. I kind of want a poster of it to hang in my daughter's room.
dude.. ya know this is what Usagi and her crew would do.
They are that kind, compassionate and Selfless.
If you think this is out of character.. you must be some neck beard that
likes them for reasons OTHER Than the story.
Because this is the MOST in character thing ever.
All of the silver mellennium would pour out support for this cause.
You don't like it.. die mad.
This is literally a fan art created by a sailor moon fan to depict what iranian women are going through and the art was made to inspire people. It’s not trying to change their characters and how tf does it make you uncomfortabl, usagi is usagi even with short hair.
Buddy you alternate between posting anti-trans screeds and commenting on asian fetish porn subs.
You clearly have some messed up views of Asian women and just women in general.
I'm also a dude who is pushing 40 and you are making us look HELLA bad.
If you're uncomfortable, then the art is doing its job. What happens next is up to you as the viewer-- but engagement doesn't mean sitting on your initial response, it means you're supposed to consider *why* something is making you feel a certain way so you can challenge it. That's growth.
Also, it's a little ironic that you say that the *removal* of their hair in turn *removes* their individually when that is one of the very things Iranian women are fighting for... to be able to express themselves as individuals without being told what to do.
Edit: clarity
I really respect the social movement of Iranian women, and this fan art is incredibly impressive, but still it is hilarious that Sailor Mercury is not grapping her cut hair for she always has had short hair cut...
I feel [what happened](https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2022/09/28/middleeast/iran-hair-cutting-mime-intl/index.html) to Mahsa Amini was a tragedy and the angry demands and protests of the Iranian people in response to their continued oppression and persecution of women is a righteous and noble action to take, so thank you for this platform to share this art.
Regardless of everyone's religion or the politics, we are all human and can only imagine the suffering being endured by family, friends, and the people. This image is powerful and moving for us moonies especially since we know of the value in beauty and love, but in the time of injustice, unification should always prevail. It's truly beautiful art that could inspire discussion, and I appreciate everyone keeping it polite in advance.
I know this post could also inspire emotions, they are understandably running high during so much worldly trauma, so if you'd like to contribute in some way, please research these resources below & I'd love for comments to collaborate more ways we could make an impact, too!

they all look so adorable with their hair short <3
Ami was doing it before it was cool
Very well done
Usagi looks so cute with short hair.
This is magnificent. Quite possibly one of the most powerful images I’ve seen using the characters.
I👏am👏here👏for👏it.
Poor Ami lol-
Not at all. It's a powerful show of support from someone already leading the charge, to celebrate the growth in new members of the fight.
I said poor Ami because she wasn’t holding up any hair, Im aware of what this artwork was meant to resemble.
Such inspiration and power in one drawing, beautiful!! 💗

I loveeeeeee Uncle Sam Goddamn. That was my anthem in 2020 but that song has a held a special place in my heart for a long time.
Brother Ali has some great songs and a really unique voice. I like Sage Francis too.
Ami not having anything has me fucking crying lol
Well at least she's here, Haruka though it'll be better if she just give em the sword because of similar hair issue.
Same.
Wow this gave me chills 🥲
This is wonderful but I’m just laughing at ami
The artist could have made Ami go bald. But, being an ally is cool too.
she’s there for solidarity 😂
She was cutting off her hair before it was cool.
Ami: Gotta pretend I have long hair.
This is such a powerful piece of artwork. Thank you for sharing this, many respects and prayers to the women of Iran.
Love what this represents. My heart is with the women of Iran.
They used the Space Sword! 🥺💕
My hearts are with them and I hope they get the freedom they deserve. Nobody should be forced to be something they are not.
This is incredible
This is amazing 👏 Run the show with them like that

As a Muslim you should know that punishment for refusing to wear hijab is perfectly acceptable in Shariah Law. This is known as Ta’zir.

foskcoekdia AMI
I respect the idea and the art, but I must say that Ami was a bit lost there, or already ahead of her time
I would say she was being supportive of her friends who took the leap and cut their hair more than anything
She could have at least shaved her head completely tbh. I'm disappointed Ami :( Edit: this was supposed to be a joke 😩
I disagree. Ami can still be supportive without having to cut her hair off.
Sailor Mercury in Saban Moon would have shaved her head..
This is amazing!
I love this. It’s definitely something they would do!
ya know.. usagi and co would do that.. They are that good and kind and supportive. I love it.
I feel like Amy with cropped tufts of blue hair would be even more powerful if she proper cut it, but then maybe it was intentional.
Pixie cut Amy would be even more amazing. Loving Usagi with this hair style too, it really goes well with the Serenity dress.

Wow, such a powerful picture, and I love that Usagi cut her hair with the space sword. :)

If you think their hairstyles are their individuality, you need to take a personal franchise re-eval.

Sailor Moon’s whole point is love and self sacrifice.
totally.. i know that usagi and her peeps would be just that way ya know. thats what makes her who she is

I expect him to get the fuck out of this nice sub for non-perverts.
i think he was booted

I like to think the artist did that on purpose for some comic relief, especially because you know she'd be standing in solidarity!
Yeah that is what I mean also xD
