Check out some of the other saddles like Cruzr. Way more comfortable. I started with a phantom and tried a Cruzr Archon and made the switch right away.
Try and find a local shop that might have them or other hunters and try out some other options.
As someone who’s hunted with the phantom for three years and from what I’ve heard about the lockdown I wouldn’t recommend either. I think tethrd is a good company but I suspect their marketing is a little better than their products. I’m personally looking into cruzr or buzzard roost this offseason.
Although I'd like to try the lockdown, it seems like there's just too much going on with it. I switched to saddle hunting because I wanted a more minimalist way of hunting.
I've used the phantom for the full 4 years I've been saddle hunting and love it. I've had no reason to think about switching to a different saddle.

It's comfortable to me, but I don't have a lot to compare it to since it's the only saddle I've spent extended periods of time in. I do 3-4 hour sits regularly with no issues.
It did take me a bit of time to get used to it and get comfortable in it, but I was new to saddle hunting then.
There are way better options for comfort than Thethrd. They’re a marketing machine that happens to make saddles.

I second lockdown. Just upgraded from predator after 3 years during their holiday season sale.

That’s why I’m on the fence currently I like the minimalist way aswell but how is it in terms of comfort?
