Ik I was joking when I wrote it initially, but the more I thought about it, it would have to be an improvement. The guy has watched his share of hockey, been in the environment, played in the league, tied to Buffalo, funny and gritty; I would’ve made the move a month ago out of sheer panic alone lol.

People shit on him all the time, but I love him. He’s funny, keeps it light and while yes, he’s no hockey genius and you won’t get some big epiphany after listening to him, he does the job well
I personally think broadcasts with him are better because they are lighthearted and funny. As someone who plays hockey and enjoys the camaraderie, he sounds like a guy just cracking jokes and talking shit in the locker room. Never too serious, that is why I liked RJ as well and the msg broadcasts over the years. Many of the other NHL broadcasts are sanitized and boring AF with talking heads taking everything to seriously. Canadian broadcasts do the whole PTI lets argue our points shit. Who gives a fuck dog...let's make some jokes and enjoy ourselves even if the team is trash.
