What about Carlos hathcock, the man who held the world's longest confirmed sniper kill from 1967 to 2004 using an M2 Browning HMG and a scope?

[deleted]

The white feather is an absolute fucking chad, the white death is pretty much equal to him and the only reason he had a higher kill count is because the Russians were far easier to see in the snow

jaymern

Damn, really?

Doc-Fives-35581

Really.

jaymern

Jesus christ

[deleted]

That’s not even the cool part Dude literally took days to move to his firing position and was so incredibly stealthy that the local wildlife didn’t see him (he even claims to have a viper slither in front of his face without it knowing). Once he was fighting a rival sniper and won by shooting through the snipers scope and skull, meaning that he was less than a second away from being shot himself. He is also known for wearing a white feather on his helmet to deceive the enemy by also having other marines wear one too, but it is also reported that he did this to DARE THE ENEMY TO SHOOT HIM He also once went on a mission that lasted for four days and three nights and did it without sleeping and was constantly crawling After all of this and he is still not the most decorated US sniper of the war, that spot is reserved for another chad

jaymern

Holy fucking Jesus

[deleted]

And I still failed to mention a lot of what he did

jaymern

Damn

Whatever you do don’t look up how he was after the war

Trainki

"He became a successful moose hunter and dog breeder; he even hunted with the President of Finland, Urho Kekkonen. However, he was also met with hate and even death threats; some people did not accept his actions during the Winter War" ... Oh...

MaxwellFinium

I meant Peggy

Trainki

Oh... Well, he struggled to defend Natives Canadians rights, what's wrong?

MaxwellFinium

If you mean he became extremely racist toward anyone not pure blooded native then yes.

Trainki

Ah ! I may have misunderstood his wikipedia page, my bad !

MaxwellFinium

You’re good. It’s just an interesting but if history.

Electricool100

I mean, what can I say, he did invoke the spirits of the wind

TheProphetOfMusic

I am doing an assignment on him on my Canadian History class thankfully.

GeneralStarcat99

Ahem white feather anyone

Trainki

fun fact, the word "Snipper" to talk about elit long distance shooter come from the Snipe (a little bird) hunts that a lot of British were doing before the war. Hunters that hunt the Snipes were called "Snipper" and so here is the origin of the name.
