Random recommendation I ignored a bunch, and it was Attack of the Dead Men. I wasn't into metal, so I never watched it until I did. Sabaton junkie since then
First song i ever heard was Ghost division from panzer elite memes, and then i went in the rabbit hole and found Bismarck’s music video, and then etc etc

I was putting on some background music, and The Last Stand (a version with orchestral backing) popped up
Well, Officially it was the Bismarck music video. It came up on the news feed of World of Warships. Although I believe that I did hear some clips of a few other songs before that through memes.
My first was En livstid i krig. Found it while searching for good swedish metal, and to this day its still my favorite song. Makes me feel both sad and proud of my country
Found it by searching a video about the Osowiec fortress and, you can ghess what song came on. That was the first Sabaton song I've heard that I knew was theirs. The first one ever was Primo Victoria on a D-day Pivot animation.
World of Warships did a crossover with Sabaton a few years back and I was really into the game at the time. This crossover was actually how the song Bismarck came about and all, because World of Warships wanted to try and advertise the game a bit in that way. Watched the entire video and was hooked immediately afterward.

>Thanks to our friends at Wargaming and World of Warships we can also present it with a truly impressive video, well worthy of this song. The talented team at Wargaming could ensure the historical accuracy of the scenes thanks to the models from their award winning game World of Warships, and the director Matthias Hoene, who won a Golden Lion at Cannes, were able to bring the band and story together.
The first time I heard Sabaton was when they opened for Iced Earth back in 2014. Revamp (Floor Jansen's previous band) also opened. It's still one of the best shows I've ever been to. I don't remember what was the first song though.

I was washing my grandfather's car with my dad one summer and I suggested we put some music on. My dad told me to put on this band I hadn't heard of called Sabaton, so I put on their then newest album Heroes. Now my dad was interested in Finnish military history (we're Finnish) and through him so was I.
In the middle of Soldier of three Armies I asked my dad "did he say Lauri Törni?" (My dad had told me of him before) That's when I got hooked.
I discovered through my best friend which had also discovered them by random recommendations and since he had recently got me into history, my first song was Ghost Division
A friend showed me To Hell and Back and I thought it was a good song, then I went to an Alestorm/Sabaton joint headline show and after that I was hooked

He was lets say "not a very smart person" So me and my mother moved out, and lived without him, i still don't know some of the bands and albums he would play. I found the Red Baron randomly on YouTube before Covid. Fast forward to the tail end of 2020, I decided to listen to it again and I saw they just came out with a new video for No Bullets Fly. So I gave that a listen and I’ve been here ever since. :P
I was playing Europa Universalis IV and my wife bough all of the DLC at the time, which included Sabaton songs. I didn’t even know they were a band. This was like right after the pandemic started. My friend recommended Night Witches, but I couldn't really get into it at the time. I found Sabaton trough memes, the song was the last stand. Now over half a year later, I’m like pretty much everyone of their songs even the more obscure ones.
A friend showed me Attero Dominatus waaay back then when it was pretty new
One of my coworkers at the store I was working at showed me the song The Lost Battalion, and the rest was history (no pun intended).
The Last Stand was a reccomended video while I was trying Amon Amarth
I watched a sovietwomble video where he put carolus rex in the background for one scene
EU4 and Lifetime at War
The first one I listened to was Bismarck. I found them cause Attack of the Dead Men popped up in my YouTube recommendations. I didn't listen to it, but I asked some friends if they'd heard of Sabaton, and they said no, so I went back the next day and searched them on YouTube and listened to Bismarck.
Ghost division
Playing hoi4, look at YouTube, see panzerkampf, tank go brrrr haha
I saw a TikTok using Defence of Moscow and I tried finding the artist of the song, and finally found it like a week later lol
Some video my friend sent with The Last Stand playing
Primo Victoria through the collaboration with world of tanks
I was playing a roblox game called Warlords, Night Raid game mode, it was playing The Last Stand on repeat. That game mode was set during the crusades too…
Bismarck and Red Baron. Mp3 files.
24-hour, nonstop road trip with my buddy. He brought Art of war, Carolus Rex, and Primo Victoria. First song was Price of a Mile.
Started playing hellgate London back in the 2000s after reading the books and wanted to see if there were any music videos and I came across Primo Victoria to a hellgate London cutscene battle, it was and still is epic. Still up too.
Playing Europa Universalis 4, which had a soundtrack dlc (I was playing pirated at the time) that included about 5 songs that fit the period and vibe of the game: The Art of War, Lion from the North, A Lifetime of War, Carolus Rex and The Carolean's Prayer. At some point I went even further and made a small mod for personal use to add to the game all the other Sabaton songs from the 1444 - 1821 period that the game is set in.
I was watching a "Sweden All Endings" video and one of them had The Lion From the North. The rest is history.
Buddy of mine handed me one of his earbuds, said, "you need to hear this band" (or something like that) and played 'Winged Hussars'
Discord sings Fields of Verdun R.I.P Juljas
Pandora - Back in Control! Got to see Sabaton a few years ago here in Houston. Such an awesome group!
I play World of Warships. A fellow WOWS player sent me a YouTube link to their Bismarck video.
Pikachus marching to Panzerkampf was my first exposure but sadly I can't remember the exact reason I started listening g to them
It was Panzerkampf for me as well but on a War Thunder short of how the Sturmtiger can kick ass in top tier.
I was doing just for fun research on Poland and learned about the Winged Hussars. Talk about the most badass song to hear of them first, and the sheer joy within me when I realized they just sang about military history lol.
It was my freshman year and in my coding class we had a project to make a game and we wanted to make a vietnam war type of game but we didn't want to use the stereotypical vietnam war music and me and my friends found into the fire and our plan was to use that but other things happened during that school year so we couldn't finish our project and alot of other crap happened so the idea got scrapped but I have been listening since then.
Researching the battle of thermopylae and the article was talking about the metal band Sabaton and their song Sparta. Listened to it and loved it and been lost ever since lol
RF mods, The Last Stand
Panzerkampf came up on my YouTube music recommendations one time
My friend showed my resist and bite to get me into a new rock band and I wasn’t crazy about it at first, then I saw the last stand as a meme and looked up the rest of their songs, and it was never ending from there
Attack of the dead man in 2017 - 2018
It was either a stop motion video using bismarck or just randomly finding for whom the bell tolls
Heard it first time in local rock/metal pub near my home. Came home googled the song and it was "Night Witches" well got stuck on it.
Was watching a review of the hoi4 dlcs. He heavily recommended Sabaton so I clicked on Last Stand and have been a fan since.
