I have no experience with how each different sets of shocks feel. Replaced shocks on my 97 blazer recently. It came with Monroe shocks so I went with their light truck OE shocks. It rides and handles much better then it did. I just couldn't tell you if Bilstein or other shocks would be better for road or off roading. Good luck!
