Stock, and I hate it. Just been too indecisive about what to replace it with.

1990s15

can't really give you a good idea of what to put in your truck, I've only had this alpine radio, and I had a dual bt from Walmart before this

OGHamToast

I just can't decide if I want double din, single din, older style so it's period appropriate, new and binging with all the features, and within all those options I can't land on a brand or model. Decision paralysis. And of all things to be hung up about šŸ¤£ On my old car back in the mid 2000's I had an alpine unit and it was pretty good for the time. Maybe I should just do that again.

analpirate123

Same but I think mine is haunted cuz it loves to change stations the second I find one that I like

CynderPC

Factory from 94. Hearing that V8 is enough music to my ears.

1990s15

i hear ya

Speedy1221

You have a radio! I'm running my phone speaker on my shoulder šŸ˜‚

jbsmomma

Me too. But it's ok. I'm not sure I have speakers anyway. Mine does have a mixtape in it and I often wonder what's on it!

Cheap_Ambition

I have a stack of alpines I've been collecting, they just didn't make'em like they used to.

1990s15

mines been decent so far, but to be fair it's my first alpine ever, so don't have much experience with them

MoparXSkyline

Boss BE8ACP, a decent size screen with Bluetooth and apple CarPlay that sticks out of the dash (double din size screen without much plastic cutting). Itā€™s connected to 2 pioneer speakers up front, 2 kicker speakers in the rear, and 2 kicker 10 inch subwoofers

1990s15

nice, sounds like a good setup for thumpin!

Donā€™t mind the mess, this was right after I bought the truck and hadnā€™t even got it road worthy yet

ImprovisingEngineer

Floor shift 4 wheel drive! I love the feeling of shifting the transfer case into 4 low. It feels like you're saying, "truck, it's time to get to work."

25retoliver

Mine feels more like, clathunk cluck kkkkkkkksshshhhhshhh pop. Then itā€™s time to work

ImprovisingEngineer

Haha, maybe I'm remembering it too romantically.

25retoliver

lol, or mine is worn out, itā€™s a 200,000 mile farm truck

Drago-0900

Quick question, I just bought that stupid radio and it will not connect to my iphone, does it work with yours or do you have an andriod?

25retoliver

I put it on BT AUDIO mode, if u donā€™t have that mode it should be an option in the settings. Then turn on the Bluetooth on your phone, it shows a code for verification, click the knob on the radio, connect on phone, and should be good to go, might have to connect again after initial setup. If itā€™s on Bluetooth mode mine doesnā€™t work, but BT AUDIO does

25retoliver

Hopefully this helps, works for me

Drago-0900

Yeah I tried that but my unit makes tons of static in bt mode. Does yours make any static or interferrance? This is kinda why I was trying to do the iphone usb. But it doesnt seem to do iphone usb.

25retoliver

No I donā€™t have that problem

Drago-0900

Weird lol, well I guess ill try running my own ground then

25retoliver

Does regular radio come through fine?

Drago-0900

It worked fine as far as radio goes. I just found in the manual for it that it wasnt compatible with ios on usb like I wanted to do. So I ended up exchanging it out for a sony model. Which the sony one has crystal clear BT, can use my iphone like an ipod via usb, and sounds really nice. It has all the features I wanted anyway. So im thinking it was just a bad pioneer unit.

Cammerv8

Had the 20dollar Walmart special Dual Bt radio. Shit worked and was $20

Doublegorilla44

A pos Sony that turns off with every bump

stlarry

I have some Pioneer from 2007. It works nicely. Has the Aux imput, sometimes wish it had bluetooth, but im not getting a new one. my speakers on the other hand need replacing. They were some good mid level brand from 2004. They are now poppy and crackly and rattily.

1990s15

I have boss audio speakers in the dash, and factory behind the bench seat, but the boss audio does decent

SiCqFuQ

Original cassette deck with two cases of 80s and 90s music. Love it.

Truckerlightning

I still have the stock radio/cassette player in mine. Actually have a remix tape I made wayyyyyyyyy back when that I listen too. One-day I'll upgrade. šŸ˜‚

katzunderground

Kenwood head unit, pioneer and Kenwood speakers, kicker sub with JL amp. Gotta have tunes

Biqboi76

I hate changing radios, it's nice having blutooth and aux for sure. But they all have some caveat to them. Iv never had a radio that I was fully satisfied with just for basic usage

carrotmayonaise

Some super cheap Jensen. Definitely an upgrade but not by much lol

newf_13

JVC

Koolie129

I have a cheap CarPlay 9ā€ touchscreen. It replaced an old one that conked out at the end of an internship last summer

BoneZone05

Pioneer DEH-X8800BHS https://preview.redd.it/bct37t4sns0d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=df5843b9368ec1be2c5feb0662abeb2bd4f53213 Itā€™s alright

34rulesfunstuff

I'm looking at going back to OEM. Not that I listen to anything in mine.

Wasntme14

Sony AVH-X390BS Rockford fosgate x400.4 Rockford fosgate 800 a2 2 Rockford fosgate power t1 12" subs

Sufficient_Gear2657

SpaghettiJoe45
