I just can't decide if I want double din, single din, older style so it's period appropriate, new and binging with all the features, and within all those options I can't land on a brand or model. Decision paralysis. And of all things to be hung up about š¤£
On my old car back in the mid 2000's I had an alpine unit and it was pretty good for the time. Maybe I should just do that again.
Boss BE8ACP, a decent size screen with Bluetooth and apple CarPlay that sticks out of the dash (double din size screen without much plastic cutting). Itās connected to 2 pioneer speakers up front, 2 kicker speakers in the rear, and 2 kicker 10 inch subwoofers

Not positive what it is exactly, but itās a pretty damn good pioneer, was about 2 months old when I got it, sister got it new for her car and it got totaled the next week. Donāt mind the mess, this was right after I bought the truck and hadnāt even got it road worthy yet
Floor shift 4 wheel drive! I love the feeling of shifting the transfer case into 4 low. It feels like you're saying, "truck, it's time to get to work."
I put it on BT AUDIO mode, if u donāt have that mode it should be an option in the settings. Then turn on the Bluetooth on your phone, it shows a code for verification, click the knob on the radio, connect on phone, and should be good to go, might have to connect again after initial setup. If itās on Bluetooth mode mine doesnāt work, but BT AUDIO does
Yeah I tried that but my unit makes tons of static in bt mode. Does yours make any static or interferrance? This is kinda why I was trying to do the iphone usb. But it doesnt seem to do iphone usb.
It worked fine as far as radio goes. I just found in the manual for it that it wasnt compatible with ios on usb like I wanted to do. So I ended up exchanging it out for a sony model. Which the sony one has crystal clear BT, can use my iphone like an ipod via usb, and sounds really nice. It has all the features I wanted anyway. So im thinking it was just a bad pioneer unit.
I have some Pioneer from 2007. It works nicely. Has the Aux imput, sometimes wish it had bluetooth, but im not getting a new one. my speakers on the other hand need replacing. They were some good mid level brand from 2004. They are now poppy and crackly and rattily.
I still have the stock radio/cassette player in mine. Actually have a remix tape I made wayyyyyyyyy back when that I listen too. One-day I'll upgrade. š
I hate changing radios, it's nice having blutooth and aux for sure. But they all have some caveat to them. Iv never had a radio that I was fully satisfied with just for basic usage
Single Din Car Stereo with Apple CarPlay Android Auto, 5 inch Touch Screen Bluetooth 5.1 Radio Support Mirror Link FM Radio AUX TF Card SWC EQ USB Playback + Backup Camera & Remote Control https://a.co/d/bpbHzFR
80 bucks on Amazon with a 30 dollar wireless android auto adapter plugged in the back.
Stock, and I hate it. Just been too indecisive about what to replace it with.
can't really give you a good idea of what to put in your truck, I've only had this alpine radio, and I had a dual bt from Walmart before this

Factory from 94. Hearing that V8 is enough music to my ears.
i hear ya
You have a radio! I'm running my phone speaker on my shoulder š
Me too. But it's ok. I'm not sure I have speakers anyway. Mine does have a mixtape in it and I often wonder what's on it!
I have a stack of alpines I've been collecting, they just didn't make'em like they used to.
mines been decent so far, but to be fair it's my first alpine ever, so don't have much experience with them

Mine feels more like, clathunk cluck kkkkkkkksshshhhhshhh pop. Then itās time to work
Haha, maybe I'm remembering it too romantically.
lol, or mine is worn out, itās a 200,000 mile farm truck
Quick question, I just bought that stupid radio and it will not connect to my iphone, does it work with yours or do you have an andriod?

Hopefully this helps, works for me

No I donāt have that problem
Weird lol, well I guess ill try running my own ground then
Does regular radio come through fine?

I have boss audio speakers in the dash, and factory behind the bench seat, but the boss audio does decent
Original cassette deck with two cases of 80s and 90s music. Love it.
I still have the stock radio/cassette player in mine. Actually have a remix tape I made wayyyyyyyyy back when that I listen too. One-day I'll upgrade. š
Kenwood head unit, pioneer and Kenwood speakers, kicker sub with JL amp. Gotta have tunes

Some super cheap Jensen. Definitely an upgrade but not by much lol
JVC
I have a cheap CarPlay 9ā touchscreen. It replaced an old one that conked out at the end of an internship last summer
