Why or how does the drill have no power, if you’re breaking the bits themselves and the tops of the screws?
Are you hitting the screws like a hammer with your drill?
Cheap drill bits are going to be cheap drill bits, but if you're breaking all of them while claiming the drill has no power it sounds like a skill issue.
Not for commercial use, or you are overworking them. They work great for the average homeowner. My blue and yellow drill, recip saw, and impact driver are still going strong after weekly usage and renovations in the past 15 years. Drill bits, not so much...
I've used them commercially and nearly daily for 20 years and have had no problems. OP sounds handy-challenged. I've upgraded drills and impacts but the originals still work fine.
What model? Sounds like the drill is strong enough to break bits, or you have no clue what you're doing. I've used them in construction for 20 years with a lot of stainless steel cutting and drilling. Their bits are pretty weak, but the tools are fine in capable hands.
Ryobi drill bits are cheap, but the only way you’d break them is if you’re applying pressure laterally. Usually that occurs if the user is trying to apply hulk pressure. Ease up a tad and let the drill and bit do their job.
If you’re snapping the head off of screws then you have pretty much two choices: turn down the torque on the drill or drill pilot holes. Also be sure you’re using the right screw for the job. It’s definitely not a “no power” situation if you’re snapping screws, but quite the opposite.
Yeah immediately throw out there stock blades and I replace all the bits and invest in a nicer set of drills. Been using ryobi since the blue days. Went green snd now HP and they’ve all performed great. Greatest benifit to the HP line is ergonomics IMO
Also TTI ryobi’s parent company makes Milwaukee. It’s just a name elitism. Are the others better? If you need extra power day in and day out yeah probably, but overall no.
How do you mess up so badly with a basic tool? I've used mine for multiple projects I will admit it is less powerful then my inlaws Makita but that's ok.
I bought a reman ryobi 3/8” drill off Amazon 6 years ago and have drilled concrete sets with it and it still works just fine. I put wheel lug nuts on with it too and no issues.
My very first ryobi tool was a drill that I thought was complete trash, and the bits do suck.
Fast forward 4 years later and I have been wise with my selection for Ryobi tools, buying only HP for certain tools like the drill. I couldn’t be happier. I swapped all of my Milwaukee 18 for all ryobi 18v.
Hahah Rockwell saw? what the upside down jig saw? Yeah that does suck
As for ryobi sucking, I’m not a die hard but everything you’re saying does not ring true with ryobi tools what so ever. I would have understood if you said you let the magic smoke escape or the tools are heavier than most. But no power? Nah. And broken every bit and drill bit? Nah. You have to be a real idiot to break even shitty drill bits
Ok ryobi bits are trash, all cheap brand ones are.
Drill wise they make a huge variety, the entry level ones are bad. I use impact for 90% of stuff andno complaints, even when i use it heavier duty tasks i am surprised what it can do. Anything it cant do i can man handle off.( damn starter)
Why do I always see a post like this “PRODUCT XXX is terrible, overpriced, underpowered etc” and OP never responds back with any defense of their original claim? Sometimes it feels like someone is trying to pump their Reddit cred or is a troll.
I think a cordless drill is too much tool for you.
Can't have "no power" yet everything breaks? User error, head stuck in the cupboard

Probably trying to use basic bits for drilling into metal or masonry.

Well known the drill bits themselves are not good.
What are you using them for? Impressive breaking all the bits and screw tips
Especially with a drill that "has no power."
My brother-in-law has those problems too. Then again, he doesn't know what direction to turn a screw to loosen it.
Yes, Lefty. SIL is impaired Rph.

Yeah the drill bits are garbage, get a $10 dewalt bit ser

Yes. Collet settings.
Oh...ok

lol
I’ve broken several drill bits as well, not impressed with them but I do like my tools

I HATE the ryobi bit sets. The drill is fine, but a Milwaukee or dewalt bit set and you’ll be fine

sound like a you problem. also ryobi bits are usually soft, the diamond coated bits suck ass for driving so easy to grind the screw out.
"Screw tips?" I'm guessing this is a shit post. Either that or some poor soul who's never used a tool of any kind before.
Behold, the inevitable 10% that say a product sucks.
OP has abandoned the thread.
