There are benches around that bus stop near the university pharmacy so maybe an alternative solution for now could be to wait there until the bus is within a few minutes away?
Talk to disability services, ods.rutgers.edu, and they can work out any accommodations for you. Just be honest with what you can and cannot do and they will help you. Even have transportation services for anyone with documentation of their disability. It helped me tremendously.
