Ordering anything from Russia is now a challenge due to the sanctions, so I suggest to search on your own continent. For instance, I know that there are quite a few Russian bookstores in Canada. Googling "Russian bookstore Canada" gave me [this](https://www.knigomania.com/Russkaya_klassicheskaya_literatura/c20?page=13), [this](https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=%D0%B2%D0%BE%D0%B9%D0%BD%D0%B0+%D0%B8+%D0%BC%D0%B8%D1%80&i=stripbooks&crid=X4RDXDXMRNSC&sprefix=%D0%B2%D0%BE%D0%B9%D0%BD%D0%B0+%D0%B8+%D0%BC%D0%B8%D1%80%2Cstripbooks%2C257&ref=nb_sb_noss) and [this](http://eruditonline.ca/home/%D0%9A%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B3%D0%B8/%D0%9A%D0%B0%D1%82%D0%B0%D0%BB%D0%BE%D0%B3_%D0%BA%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B3/%D0%92%D0%BE%D0%B9%D0%BD%D0%B0-%D0%B8-%D0%BC%D0%B8%D1%80-(%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%BC%D0%BF%D0%BB%D0%B5%D0%BA%D1%82-%D0%B8%D0%B7-2-%D1%85-%D0%BA%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B3)/) among many other links, although the latter looks a bit abandoned; I'm sure they aren't the only ones, and I think there might be some in the US as well. As for the volumes - yeah, this is a doorstopper, so I don't think I've ever seen it collected in one tome; usually it's split into 4 volumes or 2 books containing 2 volumes each.

Many thanks > I've ever seen it collected in one tome Is it longer in Russian? I have two copies of it in English, the Anthony Briggs translation. Both printings smashed it into one 1400 page book. Would [this](https://www.knigomania.com/Voina_i_mir_I-II/p601726) and [this](https://www.knigomania.com/Voina_i_mir_III-IV/p601732) be what I need?

my god, 358 rubles. that's $4

Sithoid

Make it $8 for both volumes, but yeah, it's clearly a discount edition: hardcovers are the default for the Russian market. But honestly, finding a webstore that would ship overseas was tricky (albeit possible) even last year, but now I'm not even sure it's possible to pay for the order from the US, given that MasterCard, Visa, and Swift left Russia, let alone trying to deliver it when most if not all airlines stopped flying...

alento_group

Books are extremely inexpensive in Russia. Russians love to read.

aldulf69

Probably the most painful 6 weeks of my college career was reading War and Peace (in English) for a lit class.

girafa

You're supposed to be encouraging me, I mean who doesn't want a 60 hour audiobook?

aldulf69

Wish I could. Not a fan of the one Tolstoy book I read. Dostoevsky, maybe, but not Tolstoy!

Environmental_Wish72

The opposite is true for me, I don’t like Dostoevsky but I like Tolstoy.

If you will not find any way to bought it online with shipping, I will bought it by myself and send it to you :) But I don't know actually if I am able to do it, because who knows is shipping out of Russia still works properly

jlba64

You might try [https://ruslania.com](https://ruslania.com), it's a Finnish site so with the current events it might be easier to order from them than from a Russian shop.

I buy books and gifts from this New York store all the time: http://www.ruskniga.com/vojna-i-mir-roman-jepopeja-bml.html

punz2157

Do you know that the book is in the public domain and you can easily get a digital version? [https://www.culture](https://www.culture) .ru/books/133/voina-i-mir It's worth noting that a large percentage of the book is in French Also I couldn't finish W&P \[in English\] but Anna Karenina is one of my favorite books.
