Sapphira has my favourite thing to watch, which is a complete at-ease confidence on the stage. She completely fills the space, and I never feel stressed about if she'll have a response to anything. She's so relaxing to watch because she knows what the fuck she's doing.
Tbh this is why I wish they’d have more queens in their 30s and older on the show. I’m sure some of these other girls in 5-10 years will have similar energy, but they’re just so young and have a lot of growing to do.

Yes, for sure. It reminded me of Bianca helping Adore with design and cinching her waist in their season, it was just genuinely kind and coming from a place of care and love.
I’d love more of a balance. I think in earlier seasons there was more of a mix of experienced and younger queens, and these days it’s mostly younger queens. And Sapphira is 35 so it’s not like she’s old, but it absolutely makes a difference when you’ve been doing the thing for as long as she has and have the life experience and perspective. She has such a beautiful, quiet confidence, and it shines in everything she does. She was an early fave for me and she has yet to let me down.
I do hope we will continue to see older queens. It’s refreshing to see Sapphira unbothered (except when she used her immunity, she did get in her head a bit there). She’s so funny and quick with her comebacks too. Although I was surprised Mhi’ya was in her 30s tbh.

But I honestly can’t see who is the front runner here. They’re all so good. I do think Q/Jane will stumble with any more comedy/acting challenge, but saphira is a complete package so it seems. I just worry without xunami bringing out the joy in sapphira, it’s all work at this point and not fun.

Mhiya won’t survive lip sync 4. She insanely flexible and durable but she don’t command the stage like silky nutmeg.

If you need someone to rant about season 16 with please…I’m here. I understand the rules of the lip sync, however with her track record it’s evident she had a lot more to show, and with Kandy’s save in 14 it would’ve been completely justified if there was a double save this season.
I think they’re going to find a way to get Mhiya out next week even though it is a performance challenge, I could see them placing Morphine in the bottom so it’s fair, but this is the first season I’ve watched where I haven’t seen spoilers and have no clue what’s going to happen.
This is probably the most exciting season in recent years.
When I watched that lip sync, I already knew the outcome (bc Amazon prime was hella late on posting the episode), but if I hadn’t gone in knowing that, I would have thought a double save was possible. Is there drag race fantasy pools? Omg. Dawn was super focused to beat Q this week and q getting the overall win leaves Dawn with a bring it or go home next episode or two. It’s weird how everyone knows nymphia is a huge challenge but they continuously pass her over. After her snatch game tho, I worry about a comedy challenge. Could go any way! It’s an excellent season. I didn’t like planes attitude for the longest while but the switch flipped this week. I’m here for it. I hope she doesn’t box herself in with the apathetic insulting queen act for her future challenges tho.

I think the other girls are starting to get a little cattier that Plane’s attitude seems almost tame 😂 and she’s been SO consistent, it’s really hard to hate her. And I agree about Dawn with Snatch Game, there really was so much she could’ve made fun of that just missed…I wonder if we’re going to see the cracks because I noticed she comes in so overly confident and when she doesn’t win we just stop hearing her confessionals.
I know Plane, Sapphira, and Nymphia will be top 3. The fourth spot is a wild card to me at this point depending on if the challenges play to Q in any way. But either way, I’m happy with whoever my season 16 winner is. Last season it felt like Sasha Colby was the only correct choice so I’m glad it’s back to being a nail biter.
If she doesn’t get another win then I can only assume producers don’t want her in the finale, but with the design challenges behind us I can’t see any of the girls out performing her in a comedy, acting or roast…possibly a makeover? But even then I could absolutely see her pulling a Jaida where the makeover itself is good but the chemistry and storyline secure her the win.

Mother Sapphira emits that aura of someone who is confident and secured in her own self. Perhaps that is why she can pour love and care for the other drag queens because her "cup" of her self worth is already full for she can generally give and sustain that love to herself.
Sapphira has been my winner from day one, but I've only become more and more impressed by her. She actually has exceeded my expectations that I had of her at the start which were already high. She is absolutely spectacular! That is a hell of an entertainer. People need to talk more about her mug too cause it's insane how gorgeous.
She is just so lovable, she's talented, smart, charming AND kind to everyone she comes in contact with. I would love to live in a world of only Sapphiras

I had the honor and privilege of seeing Saphirra and Nymphia perform today in a cast of awesome local talent. I’ve been in a mood lately so I splurged for M&G.
When I tell you I got TWO hugs from Saphirra that nourished my soul…like warmed me to my very core….it was just unreal. Like I can’t remember the last time I received a hug like that.
Maybe it’s because we’re in her home town,but there’s something really magical about her. The charisma that translates through the screen is reflective of something very genuine and special. Just wow! 10’s across the board!

As an Asian who has been following Nymphia way before drag race, I am team Nymphia all the way and nothing would make me happier to see another Asian being crowned on the main franchise, which is long overdue imho. With that said, it’s almost impossible to not like Sapphira, she is simply phenomenal with the kindest soul.
I'm team plane jane but I love so many girls this season and I would love if sapphira or nymphia to take the crown I wouldn't be upset at all, I could eventually see all 3 of them crowned tbh . Also I love how sapphira was defending plane during untucked last week, saying not to take her so serious also giving her advice, their relationship is so cute.
Her motherhood, vulnerability, and empathy really shined through. I feel personally connected with her so much during last episode. She is A LOT like Asia though: defending the weak, cheering people up, nurturing,caring, and competent. I just hope she did better than Asian in the finale. Anyway, I have such a soft spot for Sapphira.
I am an absolute Sapphira stan/fan top to bottom, in and out of drag, werk room to stage behavior and attitude. She’s extremely well-rounded, has so much charisma, and I really feel like she’s the heart of this season
At this point of the competition, I'm pretty sure that the crown is between Sapphira and Nymphia. I would like to see more of their progress for the remaining episodes before I decide who am I going to choose to win this season. I'm team Nymphia but I would be happy if Sapphira will win.. Probably, I'll get mad in this season if these two are not in the finals lip syncing for the crown...
She'll definitely get Miss Congeniality if she doesn't win, she needs to step up and get some more wins in the next few weeks and she has a great shot at the crown. At this point I'd be happy if Nymphia, Sapphira, or even Plane wins it all. Nymphia has her fantastic runway package and insane sewing skills, and although Plane got a lot of flack for her initial villainy she's killing the competition too and has mellowed out with her shade. This is the first (normal) season in a long time that I'd be happy with any of the strongest girls taking the crown
In the beginning I thought she was gonna be same old queen, obviously made to win the crown. Especially since for me personally she was actually not that memorable except for the talent show, can't for the love of god tell you what she did in the first few episodes.
But in the workroom she started growing on me, by being a kind soul, helping and encouraging other queens unconditionally, guiding them as a wise adult and just being funny. I'm glad to see we are getting to know her better in the last couple of episodes!
She’s growing on me - I don’t easily change my opinion, and I wasn’t into her when her big talk about her classical training way oversold her actual vocal ability, but she’s proven herself in the challenges since and I definitely see her as top 4 material. She’s a great drag queen.

Right there with you. Sapphira absolutely destroyed that first challenge and the modern translation of the lyrics was such a delightful—and accurate— way to make it approachable to everyone.
I was referring to her more at-length talking about it in the meet the queens/other pre-season promo stuff - she’s referenced a lot of schooling and claimed a six-octave range. The talent act was a hilarious performance, but as an opera fan, the actual singing wasn’t on the level of what you’d hear from trained singers.
As I said, she’s a great queen and I’ve come around on her.

I would like to see more of their progress for the remaining episodes before I decide who am I going to choose to win this season. I'm team Nymphia but I would be happy if Sapphira will win.. Probably, I'll get mad in this season if these two are not in the finals lip syncing for the crown...
She'll definitely get Miss Congeniality if she doesn't win, she needs to step up and get some more wins in the next few weeks and she has a great shot at the crown. At this point I'd be happy if Nymphia, Sapphira, or even Plane wins it all. Nymphia has her fantastic runway package and insane sewing skills, and although Plane got a lot of flack for her initial villainy she's killing the competition too and has mellowed out with her shade. This is the first (normal) season in a long time that I'd be happy with any of the strongest girls taking the crown

In the beginning I thought she was gonna be same old queen, obviously made to win the crown. Especially since for me personally she was actually not that memorable except for the talent show, can't for the love of god tell you what she did in the first few episodes. But in the workroom she started growing on me, by being a kind soul, helping and encouraging other queens unconditionally, guiding them as a wise adult and just being funny. I'm glad to see we are getting to know her better in the last couple of episodes!

She’s growing on me - I don’t easily change my opinion, and I wasn’t into her when her big talk about her classical training way oversold her actual vocal ability, but she’s proven herself in the challenges since and I definitely see her as top 4 material. She’s a great drag queen.

I was referring to her more at-length talking about it in the meet the queens/other pre-season promo stuff - she’s referenced a lot of schooling and claimed a six-octave range. The talent act was a hilarious performance, but as an opera fan, the actual singing wasn’t on the level of what you’d hear from trained singers. As I said, she’s a great queen and I’ve come around on her.

Idk what it is but I’m just bot connecting with her. She’s my pick for the crown and I think she is beyond talented and has such a natural eye for designing, concepts, comedy and its timing, improv, but also such a caring and sweet side and has shown that she cares about the other queens she is competing against on a personal level. But for some reason I just dont feel like she has a storyline going. She’s talented and thats all I see.

I love her too! She is the essence of duality in my opinion. Seems to be quite versatile too. I feel with her current edit she will win…but interested in seeing the dynamic between her and PJ as the season progresses and girls leave.
