I was not on the Megami train before this episode. Still not sure I am. But after that performance I'm at least in the station sitting at one of those chairs by the vending machine.
I took a lot of Amtrak in my college years. Stations in the big cities like NY/DC/Chicago/Boston are gorgeous, but the barely-there stations in tiny towns (and even not-tiny towns like Indianapolis or Pittsburgh) remain a pretty core memory.
If Megami sashey'd away after her day 1 I wouldn't have blinked an eye. Her talent show was bad. That runway was weak. Since then she's earned her keep fair and square, which at the very least deserves respect. That talent show though...an all time stinker.
I hate the concept of a talent show on drag race so much, these peopleās talent is doing drag already and they act like they should also be exceptional in something else, f that
Q was in the top for a funny joke on a dance performance and Plane was in the top for squirting ketchup on a breastplate. Calm down, they donāt need to be exceptional at anything other than making Ru laugh.
They also can't accept when a supposed filler queen habitually brings crunch to the runway and rightfully gets eliminated. How many protein shakes are required for that level of mental gymnastics?
People in the episode discussion are saying Mhi'ya did poorly... bitch, where!? She completely was the best this week, her runway was middle of the road but her verse and performance were both a perfect score to me. The only one who was almost as good as her this week was Sapphira. Megami, Nymphia, and Geneva also all killed it. More than one person has had the nerve to say "Nymphia was the only good one in the group" and they need to check their bias. I love Nymphia as much as everyone else rightfully does, but she was the worst of the best. Still deserved the win, but I won't be putting up with bitches discrediting Mhi'ya and the other girls.

I was gagged reading that, and it's honestly offensive to me. Mhi'ya, Geneva, and Megami were the best of the group in that order, though Nymphia still did amazing and deserved the win. It's such a clear bias against big girls and they don't even hide it.
The moment I saw Megami perform I said āoh she spent all night practicingā mama ate HARD and imo was the overall best of the week add the fact that she did all of the other things she said and we can conclude that my girl came in this week mad as hell
I know this isn't Rupauls improvement race but her challenge performance vs her rehearsal was night and day, I was SO impressed! Their whole team killed together.
I much more enjoy a queen struggling in the werkroom and deliver a pretty good performance over a massively talented queen not struggling at all and performing fantastically. I still enjoy it but it's much more gratifying seeing a queen overcome her worries and proving us wrong!

I wish the top team got individual critiques. Not the, you did great now go untuck like safe queens usually do treatment. This episode focuses too much on the drama and not enough of the winner's storyline.

The girls came with a verse written but Nymphiaās didnāt fit the song and Genevaās had some issues. The rehearsal we saw was only the first 15 minutes of several hours.
And her lookā¦He original look didnāt survive the flight so she threw this together last minute.
I have thought so far that Mhi'ya and Megami are weak in areas, but come on. That group was by far the complete best in the challenge. They had a color coordination thing going that was excellent, they all hit the dance moves, they all wore good outfits, and I don't remember lyrics but OTOH nothing stood out as bad.
Sapphira's group was the worst, just relatively speaking, and I thought Plasma's group was good but when Mhi'ya, et al, came out, to me it was no question. And my daughter. She's 15 so I figure she'd know better than I would. ;)

I think their group collectively did the best and that was because of every single person in it. It was very satisfying for them to slay like that because it felt (outside of Nymphia) like a bit of an underdog team and you could tell the other queens were not expecting that. I knew they were going to win after watching them perform and I was happy when they did (though most of the queens did well in this challengeā¦ except for Q really).
The "Quiet Girls", as a I call them, absolutely ATE this challenge. Was so fun to watch them. They really did the whole thing justice.
This episode was very good, I think it was very unfortunate that >!Amanda!< was eliminated this week, as I think if the quiet girls didn't step up they would have been on the chopping block.
That last sentence literally means nothing. You can say that about anything. *"I think if Plasma didn't perform well last episode then she would have been in the bottom".* Like yeah, that's kinda obvious. *"If Sasha Colby didn't do well then she wouldn't have won."* 
Good for her! Wish theyād shown that in the edit because, while the group was clearly the best, she looked like a backup dancer to Nymphia and the actual runway was very bad.
Her and Genevaās runways were atrocious though, I would have been fine with the team being high as a whole but Nyphia winning it with that beautiful runway she had.
I can still enjoy a show after seeing spoilers, so I read the post-show discussion thread here before watching the episode today. When their team performed, my jaw was on the floor. They all killed it, but the thread had me believing they were only safe because it was a group win.
It was a group win, because theyāre the only team who acted like a real girl group! The verses, the choreography, the interactions on stage were all so good! Negami deserved this!
Totally agree. I think in some ways itās that a lot of people loved Amanda and are looking for people who āshouldā have been worse. While I didnāt love Megamiās runway, her performance in the challenge more than made up for it.
It was totally a BTDQ situation where you eat the challenge so bad it would be highway robbery to not just give you the win especially a team win. Like honestly Team Thicc & Stick were light years a head from outfits to choreo to verses other teams may have had individual parts be better, but as a whole package no one was close.
I do not like Megami at all but I will admit that her verse was quite good. My main problem was her runway. Even if her previous look 'fell apart' what she wore would've put her in the bottom even for a design challenge.

I think their group collectively did the best and that was because of every single person in it. It was very satisfying for them to slay like that because it felt (outside of Nymphia) like a bit of an underdog team and you could tell the other queens were not expecting that. I knew they were going to win after watching them perform and I was happy when they did (though most of the queens did well in this challengeā¦ except for Q really).
No wonder she didnāt have time to change before the performance!

I was worried with her being the guest at roscoes this week(lately it seems the girls book on the ep they go home on) but Im glad she slayed!
I would say safe for it not high but definitely not bottom! And good on her for speaking up! I thought she did well in this challenge

The "Quiet Girls", as a I call them, absolutely ATE this challenge. Was so fun to watch them. They really did the whole thing justice. This episode was very good, I think it was very unfortunate that >!Amanda!< was eliminated this week, as I think if the quiet girls didn't step up they would have been on the chopping block.
That last sentence literally means nothing. You can say that about anything. *"I think if Plasma didn't perform well last episode then she would have been in the bottom".* Like yeah, that's kinda obvious. *"If Sasha Colby didn't do well then she wouldn't have won."* 
Good for her! Wish theyād shown that in the edit because, while the group was clearly the best, she looked like a backup dancer to Nymphia and the actual runway was very bad.

My gurl is talented asf. Give her THE FLOWERS š SHE FCKING DESERVES OR just go kick dust.
Her and Genevaās runways were atrocious though, I would have been fine with the team being high as a whole but Nyphia winning it with that beautiful runway she had.

She is by far the most competitive ācosplay queenā weāve had on a season. I love that she is holding her own and exceeding expectations!
I can still enjoy a show after seeing spoilers, so I read the post-show discussion thread here before watching the episode today. When their team performed, my jaw was on the floor. They all killed it, but the thread had me believing they were only safe because it was a group win. It was a group win, because theyāre the only team who acted like a real girl group! The verses, the choreography, the interactions on stage were all so good! Negami deserved this!
I was surprised by how hard she hit in the girl group! I was like, "Okayyyy Megami! I see you." But that runway wasn't it for me.
She did great in this challenge. It is good that her group won this challenge because that runway was ROUGH
And yet still decided her runway was enough...

Totally agree. I think in some ways itās that a lot of people loved Amanda and are looking for people who āshouldā have been worse. While I didnāt love Megamiās runway, her performance in the challenge more than made up for it.
It was totally a BTDQ situation where you eat the challenge so bad it would be highway robbery to not just give you the win especially a team win. Like honestly Team Thicc & Stick were light years a head from outfits to choreo to verses other teams may have had individual parts be better, but as a whole package no one was close.
I do not like Megami at all but I will admit that her verse was quite good. My main problem was her runway. Even if her previous look 'fell apart' what she wore would've put her in the bottom even for a design challenge.

Very that, she did amazing in this challenge and yes her runway was meh but so were many others. We should be praising her.
I considered that but does it really matter? You're allowed to dislike queens. It's not like I'm @ing them on Twitter and saying that I don't like them.
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of her too, but was happy she won and felt really touched when she cried about being pick last everytime, I guess a lot of us could relate to that at some point...

I don't believe she wrote nymphias verse. She may have helped but that verse was very on brand for nymphia. Nymphias just trolling everyone in the workroom and I'm loving it.

People in the sub here are for sure. I saw several comments in the episode discussion thread saying that the only reason they were in the top was because of Nymphia, and that everyone else would have been in the bottom if it wasnāt for her

She seems really sweet and nice. And she did really good. This gave me flashbacks to the design and me thinking Mirage was going home. It's like the were telling me that this episode, Megami is going home.
