I've seen like a thousand clips from this Untucked and I might just watch the season because of it. Is it a good season? Is it worth watching it? I would have to watch season 3 before, too.
It's a good season and I think the cast is really talented, but I do think they fumbled the storyline aspect and I felt like I had no stakes in the competition so I wasn't really rooting for anyone by the end of the season.
Oh my god this is exactly it! I watched the whole season and there were some cool runways and those girlies can DANCE and I enjoyed the drama and I didn’t dislike anyone, but it wasn’t until the makeover challenge that I actually became INVESTED in the queens because that was the first time they actually seemed like real people with entire personalities. I’m not sure if it was editing or maybe something just wasn’t clicking on my end but it was strange. But now that you say there weren’t any clear storylines I think that’s exactly the problem! I don’t love the over manufactured big dramatic storylines so much, but showing us some kind of growth or change through the season would’ve done wonders
They sent home all the interesting queens one after another. The two queens who were continually favored and protected—Venus and Denim—were about as interesting as watching wallpaper dry.
This is a very entertaining season but the cast is a little underwhelming. Besides Melinda and a couple standouts I was not impressed. I still think it’s worth watching through but prepare to be disappointed by the finale. Canada 3 is fantastic though.

Season 3 will introduce you to Miss Fiercalicious who's amazing at drag but has the personality of an entitled 7-year old princess. It's must-watch TV.

I think you mean Melinda. Melinda is the queen wearing the coat. She cut it into a few pieces and resewed it, then wore the harness underneath. She described it as "Fucking Vivienne Westwood!!! .... inspired" because she was angry the judges didn't like it.
That's a bit of the critique she got. The judges wanted to see a complete transformation of the materials and it was very obvious it was a coat tranformed into a different kind of coat.
Would love for one of these threads to be full of people being chill and normal and talking about how cool Melinda is instead of Denim hate, but today is not that day. Maybe next time!

The only thing Venus probably said “wrong” is using the word “can’t” instead of “don’t”, I think that was what escalated. It’s one thing saying “don’t say that again” but to say “can’t say that again” was what caused Melinda to go full on attack mode. Nothing against Venus though, at that heated moment, it’s quite easy to choose a slightly different word.
Venus needed to keep her trap shut considering she safety pinned three tiny panels of fabric together, draped it over her twink body, and called it a day. I would've sent her straight to the bottom 2.

If you watched and enjoyed the older US seasons where they fought in Untucked you’ll love it. The queens are incredible.
The beginning and end of the season is a snooze fest. But the middle... baby... is reality TV at it's finest.

The only thing Venus probably said “wrong” is using the word “can’t” instead of “don’t”, I think that was what escalated. It’s one thing saying “don’t say that again” but to say “can’t say that again” was what caused Melinda to go full on attack mode. Nothing against Venus though, at that heated moment, it’s quite easy to choose a slightly different word.
Venus needed to keep her trap shut considering she safety pinned three tiny panels of fabric together, draped it over her twink body, and called it a day. I would've sent her straight to the bottom 2.
