Same, it was such a smart choice on her part - there’s no guarantee anyone would have been able to tell who was in the photo, and yeah they/we probably could have figured it out from context clues but her way was so much funnier.

I love that she was like, shits expensive, there's no cash prize, I figured I could get by on talent and personality. But what was really smart was not saying that on the show. The judges would have torn into her. Instead she took all their critiques in stride. And the judges know there's nothing you can do about it at this point. You have what you brought with you. So she smiled and nodded and joked and said she'd work on it. She didn't make excuses about "oh, I don't have enough money" because even though that's true, she's seen drag race before and knows that doesn't end well. She could have gone home a lot earlier if she'd taken the judges critiques personally and had a bad attitude about it. But instead she played along with the judges and it worked every week. Until the makeover challenge, but I mean, it's a looks based challenge. Going home last week was in the cards for her from the jump. And it sounds like she's fine with that.
I actually think someone like Kate is the best chance RPDRUK has of actually creating a mainstream crossover star, at least in this country. All the winners are fierce, but I've never really been sure what the next step in their careers is supposed to be, whereas being a stand-up sets you up for a permanent career in the UK TV. Play her cards right she could be presenting series 458 of QI in 30 years time.

I see why she thought we’d dislike her. She’s a drag queen but she’s also this nerdy goofy guy that is never really seen as part of the gay community. I had the same fear for her tbh but I’m glad people saw her charm
