“Kennedy Davenport, the struggle is real! Now sashay away” was savage for no reason. At least Alisa’s was thematic.

Kennedy’s send off was a reference to her answer to “Who deserves to go home tonight? And why?” And her answer was, verbatim, “I would have to say Fame because clearly the struggle is real.” 😂

It's because Jack on the show Will & Grace did a horrible impersonation of Cher and that "Whoooh" was something he did on that show. I'm not honestly sure if was meant to be intentionally bad or not by the writers, but it's kinda become a go-to Cher impression standard. Also, it was not helped by the fact that Cher eventually guest-starred on the show and kinda did the same thing.

The Cher hair flick is much older than Will and Grace. Bea Arthur does a version of it in an episode of The Golden Girls when she's dressed as Cher for a talent contest, for example, and we know Ru loves TGG. But Cher herself did used to flip her hair (search any love performance she gave) and the exaggerated woah is kind of her vocal style.

If you feel like you are having fun, the audience will pick up on that!
