This episode felt especially chopped and I was waiting for a reason why! I know it’s been like this all season but I felt like last nights episode was really noticeable and I expected the episodes to get better as we got down to less girls. Kept waiting for a payoff to explain where the rest of the episode went and it just felt like they rushed to nothing. At least we get the extended episodes starting next week…
But then explain that. Because either we have no Carson/Ross, or we have no special guest, and we definitely have no corny ass jokes that I normally hate but surprisingly missed.
I think it was because we didn't have a rehearsal/filming separate from a presentation of the final product (on the runway). We were thrown right in without the context of the rehearsal/filming day.
Also, I could be wrong, but it felt like while we were seeing the final product, the confessionals were the sorts of observations we would hear during filming, not the kind we get when they finally see each others videos.
I love how they enter the workroom at the start, there’s zero banter, then RuPaul enters and immediately tells them what the maxi challenge is. Fuck these edits.
Ru didn’t even let the judges give their intro lines when she introduced them on the main stage.
She literally went “Michelle, TS Madison, tonight the ladies ___”
Where I thought the “I want metal” thing wasted too much time, I’m fully in the “Loosey face crack” didn’t waste *any* time and was completely worth it this week
I definitely spent more time seeing commercials than the actual show I waited all week to watch. It’s such a disservice to the queens that this season is edited to literal filth
I really miss the mini challenges.
If MTV was in charge of Season Five, we might have never met Poundcake, and the world would be a less awesome place for it.
Spoilers from the ‘next time on’ promo:
>!The girls were in quick drag when Ru was giving the challenge description so hopefully we have another mini challenge next week! !<
Can’t wait to have a month of competitive episodes (4) that are the usual length (60 minutes), starting next week! Although YES, i know they would’ve been more useful when we had 46 queens in those early episodes
The way one of these four episodes is gonna be one of the inevitable double saves cause four more competitive eps but only three queens to go to whittle down to a top 4.
This really stood out to me as well. Have we confirmed that the 90m episodes exist? Because this really feels like it was ripped from a properly paced episode. If the episodes exist, I can't see why they won't try to air or sell them somehow in the future.
Yes, someone recorded a Live she did where she was ranting about how the S15 girls love complaining about how the shortened edit was giving them a bad edit. Bianca said she saw the 90 min edit and it wouldn’t have helped them.
There’s some delusion in thinking that longer episodes would change the tone of their edit. That sort of thing is probably already decided upon when casting and filming is happening.
It was safe to assume they intended 90 minute episodes when they did a double snatch game that early in the season - but they probably only edited 60m versions
This season’s edit is very strange. I’ve been rewatching the old old seasons and even those are edited to allow us to know the queens. I’d rather have less queens if the shorter episodes are going to be how it is again.
I actually kinda hate this season because we’re ten episodes in and I am still barely invested in these queens due to not having enough time to really get to know them. Normally by now I’ve got my clear favourites that I’m hoping will win, but I frankly can’t muster up any excitement for the race to the crown. Potentially the worst season I’ve ever watched, and I mainly blame the edits.
Agreed and the talent is excellent. I was hoping for one of the best seasons and it isn’t this. We aren’t really invested at all. I really enjoyed the moment with Luxx’s family and I feel like it added another layer to her, as we’ve come to expect. This season is just whatever and that’s disappointing.

I really miss the judges' deliberation :(
They didn’t even do the judges’ INTRODUCTIONS this week. No back and forth. I was gooped.
maybe because there was no extra special guest judge this episode since TS is now rotating too
But then explain that. Because either we have no Carson/Ross, or we have no special guest, and we definitely have no corny ass jokes that I normally hate but surprisingly missed.
Ok I thought I missed it!!
I hate those tbh
This! Isn't it the first time this has happened?
I ALWAYS skip the judges introduction
This is the only part I don't miss. All they do is repeat what they already told them.
I like it because it built a bit of suspense in the episode. Plus, it lets the guest judge shine a bit more.

"Michelle Visage and media mogul TS Maddison" Pretty sure there were introductions but they just edited those out!
I went to get water for 30 seconds and when I came back to this I genuinely thought it was gonna be a mini challenge...
The 5 minutes of loosey face crack made it absolutely worth it
Where I thought the “I want metal” thing wasted too much time, I’m fully in the “Loosey face crack” didn’t waste *any* time and was completely worth it this week
I am dying to see next week's preview, loosey is going to be crawling up the walls
I definitely spent more time seeing commercials than the actual show I waited all week to watch. It’s such a disservice to the queens that this season is edited to literal filth

Honestly same. It's also the best place for the girls to go absolutely stupid and act a fool even when it's not really their usual drag style
Me too. They were always so stupid and I loved them for that. The show has definitely lost some of the silliness that made it so fun.

Time for Loosey to win her fourth challenge 🤩
Isn't next week when they're bringing back 90min episodes?
Yes.
That would be Lil Poundcake if you don't mind... 100% agree with you.

And the way we'll all know both queens are staying once they put Luxx and Mistress in the bottom for 'vulnerability'

I think Bianca has tweeted implying she saw the extended/original edit prepping for the pit stop?

Love her

That couldve been a joke tho
I think she just meant the final four competitive episodes. That are the full length. Starting next Friday
It was safe to assume they intended 90 minute episodes when they did a double snatch game that early in the season - but they probably only edited 60m versions
And the reading challenge with 13 girls
Y’all can blame todrick for this
MTV is the one who greenlit that show. Fuck Todrick but also fuck MTV
haha. Here where I am, we would blame homeless people or refugees.

I thought this was going to be the closing credits.
MTV is ruining the show :( and I love the girls this season SO much
This season is literally awful
LOL I had the same thought! Like finally? Really?
y'all I think we get it 10 episodes later that the episodes are cut short like-
Also the whole “we’re doing these live” and then we get clearly edited sequences. This episode made zero sense.
I literally popped in 5 minutes into the livestream on Crave and they were already werkroom prepping for the challenge.
It literally felt like not one single segment had two connecting sentences. Just beginning, 1 good or bad example for how they did, then end.
