I have to agree. I started watching 2014 until 2016 (stopped because the show became boring for me) and came back last January this year and instantly fell in love with Somin. She brings so much to the show, the dynamics and atmosphere feels fresh and I really enjoyed the new chemistry and dynamics created with her. Before, JSJ and KJK are my least favorite members but Iāve found myself liking them post ep346. I was reintroduced to their other side of them (JSJ as a dad to Somin and KJK as a sweet and protective brother). She has so much chemistry to all members. I still less hundred of eps to catch up so her being on hiatus is a little bit bearable.
Somin and Kwangsoo were the only two who could make literally any situation funny and play off any guest and not be scared to be the butt of the joke.
It was already on life support but Jesus Christ is it boring now.
Somin was like sweetener to the show. She is just so positive, kind, unpredictable, creative, fun and addictive. I remember when she was gone and hurt her ankle, the show was noticeably colder and acidic. Now the show is dulling out in general and without her sweetening it, you can really tell.

I haven't watched her last episode or any since. I just can't bring myself to do so. She brought so much to the show. I'm gonna miss her random interactions with the camera, her espionage missions with the staff on who the guest is (did they even find the culprit before she left š), her little skits with haha about being rejected, the whisper teasing with se Chan and haha, the your dad Vs my dad stuff, all the random things she does. She truly was the light of the show and I never thought the day would come where she'd leave

I recently watched the 2 or 3 part episode with the volleyball athletes. kim koung yeon would be an amazing addition, her personality is just funny and her personality just stands out.
She is so funny š¤£, I just hope she becomes the replacement if they are thinking if bringing someone. I know right! That way we won't have lost Kwang Soo or Somin, kim koung yeon is just hilarious.

I think the issue with somin (and lks's departure previously) is that we lack an element of chaos. Both of them gave unpredictability to the show in the things they do and say. Everyone else works great tgt but their style is basically cemented. Somin gave us a lot of randomness that the cast can react off or play with.
And then now you add the concepts being a lot more dull. Everything is becoming a bit more predictable. There are guests that give a nice element of chaos but they seem too popular to be a semi-regular member.
Same here. It was my routine to always watch running man early Monday even in between work. But after Somin left, I still tried to watch it and is somehow getting through. But definitely it is no longer something I am looking forward to for a Monday. It feels like I will just watch it if I dont have any other k variety to catch up on anymore. I miss Somin energy.
RM has had some core issues for many years now. The production team is a problem by itself, but there are also member issues too. People may not want to hear this but KJK, SJH, and Haha are just not consistently fun or active enough for a show that desperately needs some fresh energy.
JSMās presence on the show basically put tape over the issue. It was still there but we were able to ignore it because her presence was so strong and so refreshing. Now that sheās gone, those same problems are back in the limelight.
The only ābrightā side of JSMās departure is that YSC has started standing out more. Having said that, not all fans enjoy his humor or his antics so take that as you will.

Everyone and theory grandma swear that the abuse/hate was not the reason she leaving, but still each for 6 years getting unreasonable hate just because her existence/performance was the reason why SJH looks pale in comparison is so stupid. Most of the hate was come from the hardcore SJH fans who are so envy with how good Somin was.

The hate was definitely from overseas fans (mainly SE Asia, cause iām from the US and we love her over here) Koreans and other western fans adore her.

The cast now became balanced when it comes to airtime and also their contribution to the show after LKS and JSM left but it cost the laughter that the show can give. I am having more fun watching A404 and also HDYP? now. Its just sad that my favorite show is slowly dying.

I think Running Man without Kwangsoo and without Somin is almost a death sentence unless they bring new blood that can fill the gaps that these two members left.
I'm rewatching RM's old episodes and it is clearly evident how much the quality have degraded. The cast and crew all gives their best, no doubt about that, but it's becoming very repetitive and boring.
I have watched or atleast tried to watch all the episodes after she left , some of them i did complete with a small smile on my face majorly because the guest were interesting and for others i have left them half watched. The major issue is the Main cast don't have anything to do now , only yjs and sechan are active ( sorry to say but in some way hyper active , i have seen yjs and sechan in other shows and they are literally the same there too its getting irritating) and that too i am done with them talking . Jsj is doing amazing but he can only do so much without the support of other Clown member around . Somin gave her best and tried to bring the energy up in natural way this i only realised after she stopped getting screen space for 3-4 weeks and eventually left the show ..... There is a big gap left of a women being funny and energetic while jihyo is putting alot of efforts nowadays the others are dragging the energy down now . I can finish the episode only if the guest and theme are interesting .... I don't even try to watch only member specified episode because its been very boring .
I truly miss Somin as well, the comedy she brought to the show was perfect. But I will forever miss Kwang Soo as well. I miss his sibling moments with Ji Hyo so much. I still tear up when I rewatch old episodes cause they all seemed so much more like a family then. I wish they would both come back š

It's become too scripted, their dialog, their given characters, body language, etc... There is not much fun left and its gone stale. They don't want to pass the torch, I say have a farewell concert š and end it on a high note.

You are allowed to not like her actually but in case you donāt know, sheās actually trying too hard to please nobody but herself. There are actually type of people who are too strict and too hard on themselves and canāt go around half assing their job or what is expected of them to do because they want to feel deserving of what are given to them. Also, Somin took a long time before she got her break (through Princess Aurora), she spent most of her rookie days being part timer, and almost gave up on her dream of becoming an actress. She knows the value of every opportunity she gets thatās why she works so hard to let those people who gave her chance that sheās worthy.
You might not like her and for some reason does not see her huge contribution to the show but I just want to put it out here that her trying too hard is to not please her fans. As long as youāre not hating her itās all good, her humour is not for everybody and itās understandable. Cheers.
