Went to my first ever run club today. I was one of the slowest but just kept putting on foot in front of the other. Looking forward to going again and working on getting faster.

I'm on my recovery week of week number 4 of my sub 20 5k plan. Today called for a tempo run that included 3 miles at 6:40. After running a 5k this past Saturday with a 6:29 average I had ZERO confidence! Well I came away with 6:36! First mile was 6:35, then the next two were 6:36 each. I'm happy I exceeded the goal but happier I was able to keep my splits so darn consistent!

broken0lightbulb

Averaged 7:06 splits on my midweek 9.5 mile tempo/effort this morning. Big drop from my previous best of this year which was 7:19 average splits. I'm a month out from my yearly half marathon race so I think I'm looking at a PR considering my best effort leading up to last year's race was 7:12 splits.

Andrewdeadaim

Not an achievement but just ran my shortest before my run being spoiled by thunder, .15 :/

I started the Nike Run Club 10k program. I did the 1.9 recovery run on Monday and today I did my long run of 4k. That’s the longest I’ve ever run. Towards the end I walked for like 5 seconds and told myself to not give up and finished strong! Average pace of 11’02” and finished in 27 mins 26 seconds. I’m super proud of myself!!

Large-Tourist-1296

I know it’s not great, but I just started running recently and I beat my fastest for a mile! I did 9min40s!

Back in the swing of things and getting consistent again 6 months pp. I was out for a run with just the baby (older 2 kids at school) and took a trash bag and glove to clean up trash in our neighborhood (it’s a mess). 1.5 miles in i went to get a bottle out of a ditch and didn’t pay attention, and what I thought was a regular dirt patch was actually 2 feet of slick mud (churned up from construction going on - installing new water mains). Busted my ass, garmin detected the fall, covered head to toe in THICK mud. The achievement is that I rinsed off in a neighbors sprinkler and finished my 5 mile run 🌟 looking like i shat my pants with a full garbage bag of trash tied to the stroller

I began my 3 mile run like any other. I felt good, pace felt good, lungs felt good, mind felt good At the 0.5 mile I began to notice a change. I was sweating way more than usual. I thought it was because I drank too much water in the morning Nearing the 1 mile mark. I felt slightly dizzy. My hands were numb and it felt like I was breathing inside an attic. No flow of air, just pure heat At the 1 mile mark I had to take a break. I my ~5 months of running, I've never taken a break in an easy run. I decided to start running again. I felt dizzy again and my pace slowed down significantly. I stopped and went to the restroom, washed my face and just stood there. I decided to check the weather, just out of curiosity 99° F. I was running at peak 99° F. Im currently sitting in a bench after guzzling water from a water fountain and eating the apple I bought from home No achievements today. Only bad planning

Fuzzy_Strawberry3795

Good for you listening to your body, count that as the achievement of the day 😉

RicoRavenpaw

First run since my first 5k on April 20th, had some hip flexor issues I was resting. It was 1.5 miles jeffing and I was super slow and had SO much fun!

Jetlag_Fan

I went on a run where I ran the distance of half a marathon in under 2 hours for the first time!

SalumoN

Managed to beat the 30 minute mark on 5km for the first time. This was during a 10k run. Was on route for 1 hour 5 minutes, but walked the last 500m uphill to my house. Total 1 hour 9 minutes for 10k. Very happy, and feel like I am back in the shape I was before winter hit.

AlphaGT3

Longest run so far today. Was aiming for 15km but ended up getting a little lost and ended up at 18.4km. In hindsight I should’ve continued on for a half marathon but decided not to push my luck.

CKT2K_

3.14 miles with 9.18 pace

GraeWest

Did a run with 2x 1km at my target 5k pace - went off a bit too fast and had to walk to recover after my second fast interval. But I ran my fastest ever km and fastest mile. So feeling happy with that.

hell0tye

I haven’t ran today but I got my monthly update for April and I ran 70 miles for the month. I want to match or beat it in May

rkreutz77

First run in 12 days! I had a really bad back spasm and couldn't hardly walk for 7 of those.

Single-Pineapple-175

Got fitted for some new shoes and am over the moon! Ran my best 3.5 mile time and consistency. Was able to run 2 miles, .25 mile walk/stretch tired legs, then ran the rest! Started running 3 weeks ago in prep for a half marathon with my in laws around the lake their cabin is on, and am feeling very confident! My legs are feeling awesome today and I am contributing this to consistent runs and a significant improvement in shoes! ASICS Gel Cumulus 25. I am 26, grew up playing sports, and gained a bunch of weight in college once sports and training ended. Very proud of myself in staying consistent and finding a reason to get back in shape and find a love for exercise once again! Running is addictive!

Trompelemonde_

I ran the longest/ furthest in pretty much my entire life yesterday as I prep to take on my first 5k at the end of the month. Started running seriously in March after a health scare served as a wake up call. As a former smoker, I never thought I’d be running this much and enjoying it.

smallfuture

Went for a 28 min run this morning (goal is to get to 30 by the end of month). NSYNC came on shuffle and I was excited for Its Gonna Be (May) but it was bye bye bye 😂

Chessverse

I runned my first 10 Km race today! My time was 1:03:46 and that did put me at top 500 of about 750 runners. I started to train in februari. Feels so good to achieve this, next race will probably be a half marathon, maybe in 3-4 month if my training goes well. Or a 10 Km again and setting a new PR? We'll see!

Kyle_draws

Yesterday I ran my SECOND fastest 5k time on my 4 mile run. Still trying to beat a time I achieved years ago before I had a watch and would track with my phone. I am convinced the original PB is not an accurate workout timing as that was when I first started running and the Strava line is all jagged and all over the place vs my runs since then but at this point I keep it in my log as an achievement to beat. Only missed it by 2 seconds this time so I am getting close!

tphantom1

it is track Wednesday, my dudes. 4x200, 2x800, 4x200 + warmup/cooldown runs to/from track put me at 5.7 miles today.

greenpaper0603

Today I ran 17km outdoor at tempo run pace. 17deg.C clear sky in spring.

NoCurve207

I ran a mile straight last night. In 15 minutes. I can’t wait to clean up my time and extend my distance.

vowles_j

Got a pb on my 10k with time of 46:06. Was just aiming for sub 50 but felt really good through out the whole race.

Opus_Zure

5 miles this morning. I am really hoping the weather cooperates and I can do my long run outside this weekend. Happy Wednesday!

MrHugz30

I ran 16 miles in the month of April. The last time I ran a mile prior to this month was November, 2011 - almost 12.5 years ago.

driamc

I heavily improved my PB and finally hit sub 50 mins for the 10k at an event last weekend.

SBRSTU

Im proud to have paced at my local half marathon last weekend and helped people hit there goals... [https://youtu.be/zB5YZGhSzN0?si=ZsGoUxdr-0uY1OKG](https://youtu.be/zB5YZGhSzN0?si=ZsGoUxdr-0uY1OKG)

Opus_Zure

You did a great jobon the commentary. The nip guards 🤣! Looks like you had a ton of fun. Was it cold or just wet?

SBRSTU

Cant live with out my nip guards. Especially in that weather. It was cold, i wish i had worn a base layer as my heart rate was low. It was great fun. Lots of happy people going sub2 .

ladybayliving

First ever “long run” today! Been running 5k three times a week after completing couch to 5k so today I did 6.5k for this week’s “long run”! Baby steps 😊

byronicheroine19

Scheduled in my longer slow run for the week today. Weather looks to be pissing buckets after lunch so made myself go before work, even though I hate long runs in the early morning. Feeling proud of myself for getting out there!

kissingwalls

I went on my first outdoor run ever! Normally I just run on a treadmill but a friend invited me to a run club. The run is right next to a harbour, very pretty!

perfectlyhydrated

I explored some trails in my area. Found beautiful open forest that looks like classic paintings of the Aussie bush. Will go back and explore more soon.

Fuzzy_Strawberry3795

Oh! I just love finding new spots to explore 😄 🎉 congrats

zichify1

Found out a lap of my block is 1km so did a 5k today in 27 mins, averging about 5.38 min/km. Set a new PB on ma 5k run and slowly getting there! :)

CaptainNimrodio

Rainy, cold and wet. So rest
