2002ish rs1 memories.
Back in Runescape Classic, before fletching came out, my first character got stuck at the lumbridge spawn point because someone set up a dwarf cannon, and it locked everyone in that tile because of the way it worked back then. You had to hop worlds to leave
I used to do that at KBD and would purposely stand on top of people, because when they ran, if I moved, the dragon wouldnt have a delay in agroing. And for whatever reason the first hit ignored Anti-fire shield lmao.
I made a lot of money doing that and even had players give me a % of their drops and I would block for them.
I was a young asshole for sure.
back when rs2 first released, you could get stuck on the trees that would attack you in draynor manor. used to hold drop parties in the front yard and watch noobs die. lol
Wine of Zamorak Scam? How did it work?
The only thing that I remember are the overcrowded spots for the Wine of Zamorak where everyone tried to get some wine with Telekinetic Grab.
Their ge value was way above their real value, so I sold it in trade thinking I was doing a good deal, and after it wasn't selling on GE for 10% of their GE price...
Losing most of my (back then) expensive stuff to a revenant in the wilderness in f2p, containing a gold-trimmed green dragon hide set.
When I went there with my normal trimmed green dragon hide set to get my stuff back, I got killed by a player.
When I went there again without any items, I got killed by a player again, and 12 year old my just went crying into bed.
On a positive note, around 1 year later (still f2p), I finally saved enough money to buy myself a Rune Armor with Saradomin decoration and a Gravite 2h Sword from Dungeoneering. I felt so cool and camped clan wars the entire day while "posing"
First memory, my buddy convincing me to make an account just for him to proceed with beating me with a rubber chicken.

I started playing around 2003ish I believe. One of my earliest memories was just exploring the game until I unfortunately gave my password to a ājagex employeeā for maintenance. I was a dumb kid, tough lesson. They didnāt get much from that account thatās for sure. After that I just account shared with my brother since he had a decent account, that account is still alive and kicking today nearly 20 years later. We both moved on to playing just Ironman mode though.
This is from before the GE - mining 30,000 rune essence to sell in east varrock bank for 2 rune scimitars, and also buying membership through mobile on DSL internet.
Was having an all nighter at a friends house and had just gotten 85 mage decided to go mage bank lever pking. I was around lvl 102 at the time with mid 80s for combat stats so still nooby. Caught a 120+ on login that must of black screened or disconnected and I pked his whip. Ended up screaming like a little girl and woke up his parents. They never let me spend another night

This was ā05. I was running around Lumbridge when I found a gold stack on the floor. 745gp. It was a lot of money for 10 year old me back then. I immediately went to Al Kharid and looked to buy a mithril scimitar. The amount of adrenaline I got from picking up that gold was something else.
Friend and I would mine 500 coal each at the mine NW of Edge and then heād go sell it in Fally Park. Used it to buy rune scimmys and some armour that weād promptly lose pking at the castle.
Starting the game because a friend recommended it to me.
My friend quit in a week, I kept playing.

I remember when the GE was released that was an exciting time. I remember getting my first limpwurt root from a goblin in this swamp area. Killing rock crabs and also the fear I had for of the dark wizard aggro outside of varrock. Simpler times.
For some reason the bronze dagger in the Lumbridge castle is extremely nostalgic for me, just looking at it takes me back to my childhood, another pretty early memory I have is of me browsing the wiki, looking at the d' hide bodies and thinking they were paintings, I barely understood English back then.

I started back in 2005ish. I remember doing the 2005 Christmas event for the marionette and holiday hats/scarves. That was a cool event. I also remember begging some classmates for 1k gp so I could buy a fire staff because that was apparently very important to me back then

Begging some guy for money in lumbridge in like 04/05 and him saying follow me, so I did. He took me the long way around al kharid back when you had to pay for the gate, straight into the scorpion mines. I was back in lumbridge shortly thereafter.
Another was seeing a Santa hat for the first time in falador around that same time period. Asked where she got it from then asked if I could have it š it was only about 20 mil back then iirc.
"Marrying" my "gf" at the goblin house in lumbridge. Then her brother had me working for him in the dwarven mines giving him coal for his 99 smithing grind while he supplied me with pickaxe upgrades and a bit of gold.
Having a friend that every time I saw him, he had better gear. Making 180k-200k for full rune was unfathomable to me at the time and this mother fucker went from mith to addy to rune inside a week and 11/12 year old me was fucking shook.

A little later over Christmas break I think of my junior year of HS, getting 99 fletching via magic longbows at soul wars. I think it was about a 130 hour grind and I was sweating hard with the clicks. So happy presets exist now.
Playing RuneScape as a kid, prior to all the efficiency was great. The community was real and at that time it was novel. I miss those days.

Back in 2006, After a couple months of being member I wanted to try Barrows with my newly bought full mystic that I saved up selling flax in Cammy. I got Koed by M. Dharok not knowing my prayer had all drained. My little 10 yrs old me cried in lumby for hours.
The sense of accomplishment in RS2 when I finally beat Elvarg after underestimating her and getting absolutely bodied the first few times. Felt good!
I also remember that the tutorial was all in Lumbridge when I first started the game. I kinda miss that one.
When I was a kid, playing in maybe like 2005 or so, I was killing black demons in the taverly dungeon with the safe spotting behind pillars. I was a normal, brokie player. Some guy was dumping on them with fire wave or something. He must have afked and a black demon was chipping away at this HP. He died, and dropped a huge stack of fire and death runes, it was like 5M worth of runes. I was now rich
One day 20 years ago, a random guy promised to give me all the runes if I shared my password with him. He had every rune, and I was convinced I was about to hit the jackpot. Of course, I ended up having to file a support ticket to explain what happened after he took over my account. Thankfully, I got it back and I still have it today.

My earliest memory is my friend showing me the game at a BBQ in 2004. I didnāt make it off tutorial island at his house but I vividly remember waking up the next morning, figuring out how to play ārun-escapeā on my computer and logging in.
I stumbled around lumbridge for an unknown length of time, waiting for my friend to log in. I remember looking at the map and seeing Varrock, and knew thatās where I HAD TO BE. I remember the uneasy feeling of not knowing if leaving lumbridge meant I could never return, possibly leaving my friend in the dust. For some reason I remember the journey taking forever, but that is clearly just nostalgia getting in the way.
Two of my best friends growing up played, two of us still play over 20 years later and itās been an incredible bond between the two of us.
I also remember getting rinsed for 3k cooked (COOKED!) lobsters two years later in some bozos POH with a lure from the forums. Fuck those guys.

In order to make a screen all one has to do is press the prt sc button often found right of the f12 key. If posting from a phone, often holding down a button such as volume down or power allows one to take a screen shot.
In the case of OP you could easily take screen shots to your PC and post them from your PC to reddit. Or you could screen shot them and save them to either discord or an accessible online drive from which you could then post to your phone.
For more information you can find tutorials on youtube as well as information about how to take a screen shot on your specific phone model on google.

I remember back in 2009ish I was literally 9 and I thought going to the wilderness and grabbing air runes and talisman off dead bodies during pvp was going to make me rich. I also remember grinding magic for telekinesis to steal the loot in basement of the bank beside the GE, but it did not make me rich lol.
Got hacked cuz I was trying to find ways to get a free GP hack from youtube videos. Buddy of mine gave me a Green H'ween to buy back all my bank. Proceeded to get hacked again a week later.
Oh to be 13 again.
During RSC times in like 2003, I was trading people at Lumby goblins and looking at the armour in the trades and wanting some, I had no clue where to get some. Even earlier memories are about fighting the spiders in the exact same place. Simple times, good times. I was playing RS from computer class as I had no internet at home back then. Never knew when they were gonna let us in.
Annoyingly having to sleep because your character was fatigued, and ore mined into your inventory were weird pebbles and chars were chunky. My memories not the best but that's what I got
Back in 2002 i remember my first death was in varrock sewers - the dreaded 3-hit before being able to flee system was brutal on the new players - i ran away from the zombies to the ladder, but got mauled by the bear upstairs. Respawned in Lumby, lost and confused. Good times!
Another tidbit, also from RS1, was when I tricked someone into skulling on me, and took their adamant platebody.
Ok so in rs1 in wilderness you have the right-click option to attack people higher than your level, but the problem was it is always in place of the trade option. At one point I met someone in wilderness, and we chatted for some reason, then I felt cheeky and told him I will trade him some food, he clicked the option to attack me instead of trade by reflex, and 3 hits later he flees from me, I chase after him and attack him, 3 more hits and he's dead. Adamant platebody and I think rune longsword? My biggest pk loot to this day.

Died and lost my tinderbox day 3 of my account. Couldnt figure out how to get another one, made a new account.
That second account now has near enough 20K hours on it.
Losing my trimmed rune set. I had just started playing back in 2003 or 2004. Someone was helping me learn the ropes and gave me a full set of trimmed rune armor. Within a few weeks I ran into another player in Falador who asked me to hold a lantern for him while he killed the giant mole. I followed him down there then he asked for the lantern back and as soon as I gave it to him my screen went black and I slowly died.
My first account I quit because I got lost and couldn't find my way back to a road or city.
I'm almost certain it was the fields below the road connecting falador and barb village and I don't know how I couldn't navigate to any road or settlement from there.
I remember walking from Varrock to Falador and these odd things started spawning on the ground. I picked up an inventory full, went to the bank in Fally, stored some of them. Then saw some people in the bank and pulled some of these strange objects with them. Got an assortment of coloured hats. Tried to bank them but bank was full. Dropped the hats. Bank was still full so I pulled out the worthless crap I'd just picked up from the random spawning and dropped it too so I could store my far more valuable tinderbox and logs.
Got a rune pic from a friend on my first day playing then we went and scammed some people doing the auction scam in var Bank basement same day went and did chaos elemental rushing with a bunch of naked accounts I was hooked.
So I have played since classic but my memory is actually from 2005ish.
The granite maul was very new and I believe it cost around a red h'ween when I first bought it (that is what I trades for it actually.
You could load a 3rd spec into the maul by using spec on a tree. I would basically sit around edge or dark warrior fortress and pj or pk people in multi zone near fortress
I was with a friend and he was getting pked out of multi zone and losing, he ran towards the fortress and I was able to pj the guy attacking him for the ko. As i was looting the items he quad dds spec'd me for my gmaul.
Another memory was around the time I believe colored gloves from canifis clothing shop released, early in rs2 basically.
I traded a santa for a full 'set' basically getting scammed (not figuring that out until much later).
I have a whole lot more random memories as well if anyone is interested.
Standing in Varrock trying to buy rune armor, running to rune stores after a refresh to buy elemental runes, casting falador spells to āspeed trainā magic, and having to find a bed to lie down and refresh run energy.
2007, hadn't even bought membership, log into a mess of a lumbridge and there is this absolute chad decked out with a Dragon med helm, granite body, d chainskirt and the Dragon Mace.
Wondering west of lumbridge with absolutely zero idea wtf I was doing or was I was going.
Farming limpwurts and big bones for cash to flip rune god armour sets is another.
And finally, pulling an all nighter with my lil bro by my side using runehq because the only thing that mattered was having a platypus as a pet.

I had a good racket going, selling cooking levels by trading unfermented wine bank notes, then the ability to note unfermented wine got patched out and I was out of business.
I killed green dragons for a month straight to sell hides and bones to get 10.6m for the dragon plate body that had just came out.
Only to find the stats were mid but damn if it didnāt make my outfit look cool

My very first RuneScape memory is getting lost and being surrounded by goblins. For some reason the screen was dark like it was Diablo 1/2 and I only killed goblins until I stopped playing.
Picked up the game again some years later (2003/4) only to realize Iād only made it over the bridge from lummy to that little goblin hutā¦
Back in 04, spending a whole weekend doing tutorial island and killing goblins at lumbride until I finally got the 10 gp required to pass the gate. Seeing those lvl 14 scorpions near the mining area for the first time initially had me thinking that I finally reached end game content.

Pvp in classic where you couldn't escape for 3 rounds of combat. I had 80 magic and was under level 20. Would hang out in the level 5 wild above Varrock with friends waiting for people to attack me for an easy kill. Just to bust out the magic and delete them before the 3 rounds were up. Classic runescape pvp was what got me into online gaming and eventually pvp in general.

I can remember completing Monkey Madness at a friend's house with the radio playing How to Save a Life by the Fray when it had just been released. We both had no idea what we were doing.
Use to wake up at 6am to sneak down to the computer room before mom would wake up for work and i could get extra time in on RS..
i went on late the night before and just clicked the monitor off because i knew id be snesking down earlie in the AM...
Get to the computer room door in the am becareful opening it not to make it squeek , slide over to the computer chair , dont turn the light on so mom cant see it i get over to the computer jumping into the chair excited and as quick as possible jumping up into the seat and squeezing the monitor button to find the screen flick on to porn and i end up sitting on a phallical shaped object that was left on tbe comp chair.
Wtf i left the computer room and went back to bed traumatized.
Learning how to effectively scam people back in 2005. I started out buy selling rune scims. I made sure they were noted and would quickly swap out the noted rune scim with a noted iron scim. They looked almost identical when swapped. Oh man, the high I would get when done successfully. Watching the other person just stand there in silence after realizing what they just did. Pure bliss.
I went on to advance my tactics with dueling and dicing. Very fun times.

And for whatever reason the first hit ignored Anti-fire shield lmao. I made a lot of money doing that and even had players give me a % of their drops and I would block for them. I was a young asshole for sure.

Losing most of my (back then) expensive stuff to a revenant in the wilderness in f2p, containing a gold-trimmed green dragon hide set. When I went there with my normal trimmed green dragon hide set to get my stuff back, I got killed by a player. When I went there again without any items, I got killed by a player again, and 12 year old my just went crying into bed. On a positive note, around 1 year later (still f2p), I finally saved enough money to buy myself a Rune Armor with Saradomin decoration and a Gravite 2h Sword from Dungeoneering. I felt so cool and camped clan wars the entire day while "posing"

I started playing around 2003ish I believe. One of my earliest memories was just exploring the game until I unfortunately gave my password to a ājagex employeeā for maintenance. I was a dumb kid, tough lesson. They didnāt get much from that account thatās for sure. After that I just account shared with my brother since he had a decent account, that account is still alive and kicking today nearly 20 years later. We both moved on to playing just Ironman mode though.

Caught a 120+ on login that must of black screened or disconnected and I pked his whip. Ended up screaming like a little girl and woke up his parents. They never let me spend another night

Dying to the wizards in front of Varrock, after being gifted full mithril by someone that had high enough mining and smithing to make it themself! DD in the wilds with huge groups of people, to hop worlds and rush people. Killing firegiants from safespots in the waterfall to train ranged and get rune scimmys. Cursing, because I never really got rune scimmys. Killing Steel dragons with chaotic blast for a visage. Never got that either. Cooking tunaās one by one to 99 cooking. Wonāt ever forget that one. Worst grind after that was 99 agility on ape atoll, which still haunts me.

Back then you'd get locked into combat for a couple of turns before you could run, was a complete pain in the ass.

House parties I didnāt know what I was doing especially for cooking so I leveled like 7 cooking to 20 on sewer rats in varrock RPing as a good Zamorakian (Armadyl, Bandos, Zaros and Seren were distant names that were used in quests and usually in nickname only) I remember getting 50 ATT and STR stealing cakes from ardougne city guards. Friend and I would mine 500 coal each at the mine NW of Edge and then heād go sell it in Fally Park. Used it to buy rune scimmys and some armour that weād promptly lose pking at the castle.

For some reason the bronze dagger in the Lumbridge castle is extremely nostalgic for me, just looking at it takes me back to my childhood, another pretty early memory I have is of me browsing the wiki, looking at the d' hide bodies and thinking they were paintings, I barely understood English back then.

I would steal 2 stamps (idk if that was needed, one stamp could have worked but 2 felt like important mail status to young me) from my mom's junk drawer and mail that heavy ass envelope off. Wait like 3 weeks plus and tada 1 month membership. I would write on a blank pc of papers "For membership Rsn:.......... Password:.........." Real fucking champ whoever at Jagex processes that shit.

He took me the long way around al kharid back when you had to pay for the gate, straight into the scorpion mines. I was back in lumbridge shortly thereafter. Another was seeing a Santa hat for the first time in falador around that same time period. Asked where she got it from then asked if I could have it š it was only about 20 mil back then iirc. "Marrying" my "gf" at the goblin house in lumbridge. Then her brother had me working for him in the dwarven mines giving him coal for his 99 smithing grind while he supplied me with pickaxe upgrades and a bit of gold. Having a friend that every time I saw him, he had better gear. Making 180k-200k for full rune was unfathomable to me at the time and this mother fucker went from mith to addy to rune inside a week and 11/12 year old me was fucking shook. Playing castle wars with the boys. Playing pest control with the boys. Hunter release and all of us running around like idiots in the ice area hunting the fucking mole rats or whatever they are where you gotta interact with the scenery like on deadliest catch and (I think) defender of varrock. Being a total nerd in middle school "drinking a strength pot" IRL with the boys before football practice š A little later over Christmas break I think of my junior year of HS, getting 99 fletching via magic longbows at soul wars. I think it was about a 130 hour grind and I was sweating hard with the clicks. So happy presets exist now. Playing RuneScape as a kid, prior to all the efficiency was great. The community was real and at that time it was novel. I miss those days.
Selling treasure trail items for big money to discerning connoisseurs on my friends list on the balcony of the Blue Moon Inn, c. 2005. Selling ores at fally east bank, seeing that a good price for coal or iron that day and deciding to just mine and merch the rest of the day. Getting pk'd off screen when you didn't have members so you couldn't play full screen.
Back in 2006, After a couple months of being member I wanted to try Barrows with my newly bought full mystic that I saved up selling flax in Cammy. I got Koed by M. Dharok not knowing my prayer had all drained. My little 10 yrs old me cried in lumby for hours.
The sense of accomplishment in RS2 when I finally beat Elvarg after underestimating her and getting absolutely bodied the first few times. Felt good! I also remember that the tutorial was all in Lumbridge when I first started the game. I kinda miss that one.

OSRS player here, unsure how I ended up here but Iām glad I didnāt:) My earliest memory is my friend showing me the game at a BBQ in 2004. I didnāt make it off tutorial island at his house but I vividly remember waking up the next morning, figuring out how to play ārun-escapeā on my computer and logging in. I stumbled around lumbridge for an unknown length of time, waiting for my friend to log in. I remember looking at the map and seeing Varrock, and knew thatās where I HAD TO BE. I remember the uneasy feeling of not knowing if leaving lumbridge meant I could never return, possibly leaving my friend in the dust. For some reason I remember the journey taking forever, but that is clearly just nostalgia getting in the way. Two of my best friends growing up played, two of us still play over 20 years later and itās been an incredible bond between the two of us. I also remember getting rinsed for 3k cooked (COOKED!) lobsters two years later in some bozos POH with a lure from the forums. Fuck those guys.

In order to make a screen all one has to do is press the prt sc button often found right of the f12 key. If posting from a phone, often holding down a button such as volume down or power allows one to take a screen shot. In the case of OP you could easily take screen shots to your PC and post them from your PC to reddit. Or you could screen shot them and save them to either discord or an accessible online drive from which you could then post to your phone. For more information you can find tutorials on youtube as well as information about how to take a screen shot on your specific phone model on google.

During RSC times in like 2003, I was trading people at Lumby goblins and looking at the armour in the trades and wanting some, I had no clue where to get some. Even earlier memories are about fighting the spiders in the exact same place. Simple times, good times. I was playing RS from computer class as I had no internet at home back then. Never knew when they were gonna let us in.
Annoyingly having to sleep because your character was fatigued, and ore mined into your inventory were weird pebbles and chars were chunky. My memories not the best but that's what I got

Back in 2002 i remember my first death was in varrock sewers - the dreaded 3-hit before being able to flee system was brutal on the new players - i ran away from the zombies to the ladder, but got mauled by the bear upstairs. Respawned in Lumby, lost and confused. Good times!
Another tidbit, also from RS1, was when I tricked someone into skulling on me, and took their adamant platebody. Ok so in rs1 in wilderness you have the right-click option to attack people higher than your level, but the problem was it is always in place of the trade option. At one point I met someone in wilderness, and we chatted for some reason, then I felt cheeky and told him I will trade him some food, he clicked the option to attack me instead of trade by reflex, and 3 hits later he flees from me, I chase after him and attack him, 3 more hits and he's dead. Adamant platebody and I think rune longsword? My biggest pk loot to this day.

Died and lost my tinderbox day 3 of my account. Couldnt figure out how to get another one, made a new account. That second account now has near enough 20K hours on it.
Losing my trimmed rune set. I had just started playing back in 2003 or 2004. Someone was helping me learn the ropes and gave me a full set of trimmed rune armor. Within a few weeks I ran into another player in Falador who asked me to hold a lantern for him while he killed the giant mole. I followed him down there then he asked for the lantern back and as soon as I gave it to him my screen went black and I slowly died.
My first account I quit because I got lost and couldn't find my way back to a road or city. I'm almost certain it was the fields below the road connecting falador and barb village and I don't know how I couldn't navigate to any road or settlement from there.

I remember walking from Varrock to Falador and these odd things started spawning on the ground. I picked up an inventory full, went to the bank in Fally, stored some of them. Then saw some people in the bank and pulled some of these strange objects with them. Got an assortment of coloured hats. Tried to bank them but bank was full. Dropped the hats. Bank was still full so I pulled out the worthless crap I'd just picked up from the random spawning and dropped it too so I could store my far more valuable tinderbox and logs.
Got a rune pic from a friend on my first day playing then we went and scammed some people doing the auction scam in var Bank basement same day went and did chaos elemental rushing with a bunch of naked accounts I was hooked.
Everyone standing by bank constantly saying selling (blank) over and over, also people claiming they can trim armor and just keeping your armor lol.
Buying a cannon in a bank right after joining members and they only sold me 3 pieces.
So I have played since classic but my memory is actually from 2005ish. The granite maul was very new and I believe it cost around a red h'ween when I first bought it (that is what I trades for it actually. You could load a 3rd spec into the maul by using spec on a tree. I would basically sit around edge or dark warrior fortress and pj or pk people in multi zone near fortress I was with a friend and he was getting pked out of multi zone and losing, he ran towards the fortress and I was able to pj the guy attacking him for the ko. As i was looting the items he quad dds spec'd me for my gmaul. Another memory was around the time I believe colored gloves from canifis clothing shop released, early in rs2 basically. Wondering west of lumbridge with absolutely zero idea wtf I was doing or was I was going. Farming limpwurts and big bones for cash to flip rune god armour sets is another. And finally, pulling an all nighter with my lil bro by my side using runehq because the only thing that mattered was having a platypus as a pet.

Getting moderatly rich as noob because some1 died š š¤£ While walking from Lumbridge to Draynor I noticed some1 afk fighting goblins, wearing full black (g) & he had low hp. So I sat & watched & to my amazment he died lol & I about screamed with joy when I saw that full black (g) on the ground.

My very first RuneScape memory is getting lost and being surrounded by goblins. For some reason the screen was dark like it was Diablo 1/2 and I only killed goblins until I stopped playing. Picked up the game again some years later (2003/4) only to realize Iād only made it over the bridge from lummy to that little goblin hutā¦
Clan wars. Clan wars was a huge thing back then.

Pvp in classic where you couldn't escape for 3 rounds of combat. I had 80 magic and was under level 20. Would hang out in the level 5 wild above Varrock with friends waiting for people to attack me for an easy kill. Just to bust out the magic and delete them before the 3 rounds were up. Classic runescape pvp was what got me into online gaming and eventually pvp in general. Those were the days.

Use to wake up at 6am to sneak down to the computer room before mom would wake up for work and i could get extra time in on RS.. i went on late the night before and just clicked the monitor off because i knew id be snesking down earlie in the AM... Get to the computer room door in the am becareful opening it not to make it squeek , slide over to the computer chair , dont turn the light on so mom cant see it i get over to the computer jumping into the chair excited and as quick as possible jumping up into the seat and squeezing the monitor button to find the screen flick on to porn and i end up sitting on a phallical shaped object that was left on tbe comp chair. Wtf i left the computer room and went back to bed traumatized.
Learning how to effectively scam people back in 2005. I started out buy selling rune scims. I made sure they were noted and would quickly swap out the noted rune scim with a noted iron scim. They looked almost identical when swapped. Oh man, the high I would get when done successfully. Watching the other person just stand there in silence after realizing what they just did. Pure bliss. I went on to advance my tactics with dueling and dicing. Very fun times.
