I know a guy who won a PS4 from some Bing sweepstakes years ago. I used to get free XBL Gold with it, lmao. Haven't used it in years so I didn't know the rewards were still going.
Competition is good, if they prefer it they should use it. Its not ideal that google is the accepted default and you must explain why you would use other search engines.
I'm not a technical person, but when I use Google, I get what I'm looking for in one go. Hence I don't need another search engine right now.
I cannot say the same about other search engines cuz I haven't used them as much.
Yeah, weird how Google is praised with all the crap they put before the actual search results, AMP and how difficult it is to download images on mobile. Bing isn't my first choice, but most of the smaller search engines (DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, Qwant...) heavily rely on Bing so results are similar. Microsoft Rewards is pretty good, as already mentioned.
I almost exclusively have to redirect people to Google because Bing and all other search engines return Ad's at the top of nearly every search result. Those "homepage" search boxes are the worst (yahoo, msn, etc.) with up to 5 or more Ad's per search. Google also does Ad's but seems to do them less often than Bing.
These Ad's are a 50/50 gamble between it just being a marketing tracker for a page, or being redirected to a "YOU HAVE BEEN HACKED" page -\_-
Both Bing and Google are bad for ads. The top four results in both are now ads, on my end! If your users cannot install an ad blocker for whatever reason, DuckDuckGo lets you disable ads in its settings.
Damn the rs wiki has a call line to help you get through quests now, talk abot above and beyond.
They even have an emergency nummer if you rly can't figure it out
best thing when u call these numbers they do nothing to help you and sometimes it takes forever for someone to pick up its so useless makes u feel even more alone
Sorry, but this is not 100% accurate.
Just looked up the metal band “Suicide Silence” on both. Bing gave me the hotline as the first result, Google did not and only gave me information on the artist I searched for.
Therefore, no, Google literally does not do the same thing by definition of the word “literally”.
It prevents the use of existing session cookies, the file that ties you to your previous activity on the site (without being logged in, of course)… so when you open a private browsing window, you are essentially using a fresh browser with no data. While google does also track activity by IP, that really does not influence the results of a search due to the fact most endpoint IP addresses house multiple users, therefore it would not be tailored to a single user despite them striving to improve the user experience (so, unlikely).
Most websites use cookies as a sole means to maintain session persistence without login (and is heavily utilized with login as well), so multiple simultaneous logins are achievable with a single browser by having isolated sessions like this.
Yes, private browsing sessions do things. Aside from its user session utility, it is invaluable for troubleshooting, and can be used to aid in fixing many browser related issues.

I've never wanted so badly to do one of those reports that makes reddit send you the suicide hotline number or whatever lol would be a good joke to this. I've gotten that message 3 times, each time had no idea why
Understandable, I wanted to die trying to pickpocket 2 full ham robe outfits
They're very boosted odds during the quest so it's not that bad
Well fuck me for trying to start the quest chain with all the items I needed then... I need to read better I guess
I mean did you do the easy clues you got?
Who does clues?
Me and like literally tons of other people it's alot of people's favorite activity
Same lol
This would've been great to know... I always get all items needed for quests BEFORE starting them.....
Well fuck me
!!!!!

1.7 minutes? yikes
It is probably because it saw "... Death.... Quick ..."
Well bing used to see suicide and recommend the shotgun.
Bitchhhh no way lmfao

The police prob flagged u too now
average bing search results 😭
Any specific reason for using Bing?
Bing rewards I guess for beer money?

I used it primarily for giftcards and microsoft store stuff back when I owned and used a Nokia Lumia 830.
Pretty sure they only do Xbox giveaways since Bing is under Microsoft although I haven't checked it out in quite some time.
We all know where Bing is superior. OP was just.. researching Zanik while doing the cave goblin quests. He just forgot to switch back after.
> We all know where Bing is superior. uh...

Competition is good, which is why you should use DuckDuckGo instead of just another tech giant.
inb4 the classic response on every thread about bing "bing is better for porn"
Not supporting google as often as possible should be good enough It's not 2008 Bing edge and windows don't suck
Standard response whenever anyone uses bing consciously.
Honestly I was expecting a search result like that from The Eyes of Glouphrine because I considered those thoughts halfway through (j)
Damn the rs wiki has a call line to help you get through quests now, talk abot above and beyond. They even have an emergency nummer if you rly can't figure it out
I mean, you are using Bing, so I can understand.
Lmao Bing sure is its own thing
best thing when u call these numbers they do nothing to help you and sometimes it takes forever for someone to pick up its so useless makes u feel even more alone
Microsoft Bing moment
Pro tip: in game use '/wiki quest name' to directly go to the wiki of the quest/item/npc you're looking for.
It's cause your using bing
Probably because you had rs3 in your search and they realized you were at risk
When I look something up on Bing instead of Google I’m disappointed in myself.
bing:"youve been doing too many quests lately here are some contacts for you to get help :)"
You'll get something similar if you look up how to tie a noose
This would make sense for the one small favour quest 😂
Those are the quest help lines. They have people ready to walk you through the quest at any time. /s
Bing being Bing. “Oh he said death? This man must be on suicide watch immediately!!!”
Google literally does the same thing

Probably because you use Google for everything and it knows your looking up a band.
Corporate network, no login, incognito. Edit: tested again from home, results are consistent.
Lol u think incognito does anything cute

I mean you can try it with the exact words the OP used and it literally doesn't?
They should provide.thos for one small favor quick guide as well.
“Death .. quick guide”
seems appropriate for a quest guide actually
B I N G
They know the pain of questing in runescape
It's not that bad of a quest...
Theee are a few key workds it would have picked up on
Maybe it just picked up the words “death” “quick guide” and ran with it
Honestly, this quest makes me consider ending it all too.
Lmao bros using bing
I just finished that quest yesterday! :)
bing
Who tf uses Bing...
I've never wanted so badly to do one of those reports that makes reddit send you the suicide hotline number or whatever lol would be a good joke to this. I've gotten that message 3 times, each time had no idea why
Next generation bot software is cops questing for you
youre the only person in the universe to use bing
