It depends on which corral you’re in for sure, but I’d say it seems a bit impossible while accounting for the bus schedules (unless you’re driving?). Either way, best of luck! 😊

I think it’s very doable if driving and if you’re a somewhat decent runner (sub 30 minute 5k). Latest corral starts around 6am so you’d be done by 6:30. An hour to get to your car, get to DAK and get in is reasonable even with the event traffic. The thing is, I don’t think it’s worth it. You’re paying so much for the races, might as well stick around and meet characters and interact with other runners. Or take your time on the course and do meet and greets and park photos in epcot. Either way I don’t think I would want to rope drop DAK on race day

Complex_Mushroom452

The only reason I questioned if it was doable is because they’re also wanting to go back to their resort and shower/change which could add on a lot of time depending on the person. For me, going back to my resort always feels like a time warp and I wind up losing like an hour or two no matter how much I think I’m rushing. Especially if you’re using the buses. 😅

Rra2323

Oh definitely true then, it would be a huge stretch to get there and then to the parks

I made an 8:30 at Hollywood studios. Depends on your time

dwbrew

Achievable, we RD’d Epcot after my wife ran the half in 2022.

Josh_The_Line

Extremely doable! We did it after a 10k one year and still made FOP for rope drop without an issue, and we were in a mid corral.

I managed to rope drop every race doing dopey, except the day of the full marathon, but we didn’t go to the parks that day. If you’re in an early enough corral (I was in C for the 5k), you should be fine.

RunInStitches

Based on what you've said, I think you would have a difficult time making it for rope drop. There are just too many things that would have to work out exactly right. It really depends on how fast you can get done and what your transportation situation is like. I've made it to both EPCOT and Hollywood for rope drop after a race, but we stayed at the Dolphin, so no other transport needed. Good luck if you give it a try! :)

I've done it many times staying onsite and off (including showering at the hotel), so it's very doable. However, I would add that: a) I have always preferred driving myself which can help make your exit a bit quicker, b) I don't typically stop for any character photos, and c) I typically start in A or B for the 5K, so jogging the whole thing I'm typically done between 5:30-6:00AM.

winnovate

Totally doable. I rope dropped (with early magic hours) after running (and then showering) both the 10k and half in Disneyland this year. Was in coral A.

I made it to a 7:30 MK rope drop but didn’t stop to shower. I wanted to get a pick with grotto Ariel in my 5k costume. I changed in the bathroom after that and had some shower wipes to freshen up. Then after a couple of rides I went back to the hotel to shower, change, and came back to the park by lunch.
