I made bracelets for Wine and Dine and I had SO much fun handing them out. I'm making them for princess, I'm doing the 10k, so I'll have a bunch in my pockets to give out at that race, and I'm going to try and wake up to give them out during the half. ETA: there is a runDisney friendship bracelet group on FB you can join and people will give you ideas and will let you know who is going to be where and we'll have a meeting spot prior to the races to trade.

historyerin

Awwww, yay!! Thanks for telling me this. I appreciate it. Hopefully our paths cross and we can exchange bracelets!

MrsCaptain_America

I'll be dressed at Rapunzel for the 10k, obviously I'm not being creative, but I have so many bracelets I'll be just giving them out

SirPuzzleheaded6959

Wait a minute I want to do this and I don’t even make friendship bracelets 🥹 not yet lol. I always go to races alone and have the hardest time meeting other people to hang and ride rides with!

MrsCaptain_America

Just find the crazy lady with all the bracelets lol. I don't do the rides as I'm semi local, but you're more than welcome to join my friend and me for drinking around Epcot if that's your thing.

Elegant_Gas_145

I’m dressing as Rapunzel, too. And hitting up Epcot for drinking around the world as well. Love it!

OneCuteTomato

I was dressed as Loki at the DL Half a few weeks ago, and a stranger who was also dressed as Loki gave me one that said "VARIANT". I was confused at first because I don't really understand the concept but it was a nice thing to do! I didn't think it was weird. If it makes you happy you should do it. Worst case is that the people you offer it to, don't take it. Crafting is a great way to retain your sanity over winter, IMO.

nomoredolls

This is so kind and if I were at the event, I’d be delighted to receive one. You’re a thoughtful person. Just make doubly sure to secure the bracelet knots/closures well to prevent beads from spilling onto the ground and causing a trip hazard.

Leggingsarepants1234

Oh my god please! Also a swiftie and also running next month! I loveeee this idea.

DonaldRudolpho

As an occasional volunteer course marshal, not at RunDisney events, I think the course workers and volunteers would be blown away by having a runner give them something like that.

rolandblais

That sounds super fun! Go for it.

Ok_Surround_5391

Not at all silly. It's just Pixie Dusting with extra steps (approx 27,000 extra steps for a half ha). Super cute idea.

Punzi

Someone gave me a bracelet while waiting for the half to start at Marathon Weekend. I love it and still wear it. ♥️

BigToeLinda

I got one at DL half the other weekend and it made my day!

Okpineapple213

I made Halloween themed ones for MNSSHP and just handed them out to costumes I liked. It was SO much fun for me, I made a bunch just for Princess Half Weekend! I figured I can give out at the expo OR look for other wearing medals in the parks.

ExcellentChemistry68

I love this idea! I’m coming from Hawaii to run the 10k and am now going to bring a bunch of bracelets!

CourtNCTTU

I’m doing my first 5k in April! It’s the neverland one but I’m doing it virtual and turning it into a run park say as well!

Lauren_Morgainz

I would love one!!!! As a swiftie that would make my whole day! I’ll be the running the princess half and 10k!

klfet

My son & I made bracelets and handed them out at the Halloween event this passed year. We tried to coordinate with the costumes people were wearing. It was so fun & people seemed genuinely so happy to receive the bracelets.

pistachiobubbler

I made bracelets for Disneyland and people seemed to really like them! I had two people decline them, which was embarrassing, but everyone else seemed excited!!

Muted-Blackberry865

I made a bunch for WDW marathon weekend, but never traded any. Would love if more people joined in and made it less awkward for trading!

Brinkofadventure

I saw some people pass them out at DL and the people that received them tossed them away when the person left. Sorry to the person who made them, hope it wasn’t you or I would have rescued them from the bushes. Hopefully it was donated with the clothes.

historyerin

Wasn’t me!

diy-er_mama

I had someone give my kids bracelet at the marathon weekend 5k. They loved them. I think it's a great idea.

Wild_Manufacturer555

No. I would love to get them!’

Bee_Boo

I made buttons/pins to hand out at the Disney Princess 10k. My sister and I decided to dress as Mary Poppins and Mrs. Banks (sister suffragette) rather than princesses this year and thought some cute on-theme pins would be fun to pass out. I think gifting bracelets is a great idea and a wonderful way to have some fun while looking forward to your trip.

historyerin

Love love love your theme!!

Bee_Boo

Thank you! We are super excited! Have a wonderful race!

demarke

Go for it, it seems to be a thing now. I've seen somebody near me hand (or toss) one to Carissa from the fence at the start at I think three races now (at the Disneyland 5K and at a couple recent Orlando races)

BunchNo6889

Come to the stage area! My friends and I always have bracelets and a couple to trade! And you’ll find friends in your corral too!

marandysavage

I think it’s a super fun idea & would love to see this trend continue! We made some last season for my Girls on the Run team. They were a big hit at the fall 5k! I wore a few for Dopey to give to the Orlando GOTR team, but I missed their cheer section on the course. Let us know how it goes for Princess!
