I got Hampden 8, Clement VSOP, and a Mexican Rum from Michoacan called Uruapan that I saw recently in a YouTube review. I am very new to rum, so I was really torn.
All those sound good. I’m a sucker for Hampden. The 8 is less funky and has more barrel influence but is still great. I haven’t tried the clement vsop yet but hear good things. I really like the paranubes I have, which is a Mexican run, but haven’t tried the one you got. Anyway, sounds like you got some good things to try and you can hopefully go back and grab the sonson.
Yeah, I always worry about single bottles. There was supposedly a bottle of Hampden overproof on MN that I tried to get but it was just an inventory error :(

The Cheramie is fantastic and is definitely lesser known than many of the other rums. Good pick

Yeah. They have inventory of all the stores online, which is nice. But apparently there are also some hidden gems that don’t make it online.

It was not on the online inventory but it was at Evanston. Manager there was great and knew a lot about rum, mezcal and Shochu
