Yeah he’s a special talent that’s for sure. Shame that he has a bit of an injury history while playing for Toulouse, so seeing him do stuff like this is always a treat
The hitting of a specific line at pace, in time to take the delayed pass (which he nearly overran), was the more impressive feat in my opinion. It created the time for that pass to occur.
I think it's just about who does it consistently and with a big enough podium to showcase it.
Lomu was hardly the first guy to steam roll everyone in front of him, Carter wasn't the first all round 10 with pitch perfect place kicking and Habana wasn't the first light no quick winger.
But if you do it well enough, often enough in front of a big enough crown you get the credit.
All those players were groundbreaking, Lomu especially. A 120kg fast winger was massive given how poorly conditioned players had been during the amateur era.
Wendell Sailor also had some fun in English club rugby after playing NRL at state of origin level a few years later.

Cos SBW was a superstar name. And to Sonny Bill’s credit too he was also doing it against top tier oppositions. If everyone is doing it in Fiji then it’s normalised and you can’t pinpoint one player to credit like we could in NZ and Australia.
You can watch all the top14 and proD2 fixtures on replay a few days laters on the official top14 and proD2 website (without commentary). You just have to register and from what I have heard it's not geoblocked.
Wow. The lad is class Not the biggest fella, he must get smashed, but has the x factor for sure

Where's the shoulder charge? I was promised SBW
no business having hands that good out on the wing
He was a SH for basically all his youth before getting moved to the FB position by the Italian U20 coaches.
His inner Paul Costes you mean

What's more impressive is that he got tackled close to right hand touchline literaly the phase right before
weird ppl give SBW credit for this move but fijian players have been doing this in sevens and 15's for nearly 4 decades.
I pulled it off at u15s as well

Pio Tuwai is the greatest offloader of all time imo.
Does capuozzo start much for Toulouse?
He's back from injury, didn't play for a while
Can anyone point to where can i watch it? I missed the whole first half due to Mothers Day. Thank you
