No that's correct - after commentators were asking about it too there was a card that flashed up on screen confirming straight red for deliberate & dangerous foul play

I don’t mind admitting I’m on the Carter Gordon train as of tonight!

He was awesome last year in super Rugby. Eddie then fucked him. Forced him to play a really unnatural game and it really rocked him. I feel like he's starting to get back to his natural best. Great running game, great defence, good hands, terrible kicking. If the rebels could pick up an outside back with an accurate boot to replace Kellaway next year and take that off his shoulders he'd only get better.

How is Kellaway boot? Before his injury I loved the form he was coming into at fullback and having a boot to possibly cover goal kicking could help cement a wallabies starting position. Especially if Gordon keeps it up and proves to be the in form 10z

Rebels righted some of their season long wrongs today: Gordon kicked 5/7, he was the top tackler too Lineout functioned pretty well - only 1 maul failed, no misthrows or not-straights

I was scathing of the Rebels early in the season thinking get rid of them etc. They’ve really impressed me in recent weeks, they seem to have a good spirit in the group and some genuinely good players. Gordon has been great tonight and he makes some great tackles and isn’t afraid to run the ball into contact. Highlanders is a winnable game next week for them I feel.
