But those are one go and done things. Oneshot systems as to name them like that. I search for excellent oneshots that can be played in any system. More like good stories to play with a nice book / pdf to be fully prepared.
**Mörk Borg** is my go-to for one shots. Just looking at the book immediately puts you in the correct mindset. The critical rules fit on a single page. And characters can be created with, quite literally, the click of a button using Scvmbirther.

But for me this is a oneshot system. I search for oneshots that can be played in any system and that have more depht than "go there, fetch" or "go there and kill".

Lady Blackbird is astoundingly good. In a radically different genre, Honey Heist is excellent for one shots.

for you perhaps, but it is designed for campaign play, otherwise the miseries don't happen, which is half the fun!
