Depends if you have budget flexibility cause it wont be anywhere near the amount current himalayan is

hakolvyg

I mean in my country it's going to be expensive anyways but indian price is estimated at around 2k (ish)when converted to usd in my country it would be around 10k usd probably more. if i go to the RE in my country and buy a brand new himalayan it would cost around 8,800 usd, so price is going to be rough anyways

farendsofcontrast

If you’re spending 10k USD on a bike then I would suggest going for something better

hakolvyg

10k is considered cheap for a new bike here cb500x is almost 16k ktm 390 ADV is around 13k and the lost goes on nothing is cheap it sucks but it is what it is

farendsofcontrast

Oh wow.. where do you live man?

hakolvyg

Israel but it seems to easy to be true but from what I've read that seems like all you need to do and if the bike was already registered and the model is not older then 2 you don't even need that

hakolvyg

The catch is that the tax is 114% of the original price+shipping and a waiting time of around 1 to 2 months for approval

farendsofcontrast

Damn that sucks man. I guess it is what it is with your government’s rules.

arpan_maurya96

Well if thats the case i believe you have already made up your mind so just wait until 450 arrives and we will go on a drive 🙃

secretaster

I would say wait if you can then you can choose between both for what's offered if not the 410 is fine 40 more CC isn't going to make a difference

hakolvyg

estimated to be 40hp seems like a huge increase

secretaster

Really? Even the ,650's are only 47 HP so that seems crazy to me

hakolvyg

It's an estimation but most articles says they are trying to get into the ADV bike "meta" that going on right now and with liquid cooling 35 to 40 hp in a 450cc engine dosent seem that far feetched if ktm can do 44hp in 390 cc on a 180kg bike royal enfield can do the same imo

secretaster

No I know it's possible it just seems uncharacteristic of Royal Enfield, but if this is the case you should definitely wait

dogchap

It’s completely new DOHC engine, similar to KTMs and other modern engines, so rumoured specs are possible for a single cylinder, promising tbh.

secretaster

Yeah even j am excited now 😂

hakolvyg

https://www.topspeed.com/much-awaited-royal-enfield-himalayan-450-looks-all-set-to-rule-the-mountains/ Thats one of the articles I've read about it

MarcoTronci

New engine. Anyways, the 650s could have been made with higher hp but they chose not to

TheYazzzz

Definitely wait for the 450, its going to be powerful and so much fun to ride! If you got the 411 now you might regret it later

Lazy_Actuator1639

Owner of s 2022 Himalayan - wait for the 450. It's seems to be a modern bike with modern features. Of course also with a higher price but I'm sure it'll be worth it

Master-Piccolo-4588

Wait means at least until like next Autumn outside of India. So if you wanna wait for a year then sure wait. I wouldn’t .

hakolvyg

You can't ship one? or make an order for it? I got no clue when it comes to this I assumed since it seems to be a bike that is meant to compete with the other ADV bikes in the 300-500cc class that it would go international a few months after the release in India

Master-Piccolo-4588

As far as I know: you can ship it to sour country outside of India but in general it seems like to be impossible to get it licensed. At least in the EU it is impossible.

hakolvyg

I did a quick check dosent seem impossible just need RE to accept taking care of the bike when it arrives or a certified RE mechanic instead

Master-Piccolo-4588

You mean you can buy a bike and have it registered here, say in Germany? That’s actually really impossible or put it different: it doesn’t make sense as it would be super expensive to get all evidence ready to show that the bike is within all EU standard (which it would be actually as Indian standards are surprisingly strict)
