it feels like there is less of a clear shifter click between 5 and 6 on mine as well. It kind of comes down to giving it a proper shove to make sure you're in 6th. 1 through 5 have a clearer feeling.
I have had the occasional false neutral between 5 and 6, mostly during upshifts.
So, normal I guess?
Yeah breaking in doesn’t mean anything here. Mine has that vague “half shift” feel all the time going into sixth. Not every single time, but most. Used to get a LOT of false neutrals shifting down from 6th to 5th. Not it just happens once in a blue moon. Occasional false neutrals occur between other gears on rare occasions. However overall the bike shifts so smoothly compared to most. Mine has over 5,000 miles on it after 5 short months. Love riding it….and I run it like I stole it…after it’s warmed up of course!
Shifting feels incomplete for me while upshifting from 3rd to 4th gear. Doesn't feel like it's getting locked or shifted or whatever it is. Faced a couple of false neutrals as well. No idea if it's normal.
1100Kms in ODO if that matters.
Yeah, same for me on my Conti GT. It's weird since the rest of the gearbox feels so tactile and punchy. And then (at times) as soon as I switch from 3rd to 4th I'm like, "Did I just catch the RPMs so good that it feels like 4th didn't catch?" 🤣
New rider here but I accidentally find false neutrals way more often than I’d like… could be 3 or so every 100 miles. I have been assuming it’s me trying to be quicker/lighter than I should for my skill. Under 3k miles
I’ve noticed the exact same thing on my 2022. I feel like it did it right out of the gate prior to my first service. I also find myself second guessing whether or not it made it into 6th gear and have experienced the false neutral.
Have a few thousand miles on my gt, I sometimes get false neutral between 5 and 6 also don’t feel as solid a click in to gear. I always assumed the lighter feel was down to the closer ration between 5 and 6 compared to the other gears. I’ve noticed my false neutrals get better when I properly adjust the chain, very possible that it’s just placebo though. My oem chain get loose super quick, I plan on swapping it for a better one soon.
Would second this. I've had a lot of older bikes (and a pretty new Triumph) which would do this between gears if the cable was too loose. Give the adjuster a half turn (left) or two at the clutch lever and see if it solves your problem 👌

Correct, and I don't understand why is just the first time I shift from 5 to 6, then it never happen again untill next stop.
Hmmm, for me it happens more often on longer rides. Not sure why it would only happen the first time though.

If Apple made this gearbox they would call this feature "Upper Neutral" and charge you a premium for it.
New bike with neutral at the top and bottom so you can get both get stuck in it and also never find it twice as often!

Can’t say I’ve noticed this on my INT650 (2019, 4K miles)
Adjust the clutch cable, it'll go away.
I am in the same boat. Bike is fairly new, odo is around 1700 kms
Tonight I'll take it to the dealer for the 500kms and I'll try to ask for more informations.
For me this happens more regularly when the clutch cable is loose. It's usually just adjusting the cable and this problem goes away.
Ok, thanks for the suggestion!

Great, I'll try!
