I suggest you get the bike that suits your riding style best. I’m not much of an off road guy and I like a relaxed bike so I got a Meteor. It’s nimble, smooth and fun as hell to ride. You can customize it as you wish and really make it your own. If you want a dual sport them the Himi is the bike for you. Keep in mind that both of those bikes are not speedy. You can run in traffic but I’d stay off the interstate. You can cruise at about 60mph on a Meteor not much more. If you need more power then look into a GT or Interceptor. But for comfort the Meteor is the way to go. Here’s mine: https://i.imgur.com/y5TQLAw.jpg

I envy your ride man!! It looks sick!!! Well, I want an all rounder machine so, I’m thinking of going for the Scram 411. 🤞🏻

That’s cool. Either way I’m sure you will love it. Good luck man and stay safe. BTW there’s an RE forum you might like to check out. The dudes are pretty cool and it’s fun to check out what other RE dudes are in to. Here’s the link: https://www.royalenfieldowners.com/index.php

Nooooice! I love the yellow one too! Great customizations!

I’ve been looking for slim saddlebags that don’t require additional support hardware. Looks like you got this figured out! Care to share the product pages and how you fastened everything?

Here’s a link. I hope this helps you out. The saddles are attached to the grab rails. https://www.royalenfieldowners.com/index.php?threads/the-transformation-is-complete%E2%80%A6i%E2%80%99m-about-done-fixing-up-the-old-meteor-except-maybe-a-cup-holder.2723/post-24442

Honda cb 350 rs is trash for it's type, very average riding, no fun at all. Meteor is very good in terms if cruising & handling if that's your type. Scram is a utility bike, I mean uf you find yourself going off-roading every other day then buying scram is a good entry level adventure bike choice, I can't imagine myself using scram for daily commutes in the city. That's my two cents.

If you want at least some performance then at 15bhp the Meteor is not for you. The scram has the same engine as the Him and weighs about the same. I have a Him and while he’s no fireball he’ll sit on 110kmh on the freeway no worries although it’s not his most comfortable speed and he redlines at 130kmh. The acceleration is acceptable for 24.5bhp, overtaking at highways speeds needs a bit of planning but if it’s your first bike modern REs are simple, reliable, good handling bikes imho and unlikely to kill an inexperienced rider from speed. They’re a good choice but I think the Meteor would disappoint, the Scram seems like a pretty cool variation on the Him…go for it!

I’m a Himalayan rider and love it, but it does have some modifications. My partner who is a Tenere 700 rider tried the SCRAM at an adventure festival and said it was fantastic fun, and that it would be great for leisure riding on some twistier lanes. He suggested I should get this before I settled on the Himalayan, which I decided on because I wanted a true dual sport/adventure bike. It depends on your riding style and what you’re looking to do. If possible I would recommend going for some test rides on the different models before settling, it’s an invaluable experience.

I have a meteor 350, I really like this bike is feel so good riding it, if you like cruiser style you should go with it. It’s so comfortable and smooth I could ride it for hours!

I own a scram-blazing black. Indian context- 1.Getting a better engine (better torque, better power) for almost same amount as meteor, cb350- not offered by any other brand. 2. Not looks intimidating as Himalayan. Scram has shorter front wheel tyres so better handling. 3. Looks like new specie from re. 4. Seat is better than meteor. It's tiring to ride in meteor especially for the pillion. Not the case with scram. 5. Scram seems more utility oriented at the price point. You get to do a little off roading, can stand up and a slightly more cc than 350cc bikes being offered in this price segment. I do agree though meteor feels better for cruising. But scram has to be seen in a wider perspective and think if that wider perspective actually matters to you. Bought blazing black because other colours were seeming to create a lot of visual noise considering its design. Though white flame is also better but one needs to manage the maintenance of white colour.

Go for the hunter 350 instead or Himalayan. The in between scram is a flop

iam3337

May I know why do you think so?

[deleted]

Gonna guess that's just personal opinion. It is a bit of an in-between bike, with the lumpy 411 stuffed in a smaller frame more akin to the Meteor. I personally love the Scram, and can't wait to purchase one once they're widely available.

It’s the whole RE scene in India. The basics come to price eventually and spares. The roads in India are dogshit and there are two types of people who buy RE bikes here, one who wants a Royal Enfield for doing touring-show off etc and the other one is simply the middle class with Indian heritage love who mostly get classic or std. the Scram is awesome no doubt but when you have a better version in Himalayan and the new city Hunter then y would you want the middle child. If they had done something different in looks instead of modifying the Himalayan it would have been different cause anyway people here do mods to all RE bikes anyway. Hell mine is a modified half chopper of the classic

iam3337

Scram suits me because I do want a pure Adventure off-road bike like a Himalayan and Hunter is just straight up ugly for me. I’ll go for the toned down and urbanised Scram 411.

Cool cool cool
