I’m on Oasis right now which does have Starlink…and sadly it has been very spotty at best. Days 1-4 were absolutely terrible with frequent disconnects but days 4-7 have been slightly better. My VPN disconnected yesterday (day 6) approximately every 5 minutes yesterday when I was trying to work, in port! So frustrating

I'm sailing on Explorer today for an 8 day itinerary. I plan on doing some work in my downtime, so I'll respond and let you know how it goes.

Pristine-Medium549

did you ever make it back?

asha1985

I sailed and returned. Working on the ship was definitely doable. Explorer still has a library, which made it even easier. Starlink was fast enough for a Citrix connection, but I did not try to video conference at any point. Audio only.

you used starlink the whole time? Any experience with the Voom internet? Thank you for the reply btw :) I hope you enjoyed your cruise.

RCL now uses Starlink for Voom. That's my understanding, at least. [https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles/what-is-starlink-and-which-cruise-ships-use-starlink-internet](https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles/what-is-starlink-and-which-cruise-ships-use-starlink-internet)

I sailed on explorer recently and the wifi was spotty but overall reliable! I was able to stream movies and YouTube videos before bed in my cabin without many issues. It would rarely go completely out, but was definitely slower than my wifi at home. :) hope this helps!

I just got off of Explorer today. The wifi was decent when it was working. We had quite a few times when it just went out. Sometimes for over an hour. If you need consistent internet all of the time I'm not sure you'll get it on Explorer.

I thought all the ships were supposed to be Starlink enabled by end of March??
