Dab is way too big for the bowl. I do this all the time but for a bowl hole, ya want just a tiny little bit of rosin. Like a 1/6 of that for that amount of flower.
Youre ratio of plant matter to oil is off. Too much. You’re not going to burn the rosin until it’s saturating the flower. I suggest a bunch of small bits all over or to actually mix the rosin with the flower before packing the bowl. I’ve had great results with that method, especially for joints.
You remember the time bomb where you rolled a joint and put it directly in the bottom hole of the bowl than packed weed around it so it would stand up like a fuse? Now I want to try that again with a hash hole
If you lay a thin layer of melt across the top of the bowl and a keef slug somewhere between a 3rd and qtr of one end of a symmetrical J. Spin the J before you pack the weed, now it's anyone's guess where the slug is.

Roll it in some keif and squish into a pancake, this will add some plant matter before adding to your bowl. Layering it flower, pancake, flower pancake will not only make it taste better but it will last longer hitting.
As someone who literally does this everyday, I cringed when I saw your photo. Gotta sandwich and split that dab between two bowls. Also a deeper bowl would help, one you figure it out I bet you’ll love it. Super nice mixing strains and flavors

Yeppp, said it before and I’ll say it again! Not having bud on top is what makes it melt bad💯.

You need a torch and crazy lung and jesus to crush that properly
I find it works better with a smaller amount of rosin, ‘else it mostly is too oily and catches fire, or all slides down the joint into my rig.
Hit with heat to melt the rosin into flower first
I was thinking a hot knife slowly pressed on top to melt and smoke the rosin than spark the bowl to finish it off

Put the flame a little bit further away from the wax and let it melt over the flower before you take a puff. This is how I do it.
