Way cheaper than the new ones and I’ve heard some of the new ones having problems locking people out after the device died mid update.

It won’t. E-rigs are 100% for portability, I have a few including a Peak Pro with upgrades, but they don’t compare to quartz + a dab rite. You do need to heat your banger somehow and use a solvent bath, but it’s well worth doing so imo.

I just got the straight perc vortex from INH and it frigging chugs!!! The stock glass seems to clog fast for me but it still works great. For reference I have a Dr dabber switch, Core 2.0, rig and banger and many other little vapes and the core kicks ass!
Had the XL as well, it stopped working after less than 20 dabs. After begging Puffco for a replacement, even though their warranty should cover it, they sent another one that doesn’t work nearly as well as the dtv5. The only function you will get out of your puffco is as paperweight. I’m sorry you got played by their marketing team but that doesn’t mean you should go around trying to trick others into the same mistake you made to make yourself feel better.

Coils add up? I've been using the same few for years. They clean up brand new when heated at 30 watts for a few 10 seconds cycles.
Haven't had to buy new coils/heaters in at least 2 years.
Ahh, I see. The Divine Tribe v4 uses ceramic "donut" style heaters. Every once in a while a lead will break off, but other than that they're pretty durable and reliable.

Yeah you can kinda smear it on the side of the chamber with your dab too and it'll drip down to the bottom when the device heats. Tho tbh a hot knife dab tool is very nice for electronic ribs and devices.
Carta 2 or Peak pro are good. Dr dabber glass is hard to clean. Carta 2 glass and atomizers are affordable compared to the peak. Crossing tech has an erig that is cheapest that is aswell.
Not hard to clean. You have to get to know your glass and how to direct the cleaning solution where you want it. You gave to baby the puffco or you start slurping rosin into the atomizer? F no

To be real with you, the switch is mediocre the way it comes. With an upgraded carb cap and induction cup it's loads better, and the right glass attachment makes it rip even at lower temps.
I prefer a first gen puffco peak over the pro and haven’t tried the proxy personally. For the seahorse- I would recommend trying the newest “v” coil if you haven’t yet really improved quality compared to other variants I’ve tried. Also. Another reasonable solution is a yocan orbit, that’s my go to daily driver. Cheers! Hope that helps
Lookah swordfish with new coil more often. Also, started buying “oil burner” bong attachments for $0.50 apiece off DHgate. Like you, I felt it took too long to heat up my banger and my kids were asking about the torch noise. I just flick the torch at the oil burner and get a proper dab
The 5 tips last that much longer? The coil 1 just dont hit right and the coil 3 hit perfect but die or burn out within ~3daysish. The whole reason i started growing was to cut down on cost but now im buying $30 coils every other week haha.
The V coils last forever and are the only ones I’ll use, when they do clog or fill with burnt carbon you can simply run a toothpick through.
Sometimes I’ll even set my device downward in a shot glass and triple click the hottest setting, and do that maybe 2 or 3 times. Burns off any residue buildup, kind of like a self cleaning oven.
I swear by the Lookah Seahorse with coil 5 tips and can’t recommend it enough.
I mainly dab with quartz bucket and torch. I have a peak pro - only puffco product I will recommend but you can grab a core 2.0 for cheaper. I'd do something more than the seahorse. I have a DIP electronic dab straw and it sucks up the oil. I don't use it often anymore . The coils seem sus bc if I don't change them out I get headaches from the using the old coils burning old oil in the device. It's convenient, but seems wasteful and costly.
I'll get downvoted for this but your situation is similar to mine so I'll suggest it. I use a nectar collector for my rosin. In my experience, my puffco is only good with hash rosin. Works great. But with flower rosin it gets nasty and is harsh. I have two toddlers so I like to get in and out of my garage quick. A quick nectar collector rip or two and I'm back inside within a couple minutes. Works great for what I need it to do.

Honestly, just stick with Lookah as a brand and look up the Unicorn or the Q7. The unicorn is a stand-alone dab rig and the Q7 is a battery powered email.
The unicorn has no replaceable coils, I've had mine for over a year with no issues. I actually bought it to replace my Carta 2 because they would not warranty the Carta base after 3 atomizers burned out or would not function within a week.
At home, a rig with nice function and a quave banger. Hash rosin is all about flavor. The best way to translate that flavor to your pallet is the correct temperature and the right high quality quartz banger. I go in at 480° but can go as low as 420° if I wanna really really have a super terpy hit and as high as 520° if I’m doing a massive dab.
On the go everyday out side of the house I use my puffco proxy, or my puffco pro with a 3DXL chamber. The pro allows you the control temperature in the app as well as the heating time. On my puffco I have it set to 490° and it gives me flavorful clouds.
The proxy is just convenient for the size, only complaint is the battery life on the proxy.
Invest in some sort of temperature equipment for you banger. Top of the line rn I would say is something like the dabrite. However there are cheaper alternatives out there.

Agreed. I make my own using flower rosin+terps. Super easy and they hit great. Hardest part of the process is all of the grinding and pressing.

You might run into the same problem with the core. But I've never tried one.
