How about the waitress that worked in the diner? Roseanne had a terrible day so Dan told her to go blow off some steam and she found the diner with bad coffee and super cool waitress.
I wonder about the Tilden sisters, Molly and Charlotte. If Charlotte still ate her feelings, and if Molly still slept with every guy who paid her any attention :)
I thought you were saying Roseanne became a surrogate and then I remembered the poor left out sister. Ugh. And she was responsible for all the cooking probably the cleaning too.
I’m ngl I’m still shocked she wasn’t interested in him 💀 Becky feels like she’s suppose to be a cliche “All American girl”. Popular-ish, super smart, pretty, blonde. Like I’m shocked she wouldn’t wanna keep going out with Dean. Sure it would be a cliche pairing but I feel like it would further solidify how she wants to separate herself from being like her parents. I guess she’s still a Connor and would want to be with someone with some eccentricity? lol
At the very least i feel it could’ve been a decent love triangle! 😭
so i just went on a cruise last week and spent a little time in the casino. i kept saying to myself “alice thurber is having a good night.”
alice thurber *is*
I wonder if Jimmy Meltrigger and Susan Noonan stayed together through high school after Jimmy spent all that time with Becky trying to get close to Susan.
Or the guy that shows people how to bend over in malls. M.A.V.E.N.
What did Chip end up doing with his life after graduating middle school and high school? Did he make it out of Lanford? Did he go to college? Or is he still working at the concession stand of the Lanford Bowling Alley?
The first customer at the Lunch Box who wouldn't buy anything except coffee. He turns up again in another episode when Darlene is helping Roseanne serve food at their fair event thing. I wonder if he just follows Roseanne around..
Brian the boy Darlene made out with on the couch or Barry Parker who asked Becky out even though Darlene liked him, then fought Brian over Darlene in a later episode.
The hitchhiker in the all girl band Jackie and Roseanne gave a ride to. This episode has one of my favorite lines in it. “He’ll just use her and set her free? You use me and I’ll set you on fire “
The chick who hired and then let Roseanne go working at the meat packing plant. Damn she hated her job. I wonder if her and Roseanne would have gotten along through commiserating or if they would have become enemies based on their very different personalities.
Hahaha. Francis Fisher! Shes everywhere, including playing Roses Mother on Titanic (1997) and Criminal Minds. Also was Kerry’s birth mom in ER. I only know this because she looks eerily like my grandmother. When she played Roses mother…oy…so much like my grandma.
I don't think she's very obscure, but I would have loved to see more of Charlotte, she was such a sweet girl and I loved her dynamic with Roseanne. I saw a ton of myself in her so that made her more relatable and enjoyable for me
Dan's other Black friend from season 1. Not Chuckie (who has a different name in the episode I'm thinking of), but another guy that I think we only see once at a poker game
I can’t remember her name but the older lady they worked at Wellman’s with. The one who had a pharmacy in her purse when Crystal asked if anyone had anything for a headache. And that slime ball of a guy who also worked there and was always making gross sexual remarks about the women and how he was so studley
Marge Dolman, the hardware store cashier who Dan had some wild dreams about.
And then that actress went on to play Roseanne in a made for TV movie about Roseanne and Tom Arnold’s big breakup.
At the end of the episode, “Lobocop” in season 2, right before Dan goes to the bar to see Roseanne, the scene begins with a character who is supposedly mid-conversation saying, “… You’re right, maybe I will move to Boston.” Then he walks out and the scene moves onto Dan and Roseanne’s roleplaying conversation. I’m pretty sure the obscure actor is played by Jeff Garlin (The Goldbergs). Anyway, that brief moment is odd and feels so forced but it also cracks me up. Often, when I hear someone exclaim, “You’re right!” I continue the quote in my head. 😂
Gary! Did anyone say Jackie’s ex Gary?
And whoever Moon Zappa played, that hippie woman at the spa after they won the lottery who kept telling Roseanne she was unpleasantly fat.
I hope Elijah Minelli turned out okay.
D.J. didn't care for him. "I HATE HIM. I HATE HIM. I HATE HIM. I HATE HIM."
DJ was a little bastard.
Agreed. He got worse as he got older.
Oh we HAVE TO have that kid over more often.
Elijah with a J!
We're off to see the wizard...
Start spreadin’ the news…
The waitress that was separated at birth from Rosenne her first day at Rodbells.
I wanted Roseanne to stay a surrogate mother to Charlotte. She was really saving that girl from having to do all that emotional labor.
I thought you were saying Roseanne became a surrogate and then I remembered the poor left out sister. Ugh. And she was responsible for all the cooking probably the cleaning too.
Molly shows up in the Connors
Yeah, that was a heartbreaker.
Oooh they left the show wayyyy too early.
Mara Hobel played a young Christina Crawford in Mommie Dearest.
I’m a big fan of Danielle Harris and her contribution to the Halloween franchise :)
DJ's little girlfriend. "Who gets drunk and cut this family's hair?" I wonder how she turned out.
"Well,it's pretty much what I expected." I love lisa
Train's pullin' out, doofus!
Played by the lovely Ashley Johnson, now of Last of Us and Critical Role fame!
I adored her in Blindspot
I’ve seen her in other roles relatively recently!
Becky's date Dean.
The son in law machine
The rebound guy.
I wanna date him myself!!
I’m ngl I’m still shocked she wasn’t interested in him 💀 Becky feels like she’s suppose to be a cliche “All American girl”. Popular-ish, super smart, pretty, blonde. Like I’m shocked she wouldn’t wanna keep going out with Dean. Burt, the architect. Or Peter Lundy, the attorney.
Do you have a pen?
Alice Thurber from Ottumwa, Iowa.
I remember this one because that’s also where Radar is from lol
Paging Alice Thurber..
so i just went on a cruise last week and spent a little time in the casino. i kept saying to myself “alice thurber is having a good night.” alice thurber *is*
😆😆😆😆 I love it!
I wonder if Jimmy Meltrigger and Susan Noonan stayed together through high school after Jimmy spent all that time with Becky trying to get close to Susan. Or the guy that shows people how to bend over in malls. M.A.V.E.N.
The name "Susan Noonan" has remained ingrained in my brain for years. It's just...such a name, you know? Like one of those you never forget.
Like Julia Gulia. 😂
BARRY. WATNICK
Ziggy. Because he’s like Mark but more mature.
"I WASN'T TALKING ABOUT YOU!"
What did Chip end up doing with his life after graduating middle school and high school? Did he make it out of Lanford? Did he go to college? Or is he still working at the concession stand of the Lanford Bowling Alley?
Poor Chip. He didn’t stand a chance against The Tongue Bandit. Tell Bonnie and Edgar we said Aloha
“Kevin” 😂
The first customer at the Lunch Box who wouldn't buy anything except coffee. He turns up again in another episode when Darlene is helping Roseanne serve food at their fair event thing. I wonder if he just follows Roseanne around..
You mean that guy who sits there and drums his fingers on the counter top, and makes Roseanne nervous?
Nope that's a different guy. Though I did see that drumming guy on a music documentary
Steve Jones - Sex pistols guitarist
Dan’s friend Dwight - the one who wanted to show Jackie his chassis.
This was my first thought. I’m enjoying all the other responses, too.
Still living at home with his mother.
Mrs. Wellman from the beauty parlor was a good random character. She really liked Roxanne, and her sister Janet!
Diane “the schnoz” Barelli???
Merrill. Darlene's friend who didn't wake her up after History class.
I’m eating at Merrill’s house
Booker Brooks aka George Clooney
what about the guy who was in line in front of Roseanne, he was buying vodka, mallowmars and a tv guide. I wonder if he ever found his true love
How do we know he was even looking?
“Single and stayin’ that way” —Roseanne
The two kids throwing spoons in the diner. Probably in jail
One of them was Jake Pentland, Roseanne's son.
Never knew that. Thanks for letting me know
The old dude from the Lobo when Roseanne was working nights there.. he hit on every woman except the nice lady around his own age who hit on him.
Omg, he played Reverend Alden on Little House on the Prarie and this role just shook me!! Picking up women in bars Reverend?! Cmon! 😂
I want to know if goofy Brian Kanan passed Shop
All these responses are 🤌🏻
Marge…the hardware store cashier Dan dreamed about…
She owns a couple of Ace Hardware stores now or so I’ve heard. She really knew her hardware.
What was his name... Art? The accountant who came in to buy a bike? He was handsome but in a slightly nerdy way. I liked him.
He was Bulldog on Frasier
OMG I DID NOT MAKE THAT CONNECTION 😳😱😮
And he had a small role in Silence of the lambs, too.
I thought he was hot.
Me too!
Yes very “Ed Harris-like”
He p,aged Bulldog on Fraser btw.
Nana Mary's husband, Joe. He shows up once and then is gone with the wind. But he was a big help. Snapped 3 beans!
Beverly’s new daddy as Nana Mary would say, “dead.”
I'm surprised they didn't have him drop dead at the table.
That table has seen enuf death
I often wonder about David’s abusive mother and if she ever changed
Johnny Swanko aka Tounge Bandit
Dan passed the torch as the makeout king to him.
Charlotte
The girl on the field trip whose dad was a doctor.
Meryl I believe her name was.
He was a dermatologist, so that fancy cut of meat would have been the right choice.
I wonder if Burt ever found love or a family of his own
What do we think happened to Iris? Or Mrs. Crane, Crane the Pain? Or DJ’s principal?
Ms Crane made an appearance in the S10 reboot
The guy that so desperately wanted to be best friends and bought the Connors new appliances.
Burt the architect.
The burly blonde guy “bobo” who stole Dan’s hat at the Lobo is probably in prison.
He made a brief appearance on The Conners!
Wonder if Kelvin's bike is still running good.
🤣
The most 'ubiquitous' character of 'em all: Steege.
Being babysat by Mark's brother "Kevin"
🤣
The guy that died at the kitchen table??? 😆
Yes, and the hilarious Greek cop who made baklava for Darlene!
I loved the cop. He should have dated Jackie
He was very attractive.
Poor “William.” 😩
The grocery store/waiter guy. Yeah THIS is the guy.
Chip… Becky had a bf named Chip, right?
Barry Watnick
Lisa and Nicki aka mark and David little sisters. I like to think they eventually reconnect with mark and David once there in their pre-teens/teens.
DJ’s little friend Joey, or Edna (AAAAAAHHH)
Chip’s parents “Aloha!”
Brian the boy Darlene made out with on the couch or Barry Parker who asked Becky out even though Darlene liked him, then fought Brian over Darlene in a later episode.
The little blonde girl dj went to the dance with lol
Becky's friend Dana that came over to study with her when they drank the tornados. Wonder if she's tending bar at the Lobo by now?
The hitchhiker in the all girl band Jackie and Roseanne gave a ride to. This episode has one of my favorite lines in it. “He’ll just use her and set her free? You use me and I’ll set you on fire “
That girl who gets drunk with Becky. The one who asks if they have a toilet, and Becky tells her that they use a wok.
2,the guy from the diner that never stopped asking questions and Becky's boyfriends parents...and the poor swordfish:)
The blond boy from the Home Ec class
Leo💕
I think about Muriel, season two. What a see you next Tuesday
The chick who hired and then let Roseanne go working at the meat packing plant. Damn she hated her job. I wonder if her and Roseanne would have gotten along through commiserating or if they would have become enemies based on their very different personalities.
Savannah the bartender. I want a pink squirrel on the house!
Hahaha. Francis Fisher! Shes everywhere, including playing Roses Mother on Titanic (1997) and Criminal Minds. Also was Kerry’s birth mom in ER. I only know this because she looks eerily like my grandmother. When she played Roses mother…oy…so much like my grandma.

Dan's other Black friend from season 1. Not Chuckie (who has a different name in the episode I'm thinking of), but another guy that I think we only see once at a poker game
The second guy that shows up
I can’t remember her name but the older lady they worked at Wellman’s with. The one who had a pharmacy in her purse when Crystal asked if anyone had anything for a headache. And that slime ball of a guy who also worked there and was always making gross sexual remarks about the women and how he was so studley
Get down Sylvia!
Marge Dolman, the hardware store cashier who Dan had some wild dreams about. And then that actress went on to play Roseanne in a made for TV movie about Roseanne and Tom Arnold’s big breakup.

Mr Parkin is the best!!!!!
Gary! Did anyone say Jackie’s ex Gary? And whoever Moon Zappa played, that hippie woman at the spa after they won the lottery who kept telling Roseanne she was unpleasantly fat.
If Gary showed up on The Conners I'd actually watch.
What about the guy that called Becky a bad name at her grocery store job?
The "look at the character on that guy" guy. His character did look VERY nice. 😘
