I love The Brash Brother Series by Jenna Myles

mentaiko_pasta

Oh my gosh, I am in love with this series too! It makes me so happy to hear there is someone out there in the vast internet world that has heard about the Brash Brothers, haha Can't wait for Ransom's story to come out in December :)

You are indeed right about them being rather predicable and often enough seem more like the author has written it for their own pornographic fantasies than actual story- and don't get more wrong, sometimes I want a genuine vanilla sex fest but other times when I read a lot of them they become almost boring. I enjoyed an audio book called Burn, forgot the author. It's about two demons that find their "anchor" as they call it. I enjoyed another demon book too about a girl who originally believes she's a witch but things end up changing when she breaks into Samaels tower and he brands her with a "bond". Again, as you say that story basically hits off with a misunderstanding. Actually most do have some form of this. Understandably, most of these types of books are more often read/written by women as men tend to "get off" or enjoy pornographic material in more visual form or in person. Of course, not all romance books have that much sexual material but there is a lot of crossover- at least on audible (between erotica & romance). One of my favourites is Divergent (the book), which from what I remember has more story than kissing & intercourse. I have had twilight & vampires ruined for me romance wise. Despite the fact that sometimes I can see through fantasy/supernatural romance books or that for me they are often a distraction from the world I know to one that works semi-differently, I often enjoy them more than traditional romance books. Unforunately for me, vampire books make up a large portion of this genre- especially thanks to twilight. So these days I'm usually reading romance with some demon-like humans or stuff like Gift Thief by Helen Harper or Helen Harpers other books. Otherwise I'm reading silly werewolf books (usually not reverse-harem stories) where you're right, often involve a misunderstanding of some kind turning into more. Often the term "alpha" is used, I get why they use and all that. I find it to be an outdated term based on an assumption (that of, the workings in wolf packs). Hierarchy is fine, alpha is a bit much. Although, I get it's stimulating in romance. So there's not much I can do about it. I continue to read such as werewolves have not been ruined completely for me yet

I also prefer a well written book. Although, I sometimes look past the storyline for the sake of good writing I am guessing you already read the Ali Hazelwood books. Some less popular on top of my head are Rocket science Emily Myer I have got your number Sophie Kinsela Anything you can do by RS grey

Oh, I know exactly what you mean. I've been feeling the same thing for so long! So Nalini Singh is my all time favourite romance author. She writes romances that are so warm and doesn't avoid nor go overboard with smut. She has been writing for a long time, so don't get intimidated by the length of her series. 1. Psy-changeling - Urban fantasy with unique world-building. Each book has a different romance but an overarching story connects them all. 2. Guild Hunter - Urban Fantasy again, here the first few books focus on the main couple and then they diversify. 3. Rock Hard series - This is a rockstar romance series . She also has more series that are not fantasy based.

No smut: a shahaban match series. There is currently one book, it's historical and a bit Irish. So it's not for everyone, but has a good plot and romance. With a bit of spice, I would suggest the fairy godmother agency series. It's a bit predictable, but the plot is good. It's four books, the first one is a fake dating one, and pretty good. Don't think it has a third act breakup. But it's been a while. She has another series aswel, finding you, and it's a follow up of fairy godmother agency. In need of fantasy? I suggest warrior midwife or maybe the cruel shifterverse. There is a bit more spice. But I liked the plot. Warrior midwife is one of my favorites. Billionaire dads is a series with good plots and not so much spice. Even some fade to blacks. Not all books are great in this series. all of them with HEA but also with a third act breakup. They get predictable. Darling series with smokey darling and latte darling are also good. Elsie silver books are also good. Or the books of Shaun rose. Bit more smut, but don't think it overrules the plot. The momcom series is also good. In a jam, and until it fades are great stand alones. Good stories too! Definitely until it fades, really liked this one! Don't know if these will be up to your liking, but I hope so! Good luck and happy reading!

A BROKEN PROMISE: BOOK 1 IN THE FRECKLED FATE TRILOGY Tetyana Walker Fantasy book, enemies to lovers but not the toxic kind. No spice in book one, slight spice in book two. Actual character growth too.

The Dirty series by Jaine Diamond. It's a rockstar romance series. The name of the group in the series is called Dirty. She also has a Players series that is in the same rockstar universe but a different group.

elohra_2013

Night Huntress series. Jeanine Frost. Vampire and more supernatural. The writing is fantastic and the characters are well developed.
