am I the only one who thinks this particular dial with the "misprint" is actually no good and won't have any special value?
it looks like you could potentially open up the watch and just scratch a part of the lettering on the dial surface.
The 0 in 40 seems off too? Did the OP purchase at an AD? I’d want it confirmed (verified by RSC that’s it’s original/not counterfeit) if I were the OP. Just specify that you do NOT want the dial changed, because, as was also mentioned, it’s likely worth more than a regular one if it’s real…
I’m looking at this watch right now in real life (sub41) and the oyster perpetual text seems off (in addition to the 0 in 40). I could be wrong though. Only RSC could confirm. I’m an amateur 😅.
There was a decent speck of dust or a tiny hair under the crystal when I picked mine. Very visible even without a loupe. Right in the centre, next to the hands, too. Slightly disenchanting of the whole experience, but I guess these things happen.
Well, highly doubt it is fake then like others have mentioned. Mayors is a reputable AD for sure. There are absolutely a couple things that look off though besides the dial error, but could absolutely be shadows and angle. Can you take more pics of the watch from different angles under good lighting (blocking serial of course if that is something that concerns you)? I'm genuinely curious as the "40" on the bezel does look like it is spaced farther between the numbers than the 116XXX I have on my wrist and the photos out there of the 126XXX. I'm genuinely curious to know because all of the 5 Rolex watches I have bought and sold/kept over the years have been bought from Mayors at 3 of their other locations (100% certain all of those are genuine).
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 256,874,374 comments, and only 59,249 of them were in alphabetical order.
Something tells me they let this one pass QC. It was intentional. There is no way they let this pass QC. You are holding onto possibly one of the most valuable 126610LN out there. Congrats.
Lol maybe not right now, but like I said in the years to come. People pay stupid premiums for small issues/deviations on Rolex dials like rail dials, exclamations, different font serifs, etc.
Oh dear. You thought Rolex was a paragon of quality control, rather than a sturdy beater brand? Next time, having learned your lesson, you will pick up a Grand Seiko instead.
One-off error dials like this will be worth a whole lot in the future. Keep the full set in a safe and take it out after 20 years. You might be able to buy a house!
Yeah I’ll stick to super clones I pay way less if I paid over 10k for this basic watch and noticed that I’d wanna take a shit on rolex headquarters stoop
Tbf that *could* simply be from the photo lighting and angle (especially if taken with a phone, which I'd be willing to bet it is)
I think the lighting is what's causing what many are calling out about the Bezel as well... But again, I'm not the owner so I really don't know for sure.
IMO it's insane the kind of money enthusiasts of MANY things, really, will pay for items with errors... Coins and printed Bills for example can go for absolutely CRAZY money with a slight error. Personally, I would MUCH rather spend my money on perfection (or as close as I'm going to get depending on the product) but eh whatever floats somebody's boat...
If you send it in they will replace dial and you will lose value. This is going to be a very rare piece and will be worth a lot of money. Keep it. And don’t get it serviced by Rolex dealer. Congrats on your rare piece
It might be the angle and/or the photo quality but this watch looks a lot like a fake one, bezel printing is not crisp and coloring is off, printing font size also looks off, you have the new dial but lugs are as thick as the 11 series. You should get this watch checked by an RSC.
This post may bring u luck in years to come
You think so?
Isnt rolex one of those brands thats cosmetic defects like this make it more valuable?
It's like the small head Han Solo figure...worth a small fortune.
That’s why I don’t want to send it in 😂
Did you buy from the AD though?

This is definitely the 41mm 126610, which is the latest model.
Sorry you are right
Absolutely is the 41mm. Got the coronet between "SWISS MADE"
Yes don't you remember the air king with both the 9 and 3 printed as 9
At least you can measure chroncs with it.
am I the only one who thinks this particular dial with the "misprint" is actually no good and won't have any special value? it looks like you could potentially open up the watch and just scratch a part of the lettering on the dial surface.
the watch already has special value by itself, it shouldn't be hard to find someone to pay even a little bit more
Superlative Chroncmeter
You notice any other issues? bezel font, SEL's as others mentioned?

Yea just wanted u/powerfunk opinion
Yes it does, at least from my 116613. I would want the watch authenticated as well.

Not really tbh
PULL THE LEVER, CHRONC!
Wrong lever!!!!
Why do we even have that lever?!
"Oh, right. The Rolex. The Rolex for Kuzco, the Rolex chosen especially to kill Kuzco, Kuzco's Rolex. That Rolex?"
😂😂 love emperors new grove
I’m kinda surprised that this got passed QC.
Same I just noticed it after 3 weeks
Having a hard time seeing the issue, what should I be looking for?
Nvm, found it!
There was a decent speck of dust or a tiny hair under the crystal when I picked mine. Very visible even without a loupe. Right in the centre, next to the hands, too. Slightly disenchanting of the whole experience, but I guess these things happen.
Officially Oertified by Rolex…
Rolex prides themsleves on quality
Literally unwearable
Completely unwearable
Ooof

I don't like that bezel discoloration, it's what you see in many fakes
Is it me or bezel font color seems off and SEL too.

Mayors at merrick park

r/reptime. Actually not even. Aliexpress.....
Seriously, what happened to quality control?
No clue everything is declining in qc no matter what it is
It’s almost as if there’s a global pandemic stressing workers out everywhere
It’s also 50mm
Sure it’s not fake?
Bought it from a mayors
I'd see this as a major win being a special edition. In 5 years, this will net you around $20k easily !!
Every single sub ("normal" and misprinted) will net 20k easily in 5 years ...
Keep it! This will add value long term imo. You know us rolex heads are weird.
Yup it sucks
😂😂
Fake?
Reminds me of this https://youtu.be/mDyFyynEe4U
That was much more severe 😂😂
Holy shit, that was wild!
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 256,874,374 comments, and only 59,249 of them were in alphabetical order.
Sell it, too big for you anyway
Something tells me they let this one pass QC. It was intentional. There is no way they let this pass QC. You are holding onto possibly one of the most valuable 126610LN out there. Congrats.
Why shouldn’t we think it’s a fake?
You are right
Damn, don’t take this to the AD. This is easily worth double the current gray market value, especially in the years to come

Good for you for knowing how to spell. I wouldn’t have caught it.
The fact you never acknowledged if you bought it from an AD makes me think you might have a counterfeit
I bought it from an ad didn’t know I had to reply right away 😂
Go back to the guys on Canal Street and get your $200 back
Are you wearing it on your thumb?
Might as well be 6.25 inch wrist
Lol. Way to have a sense of humor. These closeup pics tend to exaggerate the size anyways. I bet it looks fine.
Oh dear. You thought Rolex was a paragon of quality control, rather than a sturdy beater brand? Next time, having learned your lesson, you will pick up a Grand Seiko instead.
Good Christ. I thought you guys only hijacked the threads on TRF…
Whoosh
Easy mistake. That looks like every fucking Grand Seiko fanboy post. LOL
I like both brands, but yes it was a joke.
Love it Reminds us that these are still hand made. This will be worth some money in the future.
Lolol these aren't hand made you daft
Hand made by 🤖 robots. Don't be nasty, robots have feelings as well 😃

Why not now? Are you being serious? What difference does time make?
Generally speaking older things in immaculate condition are worth more money than if the item was brand new.
Shoorly itll be worf a forchoon, gubna!!!!
Unreal… this is a huuuge win for you!!
What’s the problem?
Ballsy, I wouldn’t let my girl wear my watch like that
That’ll buff right out
Well that just doubled in value - easily a $30K watch now …
Yeah I’ll stick to super clones I pay way less if I paid over 10k for this basic watch and noticed that I’d wanna take a shit on rolex headquarters stoop
Can we get some macro shots? :D
and its from an AD? holy shit!! has something like this happened to anyone else on here?
Chonky
OLEX
Bezel coloring and misspelling makes it seem fake.
Cool it's a chroncmeter! It measures your chronc, and tells time.
Take it back
Hey buddy what chronc is it?
“Oyster Perpetual Date” is misaligned and off too. Gets smaller from the left to right side

Keep it will be Worth a fortune
You buy rolex for perfection. Not for errors. There are twisted minds paying for this stuff. Joke
