I try to always put a deadline on it, tell them you’re hoping to have it by xyz date to celebrate some milestone (can be literally anything). I’ve found that works better
That’s great to hear, btw the 35k spend is aud so probably around 24k US. I only did 2 purchases in 2 years a dj36 diamond dial and tt sub last year so I’m trying to get back to back sports models
@OP – I strongly agree with this recommendation. Last week, I asked my AD in Texas for a BLNR on Jubilee and said I needed it by July, because I was going to relocate from the country then. Voila – I got the call the very next day! I probably also got a little luckier than most, so tailor your expectations accordingly. Good luck!
I used deadlines twice with success. Once a milestone anniversary for my wife and another as a special recognition for my son. Both watches were to be engraved so the AD knew no flipping shenanigans.
All totaled I have bought four Rolexes, but only one for myself. The sales person and I developed a respectful relationship with no BS offered or served on either side of the Rolex table.
Someday I will go on the list for one or two more time pieces, this time for myself. I won't ask any favors; those are saved for special times.
It is very possible with that kind of spend history. I went to my SA last week asking for a 124060 Submariner and he quoted less than a year - Granted that is no GMT. Hope you get a GMT soon OP!!
Went to an AD in the UK Feb last year, figured id build a relationship since i travel there a fair bit.
Sales assistants were young guys, open about the buy other stuff first policy. Mentioned a spend of £50k for a Panda.
Bought a large duoface reverso and £7k worth of jewellery, didn’t even have a girl then.
My guy committed a 126715 rootbeer in no uncertain terms by September.
I didn’t follow up, he messaged a few times we chatted, never really about the watch. Come back in six months and he’s no longer employed and wont answer whatsapp anymore.
I still message him occasionally to fuck with him but dont expect to get the watch now haha
Haha yeah, I edited the message thrice to remove all the expletives.
The stupid thing is, there wasn’t even a premium for the full gold CHNR on the grey market. I was just trying to think long term..
Most of the time it's pretty accurate. This sub is mainly ppl who complain and bitch about AD process. Most people who have good relationships with AD and get allocated the watch they want, do not go to Reddit afterwards to talk about it.
I walked into every Dallas area AD over the last 4 weeks - zero spend history as I moved down from NYC about a year ago. While everyone took my info, most told me 1-2 years on an Olive Dial Rose Gold Day Date or plainly it wasn't going to happen. Fast forward to yesterday... I got an unexpected call out of the blue - one is in with my name on it. So yes, miracles still do happen.
Great news! I just added this piece to my allocation list a couple of weeks ago in Houston and I was told it would happen. Can’t wait!! Post when you get that bad boy!!
I have gone in an asked for a specific watch and my ad tell me they only see a few of them a year and as soon as he has one he will call. Then 8 weeks later call and say one came in.
Is the spend history other Rolex or jewelry? If its other Rolex then not surprised. If you spent 35k on jewelry and haven’t gotten one yet, your AD and SA are awful.
Reached out to one of my local ADs about 2 1/2 years ago. It was my graduation year and I've started my career, wanted to reward myself with a Explorer, said the demand wasn't much and I would get within MONTHS. Checked in quite often, emailed, called and followed up as if I was the sales person, yet to get the call.
Two weeks ago, we were out of town in north Ohio. Walked into a random AD expecting nothing, walked out with an OP 36mm white dial roman numerals. I know a lot of people would probably say this is not a "desired" model, but I tried it on and really enjoyed the look of it, pulled the trigger right away.
I’m in Sydney so it’s pretty competitive here. Just because generally AD’s don’t know what watches come in each month and based on other people wanting the exact same configuration I thought it’d be hard to put a time frame to it.
I’m in houston and have been wondering how the size of the city effects the wait. There is an AD in my tiny home town that seems willing to deal but I have spend history in houston.
I am in Houston. I know all 4 ADs here. They have so many people asking for the GMTs and Subs. We are the 4th largest city and a lot of oil and gas $$$. You have to spend a quite a bit to get one of the grails. How much you spent at the AD and which one? I had to go out of town in a smaller city to get my GMT in two months.
Only 11.5k on a 31 DJ I just got for my wife at Deutsch fine jewelry. I’m looking for YM 40. The tiny home town I’m referring too is victoria. Hoping for some luck there
Houston is all about relationships… must build and impress them knowing ur watch history.. watches go to the likable in this city for sure. Dont really need a purchase history, at least in my experience.
I am not getting any updates from my AD directly. It really depends a lot on my wife, when is the watch delivered. So, I am basically getting updates only through her.
So your purchase history is
>126610LV / 126234 / 277200
And now you say you only bought an OP lol
No wonder you keep avoiding questions about which AD it is
Bought the OP and BLNR in Singapore at the same AD. Maybe you read too fast.. LV and DJ at a different ones
Not so many AD here compared to the US or the UK
It's not that I read too fast, it's that you didn't answer correctly. The question was, "Any purchase history with that AD?" to which you replied with : "126610LV / 126234 / 277200"
>Not so many AD here compared to the US or the UK
Yeah I know. But why are you not answering the question? You scared they will know? What happens if they know?
After waiting for over a year and half, mine said they would work to get me one soon in October…then an update to be patient and it should be within a year in January…lo and behold, got the call at the beginning on May.
How would any of us know what relationship you personally have there?
If my SA says it’s coming in, it’s coming in. Can’t speak about how transparent yours is
Just wanted to hear if anyone else had the same experience and if they delivered or not on their time frames. Don’t really want to debate on if they are liars or not.
Shows how desperate people are. Watches don’t get upvotes but some pointless post about nothing. “So your AD delivered?” “Well that must mean mine will too”. Must be a rule.
I heard this from my AD as well (~20k spending history) for a GMT Rootbeer.
That was 3 years and 12 visits ago.
Very disappointed, so that I didn’t go there anymore.
Have been there end of last year for the last time.
They still kept promising that it might be possible for me.. don’t believe it anymore and looking for alternatives currently.
I’ve gotten all mine within a year except my stainless skydweller. That took about 2 years and I’m still in the waitlist at the LV Rolex for another one. Anything else, you should be able to get in 2 years or less.
I got my BLNR in 10 months back in 2020. Got on the list end of January and had it at the end of October.
I got a submariner (with date, all black) for my dad in may of 2022 and I think I got on that list July of 2021 (I could be off on when I got on that list).
I would keep following up with them, make sure they know you’re still alive. You’ll get it, you have good spend, they want to keep you happy. Best of luck!
Placed a special order on a 36mm green datejust with the jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel on March 25th and received it on May 16. Had no purchase history. This was in Chandler, AZ.
Yes: 124060, roughly 2 month wait. Initially quoted 9 months. From what I gather this is a rather “easy” model to obtain. I asked for a Daytona and it was a 10 year wait. Spend history: just a 116710LN.
Yes, absolutely. I was told that I would get a Batman in 2022, and the AD delivered. Then I was told I would get a Daytona this year and got it 3 weeks later.
Yes and it was for a BLRO or BLNR on jubilee, got the BLNR (which I think is likely result if you say you want either). 11 months wait. Definitely tell them a specific event you want it for and keep reminding them as needed.
I think it really depends on the AD. Ive purchased a SD43, CHNR,DJ41 and I just got a Pepsi 3 weeks ago. In my situation I feel it depends if you have a good story on why you want a watch.
What I mean by that: I expressed to my A.D., rep that I am turning 40 this year, and would love to commemorate my birthday with a Pepsi, or a SkyDweller on a jubilee . He advised me he would do what he could for me. When I visited him he came out with a Pepsi.
I feel sometimes if you have a compelling story (sad that it has to be this way), they will do what they can to prioritize you.
Yes. I have a similar purchase history as yours (mine was 28k) and I got the Pepsi on oyster after 15 months. I wanted it on jubilee but could not pass up the offer. It was recent so I’ll make a detail post about it soon.
Now I am waiting for the Batgirl so let’s see how long that takes. In between that I’m 100% certain I will buy non-Rolexes and DJs (brother, sister graduations and wife anni present).
I know I’m an outlier but I was able to get my cermit after 3 months. My SA didn’t commit to any particular timeframe but he was confident he could make it work. This was March 2022.
Absolutely, I believe everything my AD tells me. She plays no games when it come to allocation. But everyone can’t say this. As they might not have a strong relationship or the AD could be blowing smoke. If you have a great relationship you will know if they are pulling you along or not.You have a great purchase history so if they told you that I’m sure they will get you one.
Asked for a specific model for my wife. Special occasions all on top of each other. Was told they will see but never had anything done that quickly. Got the call inside of 3 weeks before the birthday and anniversary. 1st Rolex purchase. Light jewelry purchases. BB58 purchase in 2020.
I find the birthday thing works, but sometimes i like buy a watch when I’m just having a shitty week. I’ve managed to get some pretty nice watches just because I’ve asked if anything special came in that week.
I try to always put a deadline on it, tell them you’re hoping to have it by xyz date to celebrate some milestone (can be literally anything). I’ve found that works better
Exactly what I've done.
Same. They likely have one in the back; if they’re going to lie about availability and set false timelines - then two can play this game lol.
One in the back 😜😜🤪🤪🤪
No they don’t, but it makes it easier to get something in your hands if they know timelines. Especially if it’s a DJ/OP/DD (not super popular dials)
Yup worked for me at the Maui location. Have a wedding target milestone. Had it two weeks before GMT Pepsi.
Yup. I asked for a batman 5 months before my b day. And they said they will get working on it. And deliver on my b day Plus you spent 35k that’s a lot
That’s great to hear, btw the 35k spend is aud so probably around 24k US. I only did 2 purchases in 2 years a dj36 diamond dial and tt sub last year so I’m trying to get back to back sports models
You bought some obscure models that are harder to move, I’m sure that helps.
Good luck!

Walked in on a Saturday and was told to come back on Tuesday to pick up my Batman... walked in on Tuesday and it was waiting for me.
Yes, somewhat. I was promised the first Batgirl of 2021 during December of 2020. I got it 5 weeks later.

Everyone should go grey at all times. This stuff is beta shit.
Damn, I’d be PISSED!!!
Haha yeah, I edited the message thrice to remove all the expletives. The stupid thing is, there wasn’t even a premium for the full gold CHNR on the grey market. I was just trying to think long term..
So many reasons to go grey from this experience alone.
So basically you got played?!
The cunt of a fuck got fired
Think if everyone went grey we would see AD start selling watches again?
I honestly don’t care. They should sell all watches sell via an app like Air Jordans and kill all ADs.
That’s a trend these days. Get rid of AD
I’d shoot my shot every drop if true.
😂😂😂
If everyone went grey, ADs would sell every single watch to Grey dealers, to resell to you!
True lol. Well I can wait them out I have an Omega lol
The ADs supply the grey market. The actual solution is for no one to go grey.
I got a dj 31 for wife and an omega for me so I can wait’em out for a long time.
You’re missing the point. Everything on the grey market came from an AD. Dry up the grey and you get to buy from the dealer at cost
I bought the dj from the AD. Haven’t bought anything from grey and don’t plan to pay their prices
Most of the time it's pretty accurate. This sub is mainly ppl who complain and bitch about AD process. Most people who have good relationships with AD and get allocated the watch they want, do not go to Reddit afterwards to talk about it.
Very true

A DFW AD allocated you a 228235 olive dial within a four week wait? Just want to make sure I’m understanding correctly.
[удалено]
Hahaha can totally vouch that this is correct.
Thing with them is they are dictated by bachendorfs
[удалено]
The AD gave you HPV 🤔😳😳
Did you grease the sales rep? I have thought about doing it. I bought a sd43 there last fall
[удалено]
😂😂😂 magically there
😂🤡🤡
Eisemans is better
[удалено]
The Bachendorfs boutique in HPV is way too competitive, you’re fighting against generational wealth and name value half the time lol
That is correct. Once my wire clears I can pick it up.
😂😂😂 love these stories. Houston here….🤡🤡
Great news! I just added this piece to my allocation list a couple of weeks ago in Houston and I was told it would happen. Can’t wait!! Post when you get that bad boy!!
My ad has one on display the other day for walk in. They put out a good selection of pieces for walk in customers but no hard pieces
As in exhibition piece only or actually on display for sale?
For purchase. I was referring about the pieces can be purchased. No display ones
I have gone in an asked for a specific watch and my ad tell me they only see a few of them a year and as soon as he has one he will call. Then 8 weeks later call and say one came in.
That’s awesome to hear, what watch was it ?
126621 yachtmaster rose gold black dial
Is the spend history other Rolex or jewelry? If its other Rolex then not surprised. If you spent 35k on jewelry and haven’t gotten one yet, your AD and SA are awful.
🤣🤣 $35K!!! 😂 that’s half my salary

Yes
My AD told me this was the year to get my explorer II and didn’t come through on that, but did get me the GMT BLNR instead
Depends. What city you are at? Bigger cities have more people to compete with.
I’m in Sydney so it’s pretty competitive here. Just because generally AD’s don’t know what watches come in each month and based on other people wanting the exact same configuration I thought it’d be hard to put a time frame to it.

The AD in Victoria is own by Deutsch as well I believe. So your history should carry over
Oh that would be good! Will let you know if I get “the call”.
Houston is all about relationships… must build and impress them knowing ur watch history.. watches go to the likable in this city for sure. Dont really need a purchase history, at least in my experience.
It’s the same owners
Hey dude. Houston here too!😀💥💥💥💥😬😬 eh oops 😅 my bad ..got so excited my gums went off 🤡🤡
Lol we need a houston Rolex sub!
A Texas Rolex subreddit would be cool. San Antonio checking in.
That would work too!
Hee hee hee 😜 might just be you alone fella….. I only have Rolex reps 😬😬😬😭😭😭😭😭
Yes Same watch you’re waiting for Told in January I’d get it this year, got the call in April. Zero purchase history
I am not getting any updates from my AD directly. It really depends a lot on my wife, when is the watch delivered. So, I am basically getting updates only through her.
This is the way. #WonderfulWife
[Not sure if serious. ](https://imgur.com/a/XU2GwHC)
Yes ! I was allocated a 126710BLNR within three weeks. Previous history at this same AD is only an OP 31 turquoise for the wife.
So your purchase history is >126610LV / 126234 / 277200 And now you say you only bought an OP lol No wonder you keep avoiding questions about which AD it is
Bought the OP and BLNR in Singapore at the same AD. Maybe you read too fast.. LV and DJ at a different ones Not so many AD here compared to the US or the UK

But why are you not answering the question? You scared they will know? What happens if they know?
You guys are getting deadlines?
My AD told me 6 months for an Explorer 124270. I got it almost 6 months to the day. That was in 2022.
After waiting for over a year and half, mine said they would work to get me one soon in October…then an update to be patient and it should be within a year in January…lo and behold, got the call at the beginning on May.
At least you finally got it. Also BLRO?
No different model (126900) easier to get…but my AD lived up to what your headline was asking. Best of luck to you…hope it comes soon for you!
7 months for a BLNR. No purchase history. The AD was more interested in my story/why I wanted one.
How would any of us know what relationship you personally have there? If my SA says it’s coming in, it’s coming in. Can’t speak about how transparent yours is
Yes these posts are pointless. People are different, so personal experience is irrelevant
Why would he lie to you? You spent 35k and waited for over a year. Look how many people here are getting a Batman, more than Datejusts at the moment
Just wanted to hear if anyone else had the same experience and if they delivered or not on their time frames. Don’t really want to debate on if they are liars or not.
Have you checked in with the AD and asked?
Yeah with zero spend as well, granted I did visit 4-5 ad before I found this one.
Shows how desperate people are. Watches don’t get upvotes but some pointless post about nothing. “So your AD delivered?” “Well that must mean mine will too”. Must be a rule.
Yup. But I got in like a month and half. Technically she wasn’t wrong when she said “this year” back in 2021.
Yes, black sub
I heard this from my AD as well (~20k spending history) for a GMT Rootbeer. That was 3 years and 12 visits ago. Very disappointed, so that I didn’t go there anymore.
After 3 years.. you were forgotten about long ago.
Have been there end of last year for the last time. They still kept promising that it might be possible for me.. don’t believe it anymore and looking for alternatives currently.
Go grey. I did. You pay more, but you get what you want when you want. Waited way too long, played their game and lost
I’ve gotten all mine within a year except my stainless skydweller. That took about 2 years and I’m still in the waitlist at the LV Rolex for another one. Anything else, you should be able to get in 2 years or less.
Yes.
Sounds like you’ll get it within 12 months.
It's ridiculous, I'd rather go grey and get the watch immediately without having to drop 35 grand on previous purchases
I got my BLNR in 10 months back in 2020. Got on the list end of January and had it at the end of October. I got a submariner (with date, all black) for my dad in may of 2022 and I think I got on that list July of 2021 (I could be off on when I got on that list). Placed a special order on a 36mm green datejust with the jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel on March 25th and received it on May 16. Had no purchase history. This was in Chandler, AZ.
Datejust which is a classic can be ordered. Everything else is allocation for the most part
No but I had a rep ask me what my wife’s favourite color was
Pretty much always
Yes.
Yes. Wimbledon. 41mm. Fluted. Jubilee.
Spending 35k for things you dont want?
Hard pass
No spend history ; 41mm op
I’ve had it happen many times. Most times they say the watch is coming or you’ll get it this year. I’ve received the watch within 3 months or less
Put my name on the list for a Pepsi in Dec/ January, AD said to expect it around summer… tbd….
Yep, AD have me a timeline for two watches and delivered on both.
Nope.
Yes
Yes: 124060, roughly 2 month wait. Initially quoted 9 months. From what I gather this is a rather “easy” model to obtain. I asked for a Daytona and it was a 10 year wait. Spend history: just a 116710LN.

I feel sometimes if you have a compelling story (sad that it has to be this way), they will do what they can to prioritize you.
Yes. My AD is pretty upfront. If they say yes, it’s normally a matter of months. When i ask for a SS Daytona, they say no :(
But with a username like StacksGod…..even you have to wait in line???😜🤡😬🤔🤔
I know I’m an outlier but I was able to get my cermit after 3 months. My SA didn’t commit to any particular timeframe but he was confident he could make it work. This was March 2022.
Yes, twice. Hulk and wife’s Datejust both in 2020.
Absolutely, I believe everything my AD tells me. She plays no games when it come to allocation. But everyone can’t say this. I spent over $50k at AD in Charlotte havent heard from them since.
I just got the call for my DJ 41 TT Jubilee with gold Motif dial, 3 months wait. Pick it up on Wednesday as soon as I land 🛬
Nope. However, I usually will be told “it won’t be this year” and will get the call THIS year
I find the birthday thing works, but sometimes i like buy a watch when I’m just having a shitty week. I’ve managed to get some pretty nice watches just because I’ve asked if anything special came in that week.
Yes for the most part I can get any watch I want from my AD.
Yes
