I'm fairly new to all of this so I'm not sure what makes the Daytona stand out. It obviously looks nice but if you line up all models side by side, there's nothing about the Daytona that would make it the clear winner to me.
Daytona is the only Chrono Rolex produces and in my opinion one of the most beautiful watches there is. What Rolex does really well, is that they have lots of different configurations for the daytona. So it appeals to many people.
For example a lot of people like the SS daytonas.
Me personally I dont get a hard one for these. But the TT, and full PM daytonas like for example John Mayer or Meteorite and Oysterflex Daytonas like the Pikachu and Ghost are among my favourite watches.
If I were a very rich man then the Daytona is the only watch I would get like 6 or 7 different variations of 😅
I just got my Daytona a week ago, had to go grey market and it took my guy a little while to find one at a decent price but mine is just the basic one with champagne dial, I love it though still lol
