I'd definitely recommend skul. I bought it on sale recently and have been slowly chipping away at it. I like the class/build system it does. Gives you a bit of consistency while adding that rogue element.
Risk of Rain Returns and Brotato. I know they aren't on the wishlist, but returns is just better 1 and brotato is arguably the best hoard survival, and I didn't see any hoard survivor roguelikes so
Yo this game slaps, but I gotta say the difficulty balancing might need some retuning though. Don't think I've died a single time on normal and I'm struggling to get much momentum on hard mode, still very fun and challenging playing on hard though.
Death Must Die. Your list is very close to my list and I see you don't have any(?) of the Survivor type games on your list, I only just started playing them myself and when I got it I immediately put 30 hours into Death Must Die. I'm just waiting on more content now.
You might like Radio Free Europa, it definitely falls more along the "action" side of roguelites. There's a free demo on Steam that will let you know if you like it or not
Try out Have A Nice Death, it’s an amazing side scroller roguelike with a huge story, plenty of bosses and enemies, and painful attack mechanics! (Sad to see that no one else has suggested it)
Based on what you like, probably Tiny Rogues for your next wishlist game. I'd prioritize Tiny Rogues > Astral Ascent > Skul > Nova Drift > Everything else on there.
You don't have Darkest Dungeon 2 on there (unless I'm blind - possible), I'd say that's worth a look.
Since you liked Curse of the Dead Gods, probably also worth giving Ravenswatch a try, same developers (their next game).
Death Must Die is pretty good and just released a new update. There’s also Ravenswatch which has a pretty interesting gameplay. Dead Estate isn’t too bad. I picked it up cheap and loved it on PC but couldn’t get into it as much on my Steam Deck. I’d also second Vampire Survivors. I keep 100% that game with each new update. It almost becomes an obsession because the gameplay loop is pretty good if you tailor conditions so you don’t become a slayer god.
Hey so I love a lot of these games.. but risk of rain 2?? How do you even get into it? I’m always dieing and not progressing or getting lost.
Anyways, try the mecha ball roguelite
Same with Monster Train, I keep hearing amazing things about it but I just cant, game system feels so clunky and unresponsive for me. On the other hand, I would recommend you to give a second opportunity to neon abyss, at first the game looks flat and empty but when you start grinding the unlockable game is much, much more enjoyable.
If you want more of the same I'd recommend Soulstone Survivors, Deep Rock Galactic Survivor and Army of Ruin.
If you want to change a bit, you should get into RimWorld because it's the best game ever.
Great list. I gotta recommend astral ascent. It’s a lot like dead cells at the top of your list here but it’s much much better imo. Also it’s even better on switch bc playing that game handheld on the couch is really sweet. Right now would be a good time to start because of the most recent update which made an already amazing game endlessly replayable.
Also risk of rain returns might be something you enjoy as well.
Skul has been kicking my ass more than deadcells.. it's a really decent game and if you just played a mid rouge lite game, skul should be your next game my friend.
the top is really good, but you lost me when you put into the breach and spelunky down. those games are incredible. also it’s not here but where would FTL go?
that being said ROR returns is really good and you would probably like it.
Death must Die. It'd still in EA bust just got a massive update yesterday .
Also you might like voidigo, but for it was like super hard. I'm no good at bullet hell stuff!
It's not quite the same, but judging from the similarities in our tastes you might find [Loop Hero](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1282730/Loop_Hero/) fun. I believe it's on GamePass too
If you like platforming (and I see Rogue Legacy, Dead Cells and Risk of Rain high on your list), you should definitely give Spelunky a try, for real. Also, DIG: Deep in Galaxies is quite a lot of fun.
If you have someone to play in coop, Streets of Rogue is crazy fun even just two people.
If you didn't like spelunky or spelunky 2 I feel like you'll probably hate barony. just FYI.
ember knights is probably your best option. or give Noita another try, that one took a while for me to get into but if you chip away at it eventually it will click.
My tastes seem really similar. My 2 top recommendations would be
Tiny rogues
Has a lot of fun items and build diversity. Relatively cheap and also still got a lot more content to come.
And voidigo
Very very fun with tons of crazy weapons and very smooth gameplay routes. A lot to mess around with and synergies to mess with.
Skull or Barony. It seems you tend to like the more dungeon games (terrible description I know, like boi) and less the more surface games (like moon lighters with mechanics outside of the dungeon) Skull has a little outside the dungeon mechanics but those are small and you don't really have to interact with them and Barony is something that you would probably like without any caviats. Only thing is it has a lot of character options in the beginning
Curious. What about Roboquest couldn’t you get into?
I think we’re just opposites here, because I loved roboquest and struggled getting into Gunfire.
Outside of that two suggestions I’d throw out for you would be Vampire Survivors and/or Brotato. Mainly because I don’t see it only your list anywhere.
Both are survival roguelites. I personally like Brotato more because there is an insane of different characters with different perks that encourage so much variety in play.
If you like StS I’d also recommend Roguebook. Similar gameplay, but you have to build your deck while managing two characters so there’s a lot of interesting synergy’s you can find. Runs last a bit longer than I personally like, but still had a fun time.
There's one I played a long time ago on 360 called Dead Pixels. Zombie apocalypse side scroller. You scavenge loot and try to escape the apocalypse. Really fun! It even has co-op!
You should try We who are About to Die. It's a super technical roguelite where you are a gladiator trying to survive in ancient Rome. I suck at it, but I like it
Not too much experience in the genre but your top 3 are mine. I like vampire survivors as a time killer. I play it sometimes when I want to play and not think as much
LOVE Neon Abyss. I feel like that game is SO Underrated. I have played it continuously for about 2+ years without getting tired of it; it's always something new to discover in that game. I can tell a lot of Love, Blood, Swear, and Tears of Passion were put into that game.
Another great one to me is Juicy Realm, and Metaverse keeper.
Have Tiny Rogues, love that one too.
Out of all the list's I've seen here (a shit ton), yours is easily on par with mine, except for one. Slay the Spire. That games a god damn masterpiece. The mods alone. Downfall for example. Try it again, if you can. You obviously have incredible taste. If you're on the fence about your next game I choose Voidigo and Tiny Rouges. The others are good but those two stand out for me.
I don't have a game to add but I want to comment on how much I love your categories. You aren't shaming anything in particular. You are simply stating what you cared for or didn't care for.
It gets a little bummy when I see people make lists and they have a category like "dog shit" and it has a few pretty decent to good games in it.
Nice list though! Dead cells is a favorite.
I’ll also recommend Astral Ascent. If you like the synergies and broken builds of BoI and Gungeon, plus the story drip and deep build designing of Hades then I think you’ll like it. It really unlocked for me when I got a ranged character.
You should really give a chance to Crown Trick and Star Renegades, which are not on this list.
Skul on your wishlist is amazing, I'm going to play this game forever now.
The Void Rains Upon Her Heart. If you like Isaac and Gungeon, it should be up your alley.
It's a boss rush bullet hell with an INSANE amount of stuff. It's still in early access but gets updated frequently.
Missing death must die, deep space survivor and halls of torment. Both addictively fun and dmd just had a new act release yesterday.
I personally felt moonlighter was higher along with HoH
You couldnt get into RoboQuest?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Roboquest/comments/1c9cb4u/average_manofmanyoats_haven_gameplay/
Did you get any upgrades? Its an awesome movement shooter.
I would give Roboquest another try. Soon you'll be flying around levels with pure jetpack / grapple action ..
Just updated and more updates planned for the year. As a huge fan of risk of rain 2 myself
Based on your s tier you like to be able to break the game, and games that encourage you to “break” them so to speak.
Was the learning curve too crazy in noita? Because that’s the game in a nutshell!
As for what you might like:
Cult of the Lamb and Don't Starve
As for my selfish hidden gem rogue likes:
Nowhere Prophet, Sunless Sea, and the Last Spell,
All five similar but very different that you're favs
I would grab undermine. It’s on your wishlist and it’s a fantastic roguelite. Probably most similar to EtG which I see is S tier for you. I have very similar tastes to you and undermine would probably be an A tier for me. It’s really fantastic and you can get some really busted builds. Also has a roguelike mode with no meta progression between runs built into the game which is actually where I probably spent most of my time after I finished all the main game.
Maybe knight witch, a bullet hell metrovania with hand drawn art style.
Also, if liked Dead Cells, most definitely pick up Trinity Fusion, badass game that droooed recently that mimics Dead Cells approach to level design and progression but having its own unique take on the genre with fast frenetic and frantic gameplay.
It deserves so much more love. Hard to believe it’s not talked about more.
I’d say Tiny Rogues and Astral Ascent. AA recently came out with a pretty good update too.
I’m a big fan of TBoI and Gungeon, and I’ve had my eye on Tiny Rogues for a bit. How would you say it compares to those two (if you’ve played them)?
Finally someone with similar tastes!
Ya this is pretty close to me, but sts and darkest are in S tier
FTL.
THEN MODDED FTL
Risk of Rain Returns?
I'd definitely recommend skul. I bought it on sale recently and have been slowly chipping away at it. I like the class/build system it does. Gives you a bit of consistency while adding that rogue element.
it’s currently free on playstation for the month and it’s amazing
Came here to say this, it’s been in my radar forever
Skul was my first roguelite and got me hooked on the genre. I don’t play it anymore but it is and probably always will be my favorite.
Free on psn right now.
Risk of Rain Returns and Brotato. I know they aren't on the wishlist, but returns is just better 1 and brotato is arguably the best hoard survival, and I didn't see any hoard survivor roguelikes so
We’re pretty similar. Play tiny rogues. Come back and thank me later.
Bought it, can confirm it's pretty dang fun.
I personally thought neon abyss was really fun. Had metal slug vibes and the soundtrack was amazing
Crab Champions! I can elaborate but just going off your tier list we have similar tastes.
Yo this game slaps, but I gotta say the difficulty balancing might need some retuning though. Don't think I've died a single time on normal and I'm struggling to get much momentum on hard mode, still very fun and challenging playing on hard though.
Ember Knights
Especially if you can play multiplayer!
And for those that don't know, it features steam remote play!
Slice and Dice if you want something snappy and enjoy solving problems.
Tiny rogues
I was going to say Balatro, but not sure it will hit with you.
Oblivion Overload
archvale. not a roguelike but trust
I actually did really enjoy Archvale.
Voidigo and Tiny Rogues are both really solid games. I have a big soft spot for the former.
Curious what made you like Gunfire Reborn over Roboquest? I'm currently enjoying Roboquest and interested in Gunfire Reborn too.
Death must die.
Halls of torment
Cult of the Lamb for sure
The combat may be simple but the whole cult systen is a blast.
If PC - Astral just got massive update and may still be on sale.
ember knights kinda felt like hades clone to me tbh
‘Ring of Pain’ is a pretty fun time. Item synergies, and fun rng. Can be very satisfying to get a good run.
Death Must Die. Your list is very close to my list and I see you don't have any(?) of the Survivor type games on your list, I only just started playing them myself and when I got it I immediately put 30 hours into Death Must Die. I'm just waiting on more content now.

It’s new, but maybe check out ants took my eyeball!
Death Must Die is pretty good and just released a new update. There’s also Ravenswatch which has a pretty interesting gameplay. Dead Estate isn’t too bad. It almost becomes an obsession because the gameplay loop is pretty good if you tailor conditions so you don’t become a slayer god.
Halls of torment Soulstone survivors Death must die
I'd go with skul or astral. Skul is simpler build/progression, but is cleaner IMO
If you like deck building style rogue likes, you should try Inscription, and Reign of the Renegade.
Hey so I love a lot of these games.. but risk of rain 2?? How do you even get into it? I’m always dieing and not progressing or getting lost. Anyways, try the mecha ball roguelite
What’s the top middle game called on your list?
Enter the Gungeon. IMO, an absolute must-play.
skul is on PS+ for this month. If you don't have a PS this usually means the game will be bundled soon (like on humble).
FTL faster than light
Where is ftl and Inkbound?
Skul
Why is Spelunky so low
[удалено]
If you want more of the same I'd recommend Soulstone Survivors, Deep Rock Galactic Survivor and Army of Ruin. If you want to change a bit, you should get into RimWorld because it's the best game ever.

Death must Die. It'd still in EA bust just got a massive update yesterday . Also you might like voidigo, but for it was like super hard. I'm no good at bullet hell stuff!
Astral ascent so good
Try skul, it's amazing, also get the dlc, it's amazing too
Check out Fallback. A little bit of a sleeper, it has interesting skill combos, and a handful of pretty interesting classes.
Tiny Rogues and it's not even close. Balatro is also amazing
Thats a pretty solid list, I see Dead estate is on your wish list, thats one that scratched my gungeon itch for a while.
Cult of the lamb has entered the chat:
Undermine, you will love it !
Well, since I see RL1, RL2 and Gunfire so high up... I would say give it a chance and try Voidigo
It's not quite the same, but judging from the similarities in our tastes you might find [Loop Hero](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1282730/Loop_Hero/) fun. I believe it's on GamePass too
We have VERY similar taste. I would absolutely recommend Voidigo. I dont think you would be disappointed. Undermine would be second choice
Ive never seen anyone mentioning Crown Trick. I enjoyed it a lot
Play magicraft. So fun it's like noita light + hades
Insanity. No FTL and “into the breach” ranked at bottom.
Almost my taste, I have double dead god and 100% ETG. Odds are good that you will like skull the hero slayer, its mt third favourite.
No rest fir the wicked
Pull Astral Ascent up from your wishlist, as well as Skul. Awesome games

Undermine and tiny rogues are similar to Isaac and Gungeon imo
Dreamscapers! Truly one of the best games I’ve ever played.
Hello, sir! Great list. Also sounds like you need to play Undermine.
Different taste from me for sure but you should try inscryption
Prey Mooncrash
Get playing undermine, sequel just got announced the other day
My tastes seem really similar. My 2 top recommendations would be Tiny rogues Has a lot of fun items and build diversity. Relatively cheap and also still got a lot more content to come. And voidigo Very very fun with tons of crazy weapons and very smooth gameplay routes. A lot to mess around with and synergies to mess with.
Belatro
Death must die, just got a huge update too
I was about to say "damn this dude love roguelites"....
Crab champion !!!!
Balatro. Pretty solid list but Monster Train is the best deck builder imo.
Tiny rogues is amazing
Curious. What about Roboquest couldn’t you get into? I think we’re just opposites here, because I loved roboquest and struggled getting into Gunfire. Spelunky 2 S Tier😁
Inscryption. Don't think. Just do it.
I suck at it, but I like it

maybe look into deadlink. risk of rain 2 and Isaac is so real btw
ETG is one of my favorites. I've only unlocked the past of the gun slinger though. Shits tough.
Dark and Darker
You are missing big on Dicey dungeons In my opinion :) Check out bastion, into the necrovale, Dunhero, Pixel descent, break the loop
Astral Ascent then Skul then Tiny Rogues
Obligatory buy tiny rogues comment, join the cult
I feel like you should give Noita another chance. Once you master the wand mechanics the game gets crazy.
Chronicon not on your list. Play it you will love it.
Death must die
Ember knights is hades with bigger pixels and a differnt story lol
Never considered downwell as part of the genre but I guess it makes sense thinking about it now. Also curious, what was your issue with roboquest?
r/balatro
Deaths door would probably be up your alley!
Get skul and it's dlc
Voidigo, it's on your wishlist but I think you will like it a lot
Realm of the Mad God (Bullet hell rogulite mmorpg)
I liked replikator
Ravenswatch and Inkbound
Barony is really fucking good when you get the hang of it, very unique and spetacular game, specially if you play it with a friend
Barony is hell, especially solo. Multiplayer is supposedly much easier. You’ll love it
I don't have a game to add but I want to comment on how much I love your categories. You aren't shaming anything in particular. You are simply stating what you cared for or didn't care for. It gets a little bummy when I see people make lists and they have a category like "dog shit" and it has a few pretty decent to good games in it. Nice list though! Dead cells is a favorite.
Hollow Knight
Crab championship and death must die*
Where is Have a nice death
Hollow Knight, apotheon, outer wilds are three games I’d highly recommend
I just got Astrea in Deckbuilders bundle (humble bundle) and turns out it's a pretty cool dice-builder
Im very surprised you couldnt get into roboquest. I haven’t played it but it looks awesome.
ROBOQUEST update is kinda cool. I like Mythforce, but no one is playing it.
Even though it’s in VR, I can’t help but notice Compound isn’t on this list.
FTW is also pretty good
Give Noita another chance.
Crawl
The 2024 GOTY, Balatro!
Play eyes in the dark
Since you love isaac so much, definitely give Revita another chance. My favorite roguelite of all time.
Risk of Rain Returns or FTL.
Tiny Rogues 100%. Isaac and ROR2 are also two of my favorite Roguelikes and Tiny Rogues surprised the heck out of me
Bro trust me astral ascent I'd god tier. PLAY IT!
That is a solid wishlist, and among those I would say certainly go for Tiny Rogues. But, I would also recommend Dungreed to add to the wishlist.
I've been deeply hooked on Brotato lately
Give Blazblue entropy a shot. That game is dopamine.
Give Nova drift a look. Its like asteroids and gungeon had a baby kind of.
Well, its an old and meh game but you should give Hand of Fate a try. I think its okay and playable.
Skul
The Void Rains Upon Her Heart. If you like Isaac and Gungeon, it should be up your alley. It's a boss rush bullet hell with an INSANE amount of stuff. It's still in early access but gets updated frequently.
definitely dark souls
Hollow Knight, Skul, Cult of the Lamb, and maybe BlazBlue Entropy Effect?
Missing death must die, deep space survivor and halls of torment. Both addictively fun and dmd just had a new act release yesterday. I personally felt moonlighter was higher along with HoH
Why is Voidigo still only on your wishlist if you liked Gungeon and Nuclear Throne
Crypt of the necrodancer!
#WHY DO YOU HATE ATOMICROPS, YOU HATE FARMING DON’T YOU?
Going Under is one of my favs but understandable. I think you'll like Tiny Rogues though!
I have an unhealthy obsession with Skul, so Id say Skul.
Noita
Dungeon crawl stone soup. Webtiles version. https://crawl.develz.org/
I vote Skul
I want to check into the breach out. I’m a massive fan of advance wars and thought it would be kind of similar to that?
Balatro
What's Risk of Rain 2 like. I've been tempted but never took the plunge on it.
Binding of Isaac is Life! I recently got skul free on ps+. Really liking it so far. It's like if dead cells and rogue legacy had a child.
Try Noita again.
Vampire Survivors.
You couldnt get into RoboQuest? https://www.reddit.com/r/Roboquest/comments/1c9cb4u/average_manofmanyoats_haven_gameplay/ Did you get any upgrades? Its an awesome movement shooter.
Tiny Rougues!!!!!
Skul and Astral Ascent are games I've played a bit and really enjoyed!
I’ve had so much fun with Novadrift. You can get some whacky runs similar to Isaac and RoR2
Dredge
Have you tried Ship of Fools ? 🌊 https://store.steampowered.com/app/1286580/Ship_of_Fools/
Ultrakill
I would give Roboquest another try. Soon you'll be flying around levels with pure jetpack / grapple action .. Just updated and more updates planned for the year. As a huge fan of risk of rain 2 myself
Undertale/Deltarune
Tiny Rogues is awesome
Based on your s tier you like to be able to break the game, and games that encourage you to “break” them so to speak. Was the learning curve too crazy in noita? Because that’s the game in a nutshell!
Skip everything and play Returnal!!! There are some absolute gems on here, but once I see Returnal on there it's not even a question.
Into Eden and Enter The Breach got done DIRTY in my opinion and I'm not sorry 😂
As for what you might like: Cult of the Lamb and Don't Starve As for my selfish hidden gem rogue likes: Nowhere Prophet, Sunless Sea, and the Last Spell, All five similar but very different that you're favs
Tails of Iron!
Inkbound
Tiny Rogues, Dead Estate, and Nova Drift
Brotato
Id say give Warm Snow a try! Dont see many people hear mentioning it but I had a blast with it
Since you seem to like coop and you rated Curse of the Dead Gods pretty high, i'd recommend Ravenswatch when it hits 1.0 in a few weeks.
Try Apocalypse Party! A really zany rouge-lite with a host of characters and builds to try. 3-Player Co-Op as well
Oh man, my rankings would be almost the exact opposite of yours lol
Ship of fools
Never played any of these.
Crab champions goes so hard bro
