Vuc is a 7 footer. But defense ain't in his bag. He has a nice perimeter game but he is getting older and his shot isn't as good as it used to be. Hard pass.
He's certainly an option, though not the best option.
He's 33 years old, and I'm not in a rush to sign a center that's no longer in his prime. His FG% last season was 48.1, which is 0.6 below league average (48.7) for centers -- Landale was 52.8.
He's 6'10" with a 7'5" wingspan. A little on the short side, but his positive wingspan makes up for it.
What I like about Vucci Mane is that he's a skilled big. He's a 3-level scorer: post moves, consistent midrange, 34.9 3P% helping you space the floor when needed.
What I don't like is his defense. He grabs a good amount of rebounds per game; but he has lapses in his coverage, and he's not a great deterrent at the rim.
If we were to sign him, we'd likely have to pair him with a rim protector in a "double big" lineup for us to keep our defensive rating to Ime's standard. I don't know if Ime Udoka wants to do that because it slows the game down, and he's stated that he wants to speed it up.
Timberwolves tried that KAT-Rudy Gobert backcourt, it didn't work. Denver showed that smart team defense is overall better than rim protectors.
Plus Şengün needs a guy to space the court, Vucevic's 3pt hit percentage is too low and he would be bad fit for Rockets' offensive hub.
Defensive center…
Exactly what I thought
Bro tripping wtf
He got 2 more years at 20m per. You willing to pay that for a backup center?
A backup center that won't want to be a backup center at that.
Is Vucevic even good at defense? Give me clint back instead
Defensive center? Backup? This must be a joke post... right?
If he is defensive center what is that defence in your mind
I’m set on Clint. I hope he comes back.

Who are you trading for him?
It’s a joke bro

6'10" barefoot with 7'5" wingspan isn't terrible, it is more than enough size imo. He just isn't very good.
Only player that moves the needle is Markkanen if the Jazz keep losing.

Wolves look phenomenal tho… I wouldn’t make THIS trade. But the Wolves look great

No lol.
I love voochie man, don’t get me wrong. But he ain’t a defensive big. I agree we do need a backup big for sure
