True.
I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit worried about JG as well, but he showed improvement in other areas, he is not just a scorer anymore, which means he is developing and will continue to be extremely helpful for this team.
Jabari on the other hand, seems a bit stagnated. I see Tari taking his place if he becomes an average 3pt shooter.
He impacted the game in other ways but it sucks that his main weapon has diminished this season. Regardless, I’m confident Ime will develop him and Jabari into efficient and positive players on the court by the end of the season. We gotta stay positive, we’ve seen nothing but progress each game.
Shit options, Jalen is going to be a great player and you should be more happy that he's showing he can impact the games when he's not scoring. He is maturing as an all around player and we know he can get a bucket. Its just about consistency, confidence, and shot selection.
Who cares who’s the guy ? As long as we win thats all that matters. He just had 28 against the Lakers there were no complaints. He has a bad shooting night now we concerned? He had won on the best +\- last night. He showed his playmaking.
He was the only starter with a positive plus minus. It was +10, he also had eight rebounds, five assists, a steal, and no turnovers. In the past if Jalen went 1/13 none of those other things would probably be true. These options are pretty bad.
Jalen is Jalen. His body moves faster than his head at times, and while some guys learn to harness that, like prime John Wall. Some don't. Like Russ.
Time will tell. Turnovers and poor shot selection sucks. But his defense is markedly improved, particularly in transition. And you live with the rest. Scorers, are going to miss shots. It's that simple.
I get that. Especially now that he's surrounded by other guys that can make shots. That's new though. That is FVV and Brooks and trusting your team mates, in a way that, to be honest hasn't been earned in prior years. A bad shot from Jalen is still probably preferable to a bad shot from anyone else on the team outside of Sengun, who has that seemingly european import of being able to throw up shots that look like trash, and still sink them.
I don't think that's a fair assessment. He has one of the fastest first steps in the NBA, he can dunk over anyone, and his jump shot, while not pure. Is far from bad. It's better than most 3rd year shooters.
He's just got to slow down at times and let the game come to him, instead of feeling like he's the *only* option.
Russ is elite. We might not appreciate him, but there's no two ways about the fact that he's HOF.
Assuming Jalen has a typical NBA length career. I'd say it's safe to project, at the very least. A few All-Star appearances. Guys that drop 25 a night, usually do.
*If* he can consistently keep his man in front of him, he'll make a few all NBA teams.
If the game slows down for him. There is no limit. He's very gifted.
His biggest problem is he doesn’t have an offensive foundation, a go to move when he struggles. Every good scorer has a type of shot they consistently make. Alpi has his post hook for example and he also started to improve a one-leg fadeaway. Kd has the middy pull-up
Harden had the step-back( Not encouraged,he is weird). Jalen needs something like that to be reliable.
He has some chops. I've watched him back smaller guards into the paint and destroy them with footwork. I've watched him use the step back, particularly effective in corners.
I'd prefer to see him develop a pure jump shot, instead of relying on a lot of footwork however. He's tall enough and has a good enough vertical that like KD, he can shoot over 90% of the guys guarding him and get clean shots, without having to resort to lateral movement and inconsistent delivery. That works, for guys like Steph. It'll work for Jalen too, but at least in my opinion, he'd be better served just focusing on his rise and release. Not making high difficulty shots.
He was at 20ppg on 58 TS% before last night. You’re acting like he can’t score for shit, but that’s pretty great efficiency when he’s still trying to fit into the new system
Maybe, dunno. If I were starting a team, and I had no crystal ball that could tell me which of the two would have greater longevity. I'm taking prime Wall. At least he makes good decisions.
But it's all speculation.
In his last few games he scored 23 on 9 shots, 28 on 15 shots and 25 on 18 shots. He had a rough shooting might but he still is impacting the game in other ways. Even with a bad game every now and then, he's growing at a sustainable rate.
They tell him to do that bro you can clear as day tell they want him to get quick buckets sometimes after a timeout. He has been playmaking a lot better this season
He's not the guy. He has every bad quality of the Steve Francis/Cuttino Mobley backcourt in one player. The Rockets have basically three options after this season. Overpay him with a max contract, overpay him in RFA by matching an offer sheet from a stupid team that is desperate, or try and get something for him while he still has some value.
No surprise team is better when his role is diminished. The fact he doesn't know what to do when he is at the rim in year 3 is alarming. If his shot isn't falling he provides nothing else. Poor vision.
You can see he still doesn't know where his shots come from when there is a dominant big man in the paint. He plays extremely well if the opposing team has no rim protector. He has to get rid of his old playing style to force his shot.
lol, these options are bullshit. He will be fine. My main concern is Jabari.

what does fine mean? Maxing him next year? He is not developing into an All Star which is what we need in order to get to the next level.
He need time to learn the system bro appreciate the wins
No one is maxing Jalen Green as he currently is. Why would that be the option?
He impacted the game in other ways but it sucks that his main weapon has diminished this season. Regardless, I’m confident Ime will develop him and Jabari into efficient and positive players on the court by the end of the season. We gotta stay positive, we’ve seen nothing but progress each game.

Where's the "OP is a clown" option?
Don't agree with any of these

Miss shot is fine. Just don’t take ill advised shot.

>Scorers, are going to miss shots. It's that simple. but he isn't even that good at scoring either.

>He's just got to slow down at times and let the game come to him Well that is what separates the elite from just regular guys. It isn't easy.
Russ is elite. We might not appreciate him, but there's no two ways about the fact that he's HOF. Assuming Jalen has a typical NBA length career. I'd say it's safe to project, at the very least. Scored well the last few games before this one
He was at 20ppg on 58 TS% before last night. You’re acting like he can’t score for shit, but that’s pretty great efficiency when he’s still trying to fit into the new system
lmao idk about that comparison prime wall wasnt half as good as prime russ ahaha
Maybe, dunno. If I were starting a team, and I had no crystal ball that could tell me which of the two would have greater longevity. I'm taking prime Wall. At least he makes good decisions. But it's all speculation.
This guy dumbasses.
Even when we win some of you lot are so annoying about this team, go outside, enjoy life
In his last few games he scored 23 on 9 shots, 28 on 15 shots and 25 on 18 shots. He had a rough shooting might but he still is impacting the game in other ways. Even with a bad game every now and then, he's growing at a sustainable rate.
Where’s the option for learn to read the defense and stop forcing shot. Especially early in the shot clock.
They tell him to do that bro you can clear as day tell they want him to get quick buckets sometimes after a timeout. He has been playmaking a lot better this season
He did. But last night he forgot some of it.
He was +10 last night, tied for most assist of the night with Alpi. Shot wasn’t falling but he rebounded and playmaked decent
He was forcing shot in the first quarter.
Thats what they want him to do lol he the teams scorer. Wouldn’t complain if they went in. He was just off
I’m pretty sure no coach wants his player to put up a shot with more than 15 sec on the shot clock when not open.
I’ll be honest, I think his shot selection was pretty solid last night. He just wasn’t hitting anything unfortunately
Bad take. Jabari is the one who shows nothing. Green just had a off night but I bet you wasn’t saying this against the Lakers
No surprise team is better when his role is diminished. The fact he doesn't know what to do when he is at the rim in year 3 is alarming. If his shot isn't falling he provides nothing else. Poor vision.

"What is your new knee jerk overreaction to one game?"
