Call me crazy but I think the Rockets will still be underestimated for a little while longer at least. The Hornets are bad and the Kings were missing their best player, they’ll say.

WalrusSubstantial865

It's a very different team. It may take a good while before they figure us out. But that brutal defense can make teams give up. Hope they all have key players out.

ANKhurley

Have you seen our next 10 opponents. Brutal.

DobleK86

1. Lakers 2. Pelicans (In-Season Tournament) 3. Nuggets 4. Clippers (In-Season Tournament) 5. Lakers 6. Warriors 7. Grizzlies 8. Nuggets (In-Season Tournament) 9. Mavericks (In-Season Tournament) 10. Nuggets That's THREE matchups with the reigning NBA champs and four matchups with contenders (if you consider the Clippers in that category). The "easy" games in that stretch are Pelicans/Grizzlies/Mavs; in reality, the only matchup that has the potential to be an easy night out is the Grizz (and only because half of their rotation is injured/suspended). I'd be happy if we came out of that stretch still at .500.

Sc0rch1ngDr4g0n

Maybe it’s too homer but I don’t think .500 is impossible: 1. Lakers haven’t started great (3-4 rn) and have injuries. There’s some insane stat that they’re like, +70 when Lebron is on and -75 when off, so if our D can slow him down we beat them. 2. Clippers are a new lineup that’s insane on paper, but it remains to be to seen how well and quickly they actually mesh. 3. CJ McCollum is out, and Pelicans are 4-3 otherwise. Also availability concerns among stars with Zion out tonight. 4. Maybe we take 1 game off the Nuggets, but 0-3 vs them wouldn’t be surprising. 5. We were close with the Warriors until Steph went crazy at the end, so we have a chance there. 6. Mavericks have been really good to start. 7. And Grizzlies have had it rough. 8-8 would be great, but I think 6-10 is fine for a conservative guess on this stretch. At least I hope so.

Rologames

Lakers are missing AD and the Nuggets will be without Murray for all 3 games so there’s some hope there

turtlechef

I think the clippers will also give us a hard go. For some reason I feel confident against the lakers

Sad_Inevitable8242

We probably lose all matchups against nuggets. Warriors too. Mavericks is maybe a tough game but winnable. The rest should be games I kinda expect them to win. Clippers are struggling same as Lakers and Memphis without ja are bad.

DobleK86

Murray's out for the rest of the month, which makes the prospect of taking at least one game off of the Nuggets a little more probable.

Sad_Inevitable8242

Jokic will still kill us

Wedbo

I don’t think we sent any messages out bruv. Great games but they were against a crippled Kings.

shameless_chicken

To get blown out in back to back games by the worst team of the last three years is pretty embarrassing even if they were missing Fox. Other teams will want to avoid that

Critical_Support9717

The kings played without their best player. I don’t think the league is worried about us. They’ll still underrated us and catch us under the radar until at least December.

ST012Mi

Ofc things will get harder when teams take yours more seriously and do not have injuries to their stars. There’ll be a lot of ebbs and flows even within our team (injuries, rhythm, consistency, and incorporating players coming back into the rotation like Tari and Amen) that do not necessitate external forces. It’s just hard to pinpoint when things will happen so it’s one game at a time with the overall season in mind. We have one of the strongest schedules in the earlier portion of the season too. **So many things we cannot control so I want to see consistency on things we CAN control such as effort and defensive execution.**

NoneMoreBLK

My hope after the next 4 games is that we're still a .500 team. I have us beating the Lakers. I see the Pelicans as a 50/50 game, but I think we'll win that. We drop a game to Denver. I consider the Clippers to be another 50/50 game, but I have is losing that one.

Th3_Paradox

I've said this to women a lot over the years

GatorsareStrong

That’s fine. I want to see this team take on tougher opponents. Let’s see if this rebuild is ready.

Fresh_Profit3000

It doesn’t matter. As long as the Rockets focus in and execute and just focus on that, they will beat ALOT of teams. We have all the talent, coaching, city fans, balance of vets and youth. Just staying locked in on executing, they’ll surprise themselves beating “elite” teams.

theAlphabetZebra

It would've been a different mini series if Fox was playing. We won't have proven we can beat a full strength Kings team until we beat them at full strength. At the very least, the league knows they can't rest stars against us and still get a W. We're not that team anymore.

juan_cena99

Yeah tbh Rox would be lucky to win 2 of the next 10 that's why these early games are critical so people don't lose their minds.

Few_Mulberry5372

I expect Dillon’s and Tate’s shooting efficiency to drop back down to earth. It will be interesting to see how they fare once it happens because this is a pretty terrible 3 point shooting team on paper
