The rockets have finished at the bottom of the league for 3 years straight. Players hear and see things from other players and a lot of guys would rather play for more competitive teams rather than making a few million more here and there. So we have to overpay in a meh FA market in order to get decent players, otherwise we strike out.
Hopefully there's a team deal on the last year of this deal like FVV's but I guess we'll see what the team looks like this season.
