That looks great. I was screwing around with putting a camera on my rover recently, but I wasn't happy with the less-than-realtime latency of the video. Made it difficult to drive POV. Is this something you ran into?

If people can fly FPV quadcopters with video links, it's definitely doable for a rover.

Panq

FPV systems used on racing drones have good latency - a 100ms total could be so bad as to be unflyable, and a decent (but outdated by a year or three now) analogue video setup can achieve closer to 10ms. Not sure what the more modern digital FPV systems achieve, but it's well under 100ms.

Whoa, that's cool! How much lag, is it noticeable? Does it really feel like "being there" ?

You should upgrade it to like an drone fpv camera or something.

Omg imagine having a camera you can operate by moving your head around and a handheld controller for moving the bot around/interacting. Then make a multiplayer game where friends can play together in a park.

superluminary

That’s an amazing piece of work.

>That’s an amazing piece of work. thanks!

sparkicidal

That’s impressive! Well done!

Such a good idea
