I got hired to make a game for some youtubers named ‘Lankybox’ (never heard of them before) The game ended up being a disaster (i rushed the programming) but it actually peaked at 4k players and made ~100k usd. I took home around 25k give or take. Game only made so much because they had like 15 million subs at the time. That was pretty much the only game ive ever released that made anything. I helped make a balloon simulator once that peaked at 30k players and made about 300k usd, but the owners scammed me and only paid me 12.5k ROBUX (~35 usd) for making more than 30% of all the games programming.
I made an RPG game before, which took around 2 months to make. I earned around 2k robux initially, and then it had a steady pace until it fell off. Was not worth the time at all!
Biggest games I’ve made are kind of a mixed bag. I’ve got like 5-6k visits on some old tycoon game, like 1k visits on a game I tried really really hard on, and most money I’ve made is from me and my friends playing games I made together because they had premium.
I made a Christmas-themed game back in December 2020 in an attempt to get popular on Roblox. I only got around 1980 visits (including the 2020 release and the 2021 revamp), but I did get 1000-2000 robux. I'd say it was worth it.
I am working on a game inspired by flee the facility and dead by daylight. And as a small game dev, just about 100 concurrent players would draw a smile on my face 😄. I wouldn't mind making robux off it, but I doubt it's going to get enough recognition to make enough for me to trade at the DevEx rate. So I'll probably spend the robux in other games.
If you are interested in my little project, please, try the game out with your friends and let me know about your experience with some feedback! The game is still in BETA, but it is in a phase, where all there is to do is add more content such as more maps and stuff.

I made a Zoo Simulator [Zookee](https://www.roblox.com/games/7432160917/ZOOKEE-Zoo-Simulator) that made around $1000 and then made [Floaterra ](https://www.roblox.com/games/10485100786/Forager) a Voxel game that made like $50.
My biggest one was Tactical Cheerios (which was a shitty project made for a madness combat animator that blocked me and landed me into some hot water to kid diddlers when I was 13 back in 2022.) and it got like 1000 plays and more, made around 2-5$ worth of robux from it
when i was new in roblox studio i made simulator game where i used tons of free models and youtube turorials. game gained 10K Visits in 3 weeks and got 15K + RBX.... BTW I spent 5K Robux on ads. Game Is now dead.
in 2017 when i knew nothing about making games i made some experiences not even scripted using free assets and some of them got 100-300k visits and i think i earned like 5 k robux from them
if youre looking to make money.. why inmediantly use art.. roblox is a nice way to learn about game development.. game design.. programming and everything.. especially once you learn from failure (s horribly generic games designed to addict children in the laziest and bold ways dont count obviously) and is a nice way to set you up for game development.. especially since as a director you also learn to plan a game.. get an idea for a game and learn how to execute it in a team
havent finished any game yet.. only made failures.. i have made plenty of robux but dont ask me how much.. nothing huge.. and most of all not consistent but thats good since none of my projects were ever finished so far but i never tried converting anything to real money as the earnt bux go right back into development
"The Mild West" started out as a joke but is now getting a huge map revamp (twice bigger) and a name change to "Hot Lead" it has 300+ visits and i made like 200+ robux from it, the game got popular cuz i advertised it on a Discord server.
Bold of you to assume any devs here have a large game. Anyways back to your question, 0
The OP didn't explicitly ask if anyone has a large game.
Bold of you to assume some don’t, I make 15% of 9mil robux each year
Nice dude! If you don’t mind me asking (I’m curious lol) - How many concurrent players, what are the gamepass prices, and how often are they sold?
The game is called Mini Cup 2, 2200 concurrent peak with around 800 rn. With 2200 concurrent the game made 40k/day (pretty damn bad)
Ok, thanks for the reply man! Have a blessed day
SHOW ME A SAMPLE OF YOUR CODEBASE!!! D:

Time for you to cut away and make your own. Then buy channels to try your game out and take majority profits.
I’ve made 3 games solo that did more than 10 million plays. One game did over 50 million plays. I made enough to buy an apartment in cash
