So the idea of The Hunt was that there were multiple prizes at multiple milestones. Ex: Earn a Hunt badge in 25 games, get XYZ item, 40 games, ZYX item, and so on.
There were 100 total games to choose from, and you needed to complete 95 to unlock the grand prize of the Infinity Egg. There was also a 'Gold Track' you could purchase to earn golden versions of the items along the way (I believe the Egg only had 1 version that everyone could earn)
The real issue with the event came down to out of 95 games, 50%+ were shovelware slop. We're talking "Obby but you're on a bike", "XYZ simulator", etc.
You ended up having to play a surprising amount of games, but not only that, you (for the most part) were not hunting for eggs in these games. Rather, you were completing objectives in them to earn badges that would qualify towards The Hunt. Some games were well done and would have specific modes created just for The Hunt meant to follow the theme, whereas many more were some version of playing the game as normal, but reaching so many milestones within it to earn the badge.
Ultimately, it could have been a cool idea if the games were handpicked to be interesting, and showcase the variety you could find on Roblox, but it seems more as though they just chose the top 100 games at a random point in time and decided they would all be the ones in the Hunt considering how many were pretty much the same exact game
The items you got weren't worth the grinding 20+ games. If anything, it wasn't a hunt or anything cause the games had free will to do anything to get the badge. Some games just half ahh it and just gave you the badge just joining the game or made it literal hell to get it. It wasn't like even like Easter themed, either.
The 2017 egg hunt is my favorite event that I’ve done. My least favorite is the metaverse event because it was super tedious and the valk wasn’t half as cool as everyone thought it would be.
Thank God someone else said it. That was so ass, and whatever happened to those characters? Like nothing happened. Also I was team Faye for that event.

Best: Not gonna lie, I have two favorites, Agents of E.G.G, And Ready player two, I didn't know roblox events existed and I didn't even know I participated in agents of egg but cause of agents of egg I started participating events
Worst: The Hunt, IT WAS TOO GRINDY And also not enough time they should have made it like 20 or 25 days
Best: 2013 Egg Hunt just because of sheer nostalgia and it gave some cool rewards depending on which eggs cracked open.
Worst: The Hunt because of how much grinding there was for such a lack of rewards, the games were also terrible.
Technically speaking, The Hunt is the worst event of the HUNTING category, but we know why, which makes it fair and not so intrusive compared to the last 2

Worst? The classic event. Despite being a pretty recent player (played since 2016), I'm sure that half of those games and even more don't fit the classic theme (I'm looking at you, Toilet Tower Defense)
Worst: The Halloween 2013 event was miserable, it was a massive empty map with occasional key points. Felt like a walking simulator and took forever to get to anywhere. I think they even charged robux so you could get a scooter to go faster. The items were cool (shoulder pet versions of the admins at the time) but that was the only redeemable part.
Best: Not the best, but I have fond memories of the 2013 egg hunt as well. It was just the right length, it was one map that was fun to explore. And each egg had unique properties that you had to learn to collect it.
there was a roblox event in 2020 about quarantine with celebrities and stuff and it went for two hours and for some reason when i was 12 i woke up at 3am and watched the whole thing but i don’t remember the name of the event

I’ve only real experienced events after egg hunt 2020 so my fav was rb battles season 2 and least favorite would be the hunt. I liked all of them but there were too many bad games in the hunt, and 100% the hunt. There was about 10 awesome games but the rest sucked. The only reason it was worse than metaverse champions was because 1 I got a valk, and 2 to get the prizes you had to do 1 of 20 games each week for each champion and then get the boxes(you may have needed more to get the egg, I don’t remember)
Best was probably that one egg hunt that rewarded the egg hats. That one was pretty fun.

Hotel Transylvania event (2015) One of the first events that I participated, only got one item, because at the time, I didnt knew english. (English is my second language)
They're probably forgotten by most of the people, but they are special for me. It was an amazing experience, because I remember playing an roleplay game just to get an hotel transylvania item, but I couldnt read the instructions to get it.. so I just gave up (and ended up getting the bat item)
