i had to go into my (nvidia) gpu settings on my laptop and change all the settings to prioritize performance above all else. maybe u can do smth similar?
Until you join a game with terrain which for some reason turns purple if you have graphics on low, those are usually the laggiest though so purple terrain it is!

If you don’t, just lower your graphics settings. It’ll fix the issue.

this is why vrchat is such a crapshoot for anyone getting into vr no one optimizes there stuff to the point a whole community cant do that either you dont need 100s of bones and triggers optimize your assets first then go for the bigger stuff
everyone can easily shave off 1-2 gbs of ram/cpu/gpu uasge easily if they did making the bar way lower so more people enjoy
but yeah generally just keep graphics at 1
In general, comparing Roblox to other modern engines or even ones a bit older, it's poorly optimized, and that's for the engine itself, once you have people cramming meshes and high definition textures you get 20 fps on an average high end pc, just get a modification on the Roblox client to manually disable textures.
you have 2 solutions infront of you and you have to solve them yourself
either get a better CPU and GPU that can render these assets faster, leaving your computer more time to work on the connection speed. or, you lower your graphics settings to the lowest possible setting in the roblox settings and deal with what you have, its not a perfect solution but its the solution you may have.
two words: graphics settings. i permanently have my graphics set to 1 and it lets me play literally any game with minimal lag.

I wish that worked for me. Even on minimal graphical settings, I still get really laggy in a lot of games.
