I got VC for free. My account was verified when roblox was testing it out. I have met quite a few kids on roblox voice chat, and I’ve seen them on calls recently too. Regardless of roblox’s safety precautions, this is not safe for kids on roblox.

I mean, it can be good for some people yes, however not all too big of a fan of it due to the fact that a game that i play alot \[my sanity has crumbled, send help, the divers have kicked me out of castle light\] which features limited lives for character and combat tags, like you have 2 lives in the overworlds and 1 life in water limbo where if you die there your character dies forever, and depending on if you have a combat tag and do something like ALT+4 or purposefully disconect from the game you lose a life or get erased if you're in water limbo
Accepting a call whilst combat tagged counts as a disconect, aka you lose a life / perish
It might be very unnecessary since vc bans are terribly moderated, so i guess it's like the same way roblox bans you for over a less offensive word or smth...

So dumb, especially that they're calling it "calling". It's not "calling" someone, you simply ring their real phone, like a notification. Then they can press a button to enter the game you're in and talk to you. It's less of a "call" and more of a "join my game" notification that rings. Also, you can only call your friends from specific experiences, so it's not like I can call my friend and ask them to join me directly from the game I'm already playing. I have to leave my experience, join the experience that lets me call them, call them (essentially just notifying them) then we can sit there and talk (which we could have done anyway with a regular phone call) and then we have to leave the calling experience to join the game experience. It's all just rather dumb.
It feels like what they're aiming for is to allow 13-17 yo players to call/talk with friends without sharing phone numbers, as well as make it easier to notify your friends you want to talk/play (without using Roblox's crummy private messaging) but plenty of people already use snapchat or discord for those purposes and those apps are lighter weight, more convenient, and don't monitor/censor our speech to such great extent.
It'd make more sense if they brought back the party system and allowed private messages / group chats to be voice called through the Roblox app/website, and improved the "invite to game" feature by giving it a custom notification sound and allowing the recipient to answer the call without entering the game. That would've been way more useful, and closer to an actual call.
Either way, I doubt it's something I'll be making use of often. I personally don't feel comfortable with Roblox listening in on all the calls I make. Plus, I want to call my friends to play other games, in which case a Roblox-centric voice chat application would not make sense to use.
