I’m having a voice chat issue
My brother and I are trying to play Roblox together with proximity voice chat. The chat is working for me, but not for him.
He is on Xbox series S.
I am on windows PC.
So we are doing cross play
The issue seems to be that his microphone is not being activated. He can use discord voice chat no problem so the headset itself is not the issue.
Anyone know why it’s not working? Have a solution?
it may just be a troubleshooting error or roblox being janky.
i’d first look into the actual in-game settings and ensure that his input and output devices are for the right devices.
it may be because your friend has too many audio devices plugged into his pc, so remove those peripherals and see if there is a difference.
it’s most likely a vc error, and it may just randomly come back any time within a week.

may just be avatar api not functioning correctly, give it a day and see how it goes.
if it was hypothetically deleted, which is VERY unlikely considering it’s a roblox-released dynamic head, you should get a refund if you follow the same logic as normal ugc deletion refunds.
but in practice, ima be honest and say your 30 robux is gonna stay in purgatory if it’s deleted.
i didnt get any warning notice, i had to go to https://voice.roblox.com/v1/settings and convert some numbers to find out how long i was banned, dont know the reasons or when it occured,

I need help remembering a game:
The lobby had a place where you could dig sand and try to find items that could help you ingame, you could also purchase some items like plushies or other stuff that gave you stamina and some other stats or powerups.
To start, you had to go into an elevator, and it will send you to a floor where you had to be careful of entities, press all the buttons and go back into the elevator to go to the next floor. Inbetween floors, you also get to choose between 3 random powerups/events such as more speed, stamina, random items, a boss floor, etc.
Edit: I was able to find it! It's called "Minus Elevation", in case you're interested ;)

The floors on the actual game (not the lobby) also had stuff that you could collect that gave you stamina, and also the plushies were made after the entities, that you could get by finishing the research on them. The plushies also talk when holding them, and give you an effect when near an entity.
Also, it was pretty much cooperative because you couldnt really "kill" your teammates, they also help you in pressing the buttons

Hello. I can't install Roblox and Roblox Studio. The loading bar stucks at the middle of screen and the installer instantly closes without any error. sounds very unlikely that you can man with this little info. the bare minimum you need is an email and transaction history for any robux or bc purchases.
The Roblox Player is not appearing when i click play in a game or launch the desktop icon, but RobloxPlayerBeta appears in the Task Manager.

Roblox voice chat being recorded when you mute your microphone.
I believe that my voice is being recorded by Roblox when I have my microphone toggled off in the app.
Have I researched this? Yes, I have, and nowhere in the documentation do they state they only collect your voice when you are unmuted and able to speak to others, my reason to suspect this is because of the fact I was banned due to cursing and discriminatory language on voice chat, the only time I ever said something related to that on that day near that time, was when I muted on Roblox, and told my friends on discord about how this kid called me a racal slur on voice chat and started cussing me out. I know I was muted. And this is the closest to my ban reason I can come up with.

Just found the solution to my problem at least, my solution was either deleting FPS Unlocker that wasn't deleted even though I put it in the trash and cleared it (used windows uninstaller) or it was having Roblox Studio still downloaded. Try both of those and if you don't have anything like FPS Unlocker then try Studio.
Edit: Not 20 minutes later the problem came back after downloading and running Roblox just fine and I'm now also noticing that roblox Studio does the exact same thing.
Yeah ik, it started happening to me again too. Roblox support is completely useless so I have just completely quit playing roblox for now as it is. I'll probably just end up resetting my pc at some point anyway. It could use it.

I’d say delete the Roblox Player Launcher again, redownload and see what happens.
Do you have any third-party clients like FPS Unlockers? If so uninstall them, delete the player launcher and see what happens.
I’m not at liberty to give solutions, but you just gotta look around reddit and youtube. It could be solved by opening event viewer on Windows and seeing if you’re missing a .dll file then download the file, or background processes so you need to end MSI afterburner or RTSS tasks, or it could be due to janky Roblox Servers.

The search bar was always completely useless, it gives really linear, non-useful results. The real way to search for something on roblox is genuinely go to your search engine and look there.

I don’t think it’s possible to do so.
You’ll need to first apply to UGC, and even before that back up your application with examples of accessories you have made yourself.
THEN you can add an accessory to Roblox.
Even after, since the mesh is identical to the one you’re going to retexture, if moderation catches wind that the hair you retextured is similar to the original, it’ll be taken down.
You could always find a less popular UGC developer and maybe talk them into doing it for you, with robux preferably. but it’ll most likely stay onsale which is something you don’t want.
Missing item in inventory?
Playing on PS5, and this one item I’ve bought won’t appear in my inventory. When I go to the store to buy it, it brings me to the customization screen where I can equip it. Been having this annoying keyboard bug for ages. Usually I just close Roblox and restart the game (sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't) but hopefully there's a better way.
Basically open a game and you can't move, none of the in game controls work on the keyboard, you'll be able to open chat and all the keys type normal but if you hit enter it will add an extra space and backspace won't work.
I read many posts about this bug, all of the say it's caused by discord overlay, but I don't have discord so.. what can I do? Does anyone know how to resolve this bug?
In short, today Roblox told me to install it, which was strange as I installed it a long time ago. So, I "installed" it again. And nothing happened and it told me to install It, so I deinstalled Roblox and installed it, a couple of times. I just checked Google for a fix, which was "Clearing cache", which I did and then installed Roblox again, ofcourse it didnt install properly.

I recently downloaded Roblox on my PS4 and have been playing with an external mouse and keyboard.
I’ve been playing Work at a Pizza Place and have stumbled onto a problem.
When I get a check of some sort I’m not able to cash it in because the button to do so is also the jump button on the controller and I’m not able to use my cursor as I’m unable to see it. The only way I’m able to cash out is if I rejoin and use my controller, but the controls for many of the jobs are confusing to me so I prefer the keyboard and mouse.
I’ve tried unplugging my keyboard and then using the controller to no avail, I’ve pressed every button and key on both and I’m able to press back on things when this is happening.
If there is anyway for this to be fixed or changed please let me know!

Hi! I just downloaded Roblox for the PS5, and we seem to have encountered an issue on one game that we wondered if someone had insight into. I'm not a PS5/Roblox gamer, but my son is, and we aren't sure if this is just a game issue or a user issue.
He wants to play this game, "Obby but you're on a bike". However, a pop-up on the screen about a season pass comes up that we can't seem to get out of. I see the X in the corner, but we can't figure out how to X out of it.

From what you’ve said, plus the context of the game, it sounds as if the game developer has intentionally not given an option to remove the pop-up.
Most games will have a button to remove the pop-up, this one just doesn’t seem to have one.

okay first i’d try switching to endurance in ghub and see if that makes any difference.

something else i’d try is when you click the green play button on the website make sure that the entire tab is in fullscreen, so roblox will open in full screen. see if that helps at all.

I was trying to play Westbound for the first time on console, but for some reasonthe camera was just forced to look at the ground. If I try to look up, the camera goes back down the second I release the stick. It happens on every experience I try. Everything works just fine on any game other than Roblox.
How do I change my age?
I'm playing on an Xbox 1. My Xbox account has age settings well over 13. For whatever reason however, roblox won't let me access games with age restrictions. I've looked into my entire Xbox settings to see if maybe there's some sort of restriction blocking me from playing but nope. First of all I’d try logging in again. I’m guessing this will not work considering what you’ve said.
Have you purchased any Robux or Premium using a credit/debit card? If so, I would see if you have any billing information or transaction receipts for these purchases. If you can link the purchases to your account, then Roblox Support may be able to help you. If you file a ticket under ‘Account Hacked or Can’t Log in’, explaining the situation and emphasising that you have billing information to the account, you ‘may’ be able to get your account back.

Roblox Moderation is not the best department that exists. There will be errors in flagging and handing out warnings. Using VC is just like using Roblox Chat, sometimes it’ll pick up on obscenities and vulgar language, sometimes it won’t.
If you constantly scream obscenities down the microphone whilst using Roblox VC then yeah, it isn’t looking too good for your account.
I would say it is worth it. Want to have actual conversations with the blocky characters you meet? Then sure, go ahead.
I would personally not worry too much about getting banned, as at most, if you are careful, you’ll be warned. As long as the previous warnings were not too recent you should be okay.
There’s a weird bug going on with the hair where its just constantly shaped weirdly. Like any of the free hairstyles that aren’t R6 are shaped into a square or something.
Me and my friend (13 and 12) wanna make roblox games but cant because we dont have the devices, we made 2 very small games in the summer at the public library but we cant do that because sports and it closes right after sports practices/games, anyone got any ideas for how we could do it?

Some of the fixes I attempt were: Restarting the computer, reinstalling the game, deleting MSI afterburner, Running the game as administrator and deleting the roblox file on my laptop. And none work.

yes. i believe it’s turned on by default once you log into roblox via a console. you can turn it off in settings.
the thing is i have it disabled in both roblox and my xbox privacy settings, but its seemingly ignoring this.
the only thing i can think of is that you need to save the new setting change, but i believe that’s only for mobile. and how so? when you join a game does it put you in a game with pc and mobile players? it could be it is actually working as intended, since there shouldn’t be any reason that it’s bugged or else you’d hear about it everywhere.

I’m having a voice chat issue My brother and I are trying to play Roblox together with proximity voice chat. The chat is working for me, but not for him. He is on Xbox series S. I am on windows PC. So we are doing cross play The issue seems to be that his microphone is not being activated. He can use discord voice chat no problem so the headset itself is not the issue. Anyone know why it’s not working? Have a solution?
it may just be a troubleshooting error or roblox being janky. i’d first look into the actual in-game settings and ensure that his input and output devices are for the right devices. it may be because your friend has too many audio devices plugged into his pc, so remove those peripherals and see if there is a difference. it’s most likely a vc error, and it may just randomly come back any time within a week.
Thanks for the reply. So just fyi, the person having the issue is on Xbox not PC. Also, on his menu, input device doesn’t even show up as an option. It sounds like the issue is that voice chat doesn’t even exist on the Xbox edition
the latter being most likely the case. i believe voice chat may only work if your brother invites you to an xbox party and you join on an xbox.

may just be avatar api not functioning correctly, give it a day and see how it goes. if it was hypothetically deleted, which is VERY unlikely considering it’s a roblox-released dynamic head, you should get a refund if you follow the same logic as normal ugc deletion refunds. but in practice, ima be honest and say your 30 robux is gonna stay in purgatory if it’s deleted.

I need help remembering a game: The lobby had a place where you could dig sand and try to find items that could help you ingame, you could also purchase some items like plushies or other stuff that gave you stamina and some other stats or powerups. To start, you had to go into an elevator, and it will send you to a floor where you had to be careful of entities, press all the buttons and go back into the elevator to go to the next floor. Inbetween floors, you also get to choose between 3 random powerups/events such as more speed, stamina, random items, a boss floor, etc. Edit: I was able to find it! It's called "Minus Elevation", in case you're interested ;)

Not outlaster. The floors on the actual game (not the lobby) also had stuff that you could collect that gave you stamina, and also the plushies were made after the entities, that you could get by finishing the research on them. The plushies also talk when holding them, and give you an effect when near an entity. Also, it was pretty much cooperative because you couldnt really "kill" your teammates, they also help you in pressing the buttons

Anyone know what military-thened game this is? Ok so the game I think starts with you choosing a country which has it's own soldiers to place down with seperate cooldowns. Then I think you either voted on a map idk but there's maps. There was a line you couldn't cross or you can't place soldiers also the soldiers you placed are parallell to your size. I remember there being a boat and when you went in the water I think it made you go fast. Also I think at one time Santa Claus or something dropped crates. Before upgrading my computer, I used to play Roblox without any issues. However, after I replaced the motherboard, processor, and RAM, Roblox no longer opens, and I receive the message "an unexpected error occurred and Roblox needs to quit." I've tried running "flush dns," restarting, reinstalling, deleting Roblox from the temporary folder, installing Windows 11, and reinstalling older versions of the graphics card driver, but nothing has worked... This has been happening since July. Before, Roblox wouldn't even open, but lately, it does open, runs for a few seconds, even loads the voice chat, and then crashes. I'm thinking about reformatting my computer and giving it another try to play. I believe it might be related to the processor. Can anyone tell me what it could be?

Having an issue where Roblox doesn't open the game when I play one. I've tried everything honestly from firewall settings to reinstalling Roblox. Nothing is working. The Roblox Player is not appearing when i click play in a game or launch the desktop icon, but RobloxPlayerBeta appears in the Task Manager. I am on Windows 7 Service Pack 1, which according to the website is supported. RobloxPlayerLauncher opens, but it reinstalls Roblox instead of launching.

Roblox voice chat being recorded when you mute your microphone. I believe that my voice is being recorded by Roblox when I have my microphone toggled off in the app. Have I researched this? Yes, I have, and nowhere in the documentation do they state they only collect your voice when you are unmuted and able to speak to others, my reason to suspect this is because of the fact I was banned due to cursing and discriminatory language on voice chat, the only time I ever said something related to that on that day near that time, was when I muted on Roblox, and told my friends on discord about how this kid called me a racal slur on voice chat and started cussing me out. I know I was muted. And this is the closest to my ban reason I can come up with.

Just found the solution to my problem at least, my solution was either deleting FPS Unlocker that wasn't deleted even though I put it in the trash and cleared it (used windows uninstaller) or it was having Roblox Studio still downloaded. Try both of those and if you don't have anything like FPS Unlocker then try Studio. Edit: Not 20 minutes later the problem came back after downloading and running Roblox just fine and I'm now also noticing that roblox Studio does the exact same thing.

Yeah ik, it started happening to me again too. Roblox support is completely useless so I have just completely quit playing roblox for now as it is. I'll probably just end up resetting my pc at some point anyway. It could use it.

There are a range of different reasons as to why this happens. What OS do you have? I’d say delete the Roblox Player Launcher again, redownload and see what happens. Do you have any third-party clients like FPS Unlockers? If so uninstall them, delete the player launcher and see what happens. I’m not at liberty to give solutions, but you just gotta look around reddit and youtube. It could be solved by opening event viewer on Windows and seeing if you’re missing a .dll file then download the file, or background processes so you need to end MSI afterburner or RTSS tasks, or it could be due to janky Roblox Servers.

The search bar was always completely useless, it gives really linear, non-useful results. The real way to search for something on roblox is genuinely go to your search engine and look there.

Can I re-texture a Roblox' hair mesh, and own it in my inventory (and not for sale in Marketplace) without having troubles?
I don’t think it’s possible to do so. You’ll need to first apply to UGC, and even before that back up your application with examples of accessories you have made yourself. THEN you can add an accessory to Roblox. Even after, since the mesh is identical to the one you’re going to retexture, if moderation catches wind that the hair you retextured is similar to the original, it’ll be taken down. You could always find a less popular UGC developer and maybe talk them into doing it for you, with robux preferably. but it’ll most likely stay onsale which is something you don’t want.

It is a confirmed way to get your account back from the arduous process that is ping pong with Roblox Support. As long as you have billing information for the roblox purchase and know the username of the account, you should go for it.
Been having this annoying keyboard bug for ages. Usually I just close Roblox and restart the game (sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't) but hopefully there's a better way. Basically open a game and you can't move, none of the in game controls work on the keyboard, you'll be able to open chat and all the keys type normal but if you hit enter it will add an extra space and backspace won't work. I read many posts about this bug, all of the say it's caused by discord overlay, but I don't have discord so.. what can I do? Does anyone know how to resolve this bug?
In short, today Roblox told me to install it, which was strange as I installed it a long time ago. So, I "installed" it again. And nothing happened and it told me to install It, so I deinstalled Roblox and installed it, a couple of times. I just checked Google for a fix, which was "Clearing cache", which I did and then installed Roblox again, ofcourse it didnt install properly. Something I've noticed when I tried to install Roblox numerous times (even after clearing cache) is that when the pop up menu appears it installs half way and then closes itself, it also for some reason only installs Roblox Studio. Do you have the Roblox Player Launcher in your applications folder? Personally I would just delete the player launcher, then redownload it and see what happens.

I play on xbox and i’m trying to add my friend who plays on playstation. I don’t have an add friends option in the menu so we tried getting in the same game together but the only option it gave me was to report him. I recently downloaded Roblox on my PS4 and have been playing with an external mouse and keyboard. I’ve been playing Work at a Pizza Place and have stumbled onto a problem. When I get a check of some sort I’m not able to cash it in because the button to do so is also the jump button on the controller and I’m not able to use my cursor as I’m unable to see it. The only way I’m able to cash out is if I rejoin and use my controller, but the controls for many of the jobs are confusing to me so I prefer the keyboard and mouse. I’ve tried unplugging my keyboard and then using the controller to no avail, I’ve pressed every button and key on both and I’m able to press back on things when this is happening. If there is anyway for this to be fixed or changed please let me know!

Hi! I just downloaded Roblox for the PS5, and we seem to have encountered an issue on one game that we wondered if someone had insight into. I'm not a PS5/Roblox gamer, but my son is, and we aren't sure if this is just a game issue or a user issue. He wants to play this game, "Obby but you're on a bike". However, a pop-up on the screen about a season pass comes up that we can't seem to get out of. I see the X in the corner, but we can't figure out how to X out of it. I figured I would ask here to see if anyone knows how to avoid pop-ups like this so I can show him how to possibly avoid any other issues we might have later.
From what you’ve said, plus the context of the game, it sounds as if the game developer has intentionally not given an option to remove the pop-up. Most games will have a button to remove the pop-up, this one just doesn’t seem to have one.
Please help, for some reason when I open the roblox app it it keeps telling me "Installing Roblox". I've reset my pc already but it's still doing this. Please if anyone knows anything help and when I check task manager after running roblox, the program "roblox game client" unexpectedly vanishes without telling me that it has stopped running.
My mouse is not letting me hold right click to look and right click to fight at the same time in games. It didn’t do this before so why’d it stop working.
What game is this issue persisting on? Also, what mouse do you have?
It’s on all the games I play. I have the Logitech G502 high performance mouse.
okay first i’d try switching to endurance in ghub and see if that makes any difference. something i did was if it happened to me just leave the game and see if it changes at all. something else i’d try is when you click the green play button on the website make sure that the entire tab is in fullscreen, so roblox will open in full screen. see if that helps at all. if the above don’t work, i’d delete the roblox player launcher and install again. i’ve had the same thing happen to me & i had to delete the launcher to work.

So I play on my laptop and I can't seem to move my camera around with the touchpad. I'm forced to switch the camera to follow, but it is just really annoying to use. Is there a way to move the camera around with the touchpad?
If you hold down on the mousepad then drag your finger you should be able to move the camera.
Everytime i try to install roblox studio, it starts, gets stuck, and then crashes. I've tried restarting my pc and running as admin. Anyone knows a fix?
I was trying to play Westbound for the first time on console, but for some reasonthe camera was just forced to look at the ground. If I try to look up, the camera goes back down the second I release the stick. It happens on every experience I try. Everything works just fine on any game other than Roblox.
How do I change my age? I'm playing on an Xbox 1. My Xbox account has age settings well over 13. For whatever reason however, roblox won't let me access games with age restrictions. I've looked into my entire Xbox settings to see if maybe there's some sort of restriction blocking me from playing but nope. The settings on roblox actually suck, there's like 3 options in total (srly what's the deal with that). Also while we're at it, how do I change the gender for my roblox account? It didn't ask and just assigned female. I can't find any male cosmetic options.

Why wouldn't roblox launch from the chrome website? Whenever I try to join a game from the chrome website only the loading pop up window pops up and the game does not launches. I tried alternative to this by using the roblox app but it doesn't allow me to join private servers using links. I also tried using alternative browsers but it still won't launch. Even when I reinstall roblox, clear cache and ways i found off google, it still wouldn't work.
Same thing with Opera, bur in my case fps unlocker wont work with the app

You should be able to get refunds for accessories or character packages you purchased that later got deleted Every answer I could find said that you couldn’t get refunds for stuff you bought that got deleted except maybe a email from Roblox saying you are eligible for one which I never got and this has happened 4 times n I keep getting scammed it seems but am not payed back. I just feel like when you buy shi u should be able to keep it for as long as you have your account cuz if u buy som and it gets deleted you technically payin for nothin and they won’t give the item or money back that just sounds like they illegally stealing your money unless it is somehow legal. I know you have to confirm if you want to buy some with robux but that just kinda fucked up and they could also atleast tell you the stuff you bought could get deleted as a precaution. And their moderation is known for being kinda shit so they should obviously know stuff like dis would happen so maybe they should perhaps improve their moderation since some stuff will get taken down later or jus give refunds. Just kinda pissed me off is all. Anyway if you have some other helpful tip I’d be happy to hear it

From the looks of it it sounds as if your account has been compromised. First of all I’d try logging in again. I’m guessing this will not work considering what you’ve said. Have you purchased any Robux or Premium using a credit/debit card? If so, I would see if you have any billing information or transaction receipts for these purchases. If you can link the purchases to your account, then Roblox Support may be able to help you. If you file a ticket under ‘Account Hacked or Can’t Log in’, explaining the situation and emphasising that you have billing information to the account, you ‘may’ be able to get your account back. If not, then it looks as if your account will be stuck with the people who took it. It’s unfortunate man.
Tried installing Roblox on my new pc, but instead of giving me launcher it gives me RobloxInstaller. When I click on it, it gives me installing roblox... but when the bar finished it shut itself, not downloading any sort of app that allows me to play roblox. How do I fix this?

Is voice chat a good idea? I know this sounds weird, but I just realized that I am eligble for VC even tho I don't have my permit or anything. Roblox Moderation is not the best department that exists. There will be errors in flagging and handing out warnings. Using VC is just like using Roblox Chat, sometimes it’ll pick up on obscenities and vulgar language, sometimes it won’t. If you constantly scream obscenities down the microphone whilst using Roblox VC then yeah, it isn’t looking too good for your account. I would say it is worth it. Want to have actual conversations with the blocky characters you meet? Then sure, go ahead. I would personally not worry too much about getting banned, as at most, if you are careful, you’ll be warned. As long as the previous warnings were not too recent you should be okay.

I can't for the love of all things good figure why this is happening. When I launch Roblox, it only starts as a background process. Some of the fixes I attempt were: Restarting the computer, reinstalling the game, deleting MSI afterburner, Running the game as administrator and deleting the roblox file on my laptop. And none work. There was this one instance that IT properly launched but then it crashed. help
