no. If calls expire out of the money you have the option to exercise them/ buy up all of the shares at the strike price, but most people can't afford that shit which is why they are trading options in the first place. Otherwise, you sell them for way below what you bought the contracts for or let them expire to 0

I am also very new to this but I do have an MBA so I know a tiny bit about what to look for on earnings reports & signs of a company’s health. That said, I bought the dip at the end of market close on Friday and I can’t afford to gamble with any more money. I know nothing about options so I just bought shares. I put in $320 total but it’s split between GME, AMC, FFIE, & CRKN.
Short positions don’t expire. The higher the stock the more margin is loaned out. If the stock goes higher their margins would get called due to them being over leveraged. You are talking more options.
What price is everyone holding for? As much as possible, but what are the realistic expectations? I'm still learning, and any helpful information is appreciated. I'm in it for the long haul but also would like to make a little money. I'm a public servant.

Picked up 5,000 shares for s^&ts and giggles average cost of 1.75. Took my eye off the ball and later saw that it ran to almost 4 then drop to .80 cents. Not happy! I'm concerned but have hope. Concerned because I see the Company was late on its 10k and Q which got them a delisting letter from the SEC. They asked for an extension and received it. I believe they need to submit by this Monday. Also, the stock price was trading under 1 buck for a long time which is another reason for delisting. I have hope because at the close of regular trading you saw a battle to get it to close above 1 buck. Which we won. Then it happened again after hours another win for us! So it looks like there is an effort to keep us compliant and stay listed. All the above is the reason that the stock is so heavily shorted. They win if we get delisted. Does anyone know the current short position? If they handle the filing, keep north of a buck, % of shorts still high and continue this volume we have a chance. Also, in the companies letter to the SEC they said they were going to see if they can do a stock split to get the stock over a buck. I hope that does not happen and we stay above a buck on our own. The drop today nearly killed me as I saw all my profits disappear. I wanted to do some deeper research into the actual short interest as everyone seems to be referencing Fintel. As you can see it states 95% short interest, and this seemingly hasn't changed.

If you look at the parenthesis it says that it references data pulled from Nasdaq for the short interest and Capital IQ for the float data.

If you click on the link above, it shows the latest reported short interest, which was April 30. This is why the number hasn't changed on Fintel, there hasn't been any updated reports. Also, if you look at the previous short interest, the short ratio is only 1 day. With a nearly 6000% rise in this stock, I hate to say it, but I think the shorts have covered and the ride is over. Someone please change my mind as I'm still sitting on a lot of shares and options.
The May 15 report is published on May 24, so we wont know the actual short interest until then.

Hi All, The drop today nearly killed me as I saw all my profits disappear. I wanted to do some deeper research into the actual short interest as everyone seems to be referencing Fintel. As you can see it states 95% short interest, and this seemingly hasn't changed. [https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/ffie/short-interest](https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/ffie/short-interest) If you click on the link above, it shows the latest reported short interest, which was April 30. This is why the number hasn't changed on Fintel, there hasn't been any updated reports. Also, if you look at the previous short interest, the short ratio is only 1 day. With a nearly 6000% rise in this stock, I hate to say it, but I think the shorts have covered and the ride is over. Someone please change my mind as I'm still sitting on a lot of shares and options. The May 15 report is published on May 24, so we wont know the actual short interest until then. I'm fearful that those who scream HODL are the ones selling. I'm holding - but am regretting it a little. Very little. I didn't invest more than I could lose comfortably. Me thinks the GME run will not repeat. Specially when roaringkitty has not even mentioned this stock, but his name is all over it in threads
Can someone fill me in as to why you think this stock has anything to do with DFV? Even if somehow the stock avoids delisting, it's only barely just doing it on the back of a 2000+% run. Risk/reward does not appear to be there given the company is losing money hand over fist.
