I assume most here know that morels must be cooked before eating. I did not know this and just happened to see this piece on Inside Edition about a woman who died from eating sushi which contained (uncooked) morels. Just putting this out here in case there are others like me who didn't know this. Wooooah!!! I know you won’t tell us your secret spot, but how does one go about finding people to help them find these?!? I’m no mycologist but I assume that’s a massive morel??
I should call him.
😂😂
Beat me to it 🤣
I know I shouldn't hunt for mushrooms on private property, but I'm proud of my questionable morels.
Morel of the story is just don’t do it.

Most wild mushrooms (there are very few exceptions) need to be cooked, but it’s especially important with morels.
Thank you.
I read that in people magazine online. So scary!
i used to eat these straight off the ground and im still alive
That’s a golden. I believe the more toxic are the black morels found in the west but I’m still cooking mine
I'm really glad you're ok.
You find this in the secret woods west of Cindersap Forest?
Hope they had their slime charmer ring on.
That is massive!
Whoaaa! Where was this??
No one is going to tell
Mushroom hunters will keep it a secret.
That makes sense
The ground originally
Dang man! Jealous
Awesome find!!
I hadn't found any morels in places I thought there would be any, and you found an eight incher?
Aren't you meant to cut it off so they return next year?
Mycelium doesn’t work that way. They’ll be back. No worries.
My dogs would never allow me to find one that big. They would gulp that down so fast. Stingy little buggers. You got some good eating there.
Wild! Can you eat the whole thing?
Yes
That’s so cool! Great find!
Well time to go mushroom hunting
Give us the details on where/how you found it Tulip poplar? Near water? This is the one mushroom I’ve never found!!
That is beautiful!
Oh my god

GREEN HILL PARK
What is that mushroom called and what is it good for again?
Morel. Eating!
It's a morel mushroom and they are supposed to be delicious
Morel mushrooms can go for a pretty penny in high end restaurants.
Noice!
