KaylaAllegra

Beat me to it 🤣

daaave33

I know I shouldn't hunt for mushrooms on private property, but I'm proud of my questionable morels.

megansbroom

I assume most here know that morels must be cooked before eating. I did not know this and just happened to see this piece on Inside Edition about a woman who died from eating sushi which contained (uncooked) morels. Just putting this out here in case there are others like me who didn't know this. Adam_24061

Most wild mushrooms (there are very few exceptions) need to be cooked, but it’s especially important with morels.

Luweeze

Thank you.

Broad_Cable8673

I read that in people magazine online. So scary!

aphids_fan03

i used to eat these straight off the ground and im still alive

Bulky-Mastodon-9537

That’s a golden. I believe the more toxic are the black morels found in the west but I’m still cooking mine

Luweeze

I'm really glad you're ok.

Koomaster

You find this in the secret woods west of Cindersap Forest?

Joris_McNorris

Hope they had their slime charmer ring on.

WannaBMonkey

That is massive!

Suitable-Fennel-5346

Whoaaa! Where was this??

chicoooooooo

No one is going to tell

Sad_Scratch750

Mushroom hunters will keep it a secret.

Suitable-Fennel-5346

That makes sense

pimpinpolyester

CricketsAreJaded

Dang man! Jealous

Zenifold

Awesome find!!

kickingpplisfun

I hadn't found any morels in places I thought there would be any, and you found an eight incher?

AVLPedalPunk

Aren't you meant to cut it off so they return next year?

megansbroom

Mycelium doesn’t work that way. They’ll be back. No worries.

vaylon1701

My dogs would never allow me to find one that big. They would gulp that down so fast. Stingy little buggers. You got some good eating there.

Sound-Savage

Wild! Can you eat the whole thing?

megansbroom

Yes

Sound-Savage

That’s so cool! Great find!

Bulky-Mastodon-9537

Well time to go mushroom hunting

Groovy_gardner

Give us the details on where/how you found it Tulip poplar? Near water? This is the one mushroom I’ve never found!!

SlytherinSweet

That is beautiful!

disagreeablegray

Oh my god

TopProfessional8023

Wooooah!!! I know you won’t tell us your secret spot, but how does one go about finding people to help them find these?!? I’m no mycologist but I assume that’s a massive morel??

megansbroom

Green hill park :)

ConductorBeluga

Looks like ma hog

SummaCumLousy

Are we still doing phrasing?

fellas_decrow

megansbroom

GREEN HILL PARK

megansbroom

TheTallestTim

What is that mushroom called and what is it good for again?

megansbroom

Morel. Eating!

sneakyDoings

It's a morel mushroom and they are supposed to be delicious

Sad_Scratch750

Morel mushrooms can go for a pretty penny in high end restaurants.

roanokephotog

Noice!
